Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Netto E. Takashi Gender: Male Age: 21 Height: 6'2 Weight: 130 lbs. Description or Image of Character Appearance: Lean build, shoulder-length blond hair, tends to wear black. Has a sash across his chest in which his PET is held--this sash is brown leather. Wears a purple smock to protect his mouth and nose from dust and such, though it has little effect on things like sleeping gas. Also wears a pair of light blue objects over his ears. These objects are round and flat, with a dial on one and a button on the other. This is his ADAPT System (see below). Occupation: Official NetBattler (SSS-Rank) Alignment: Light Powers/ Abilities: Hacking Skillz: Netto is highly skilled, able to crack devices that have moderately good security without too much difficulty. He requires a noticeable amount of time to crack high-security devices, but if time is no issue, he can crack almost anything short of the Mother Computer. His PET contains a large assortment of hacking tools. For instance, one device is designed to overload a security system (mainly firewalls) with thousands of pings, either crashing the security system (particularly if he pulls the Ping of Death) or generating Denial of Service messages for anyone trying to legitimately get in for the next few hours. Keep in mind that this level of hacking skill is based on EXE standards. Translate that to the standards of any other world, and unless someone else from 200X is there to stop him, Netto can hack just about any system. Futuristic Knowledge: Netto has learned of many futuristic technologies during a period when he was trapped in his own world's post-apocalyptic future. Among the things he's learned are a method for creating diamonds from such raw materials as coal, and how to create a mysterious substance known as Dimensionite. While Dimensionite is quite potent in his home dimension, its uses outside of EXE are highly limited. Raw Dimensionite can be used as a rough shield or armor, which reduces attack damage from Dimensionalized Navis by a considerable amount. Any use of diamonds as anything other than jewelery (i.e., an easy source of money) must be given staff approval at the time. The same is true of new Dimensionite-based technology, or any other application of this ability. Dimensional Expertise: Netto has had a great deal of experience with dimensional items, even disassembling a Dimensional Area Generator to create his original GungnirSP hilt. This makes him somewhat of an expert in the field of dimensionology. If it involves dimensionalization, he probably knows how it works. Not quite skilled enough to build his own Dimensional Area Generators, but he's pretty close. This means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the world of Hyakuji High. Gettin' Lost Powahz: "Inherited" from his brother Ed, Netto has the ability to get lost travelling from point A to point B, and somehow end up at point Q×-i. In other words, he can enter just about anywhere from just about anywhere, provided it's NOT where he was originally trying to go. He has been known to emerge from locked broom closets (which are mysteriously locked again after he emerges), and rather than note how bizarre that is, look around for something to do. (His Powahz have the odd ability to deposit him "somewhere useful, convenient, and/or interesting" every time. Basically, wherever *I* want him to be.) Equipment You Have: EON-brand Explosive Pistol: Instead of bullets, this gun is loaded with miniature glass shells that contain a highly volatile substance. When the shell impacts a wall, a person, etc., if the force of the impact does not itself shatter the glass, a needle point in the tip of the shell is pressed through a thin film within the canister, breaking open this film and releasing the chemical within. Either way, a large explosion is produced. The gun itself is modified to hold one more ammo than standard pistols (7 rounds instead of 6). GungnirSP: A powerful, spear-type weapon Netto has programmed. When combined with the Dimensionite Battle Staff (see next), he can bring this spear out into the Real World. Doing so requires that Netto's Navi currently be Dimensionalized (see CrossDimensional Chip below). The spear itself deals a moderate amount of damage, but it also powers up more than usual when infused with Light or Dark power. The spear can block any attacks any spear could logically block (so no blocking fireballs), even if they're up to twice as strong as the spear itself. Dimensionite Battle Staff: A 3' staff made of a dimensional alloy. Able to block and deflect attacks from Dimensionalized Navis, though it deals virtually no damage when used to attack them. Also serves as a hilt for GungnirSP, above. This staff CAN be used by a Crossfused or otherwise Dimensionalized Navi, but it doesn't function at full capacity. In the hands of a human or similar, incredibly powerful attacks can be blocked or deflected to the side (NOT back at their source or any other specific target), while attacks that are too strong to block pass through the staff at half strength. (Reminder: this only applies to Dimensional attacks, i.e. attacks launched by Dimensionalized Navis.) In a Navi's hands, attacks of more than moderate strength are unaffected by the staff. In either case, the staff can only be used to protect its wielder, nobody else. Like Netto's Dimensional Expertise, this was far more useful in its home dimension. Diamond Briefcase: Lined with thick sheets of gold padding and filled to the brim with diamonds. Worth no less than $0.9M. Seemingly faultless, making it nigh-impossible to break. Due to its incredible value, Netto tends to leave this at home, under the tightest security imaginable. Good source of money, though. Dimensionite Magnet Gloves: Dimensionite gloves than can create a strong magnetic field, and have no other effects. Mainly used to keep an incredibly firm grip on the Dimensionite Staff, or, failing that, retrieve it swiftly and easily when it gets knocked away or stolen. Maximum range is ten feet. Fingerless. Fitted perfectly to Netto's hands. Cannot be used to generate EMPs or otherwise mess up electronics, unless they are being held DIRECTLY by Netto, in which case it can mess them up right good. Does not affect people or Navis that aren't wearing and/or made of metal (it would affect MetalMan, for instance, but not MegaMan). Dimensional Transporter: Netto originally obtained this device upon joining a criminal group from his home dimension known as Tantalus. To make a long story short, Netto got it retrofitted during a few months where his use of it ended up with him trapped in the post-apocalyptic future, and now it allows him to travel to any world, in areas where the dimensional fabric is sufficiently weak. For instance, in his home dimension, he can travel to the parallel dimension Beyondard and back, but he will always emerge from the established Fossa Ambiance at one end or the other. This device has a long recharge time, and can only be used once per RW month. Otherwise, it's a very handy device for travelling between worlds. This device is actually MORE useful here than back in Netto's home dimension. ADAPT System: Short for "Audio Dampening And Pitch Tuning System," this device, which Netto is constantly wearing over his ears, automatically adjusts the volume of sounds that enter Netto's ears. It will not normally increase the volume of sounds, but it can be manually adjusted to do so. It will, however, dampen any noise loud enough to cause hearing damage, with a half second delay (it can't adjust instantly). In addition, this device can be tuned to specifically mid-range pitches, the range human voices tend to center around, and amplify just that part, allowing Netto to eavesdrop from the other side of a waterfall if he needs to. Smock: Netto is always wearing this purple piece of cloth over his mouth and nose. It blocks dust and debris from entering his lungs, and reduces the impact of bad odors. Other than that, it really doesn't do much. PET: Netto's Personal Exploration Terminal. Spectrum Omega resides within. Profile in second post. (WARNING: Ridiculously in-depth! Not to be read by the faint of heart!) One thing of particular notice is that Spectrum's alignment is Dark, the opposite of Netto's. Battlechips: No good PET would be complete without Battlechips! Netto has an extensive library of Battlechips, including, but not limited to, 5 copies of PopUp, 2 copies of AntiRecovery, at least 1 copy of every other Anti-chip, FullCustom, FastGauge, the PoisonPharoah ingredients, etc. etc. etc. NOTE: Netto may occasionally pull out one or two chips he does NOT own back on EXERPG. Using DarkChips does NOT destroy them as it does back there, and adding to the "Darkchip counter" boosts Spectrum's "Dark level" gradually. Exact amount of boost per Darkchip to be determined by staff. Programs: HeatGuts Style, AquaCustom Style, ElecBrother Style, WoodShield Style, and a bunch of others. Really, just look at my sig over on EXE. I know I plan to. CrossDimensional Chip: With this, Netto can bring Spectrum into the Real World at any time. While Spectrum is Dimensionalized, Netto becomes able to use GungnirSP (above). Spectrum can also fuse with Netto, warping instantly to Netto's location in order to do so. Doing so restores a moderate amount of vitality to both Netto and Spectrum. Fusion can only be maintained for eight of his actions (it CAN be exited prematurely), and once exited, Spectrum must wait at least eight of his posts before he can perform fusion again. Spectrum cannot appear in a separate topic from Netto, though one can leave before the other. Since Netto and Spectrum have opposite alignments, fusing them allows them to harness abilities of BOTH alignments at the same time. However, this results in chaos within, harming both Netto and Spectrum, and causing them to split one turn sooner for each time abilities are doubled up like this. Personality Description: He does his own thing. He used to be all too friendly with people on all sides of any potential conflict, but being stuck in the future for several months hardened his attitude quite a bit. He strongly believes that the unnatural tear in space/time caused by the Heartless linking up worlds is a VERY BAD THING, one which must be stopped. His Navi, however, while acknowledging that the Heartless are bad, also realizes the potential to be gained in harnessing their power...power which resonates with the Darkchips he carries around, bolstering them so they don't break when used, and allowing him to access the powers of darkness without risk of overdosing and deletion. Personal History: Netto was basically your average high school student with dreams of being like Lan. Then he made friends with the Dark Side, and the ONB hasn't forgiven him since. They let him back in eventually, though, probably because they realized he was more of a threat working directly against them than he was working for them. Netto remained good for a time, though he eventually figured out a way to circumvent, and later remove, the limiter his friend Randy put in place to prevent him from doing evil things. Not all that long after going evil again, Netto mysteriously vanished. He reappeared a few months later in a flash of light. It turns out he somehow got trapped in an alternate future, then came back to prevent events that would lead to that world's apocalypse. He didn't succeed in stopping the trigger event that set the whole apocalypse in motion, but with the cooperation of several major organizations, he did eventually manage to block out all the aftershocks, cutting the chain reaction short and averting the apocalypse he had foreseen. Just as he was relaxing from a job well done, he noticed the fabric of the universe being ripped a new one. With a giant anger tick, he set out to find out what made this happen, and how he could repair it. Mashed Potatoes? There is no spoon. Edited by Netto E. Takashi, Sep 25 2009, 12:41 AM.

Net Navi Name: Spectrum Omega Gender: Male Element: Variable Sub-Element: None (sort of...see Weather Ball below) Alignment: Dark Main Weapon: Weather Ball >M. Weapon Attributes: Spectrum Omega can throw several varieties of bombs, or fire them from a buster. (NOTE: One "panel" is roughly 3 feet, or 1 meter, across.) - He has an EnergyBall, with a one-panel explosion radius that deals 8 hits of pitiful damage. The total damage is a fair amount. - He has a CrossBall that hits five panels in a plus (+) shape for a moderate amount of damage. - He has a BigBall that explodes over a 3×3-panel area, but deals only a low amount of damage. - Finally, he has an UltraBall that hits a 5×5-panel area for pitiful damage. Only one type of Ball can be used per attack. In addition, whenever Spectrum uses a chip, his Sub-Element changes to one of the Element(s) the last chip he used had. When using a Program Advance, Spectrum takes on one of the Elements of the PA itself, ignoring its ingredients. Each Sub-Element gives Spectrum's Weather Balls one additional ability, as detailed below. Only activating a chip or PA triggers this--continuing use of a chip or PA that is already active (e.g., AirSword, Phoenix, PopUp) has no effect. Sacrificing a chip for some other effect, such as entering a Cross, does not trigger this either. Elemental Abilities of Weather Ball Sub Weapon: Double Custom >S. Weapon Attributes: Spectrum has two Custom Gauges. This is because he's connected to two separate PETs, and the two customs are referred to as Netto's Custom and Randy's Custom. Now, before anyone starts flaming me, I must hasten to add that each custom can only hold half the chips it normally can. This effectively splits Spectrum's custom in two. Here are the repercussions of this: Double Custom effects I think that's everything, though it's possible I missed something, in which case such a thing will be edited in when noticed. That also came out longer than I expected. Apologies to anyone needing to read my bio.In addition to all of the above, Spectrum can be Dimensionalized TWICE in the same topic, with each Spectrum taking one of the two customs, and the two Spectrums sharing health. This has several implications of its own: Double Spectrum effects Again, I may have missed something, and if I did, I'll edit it in later. Thankfully, this list wasn't TOO long.Description:
Background History: DisreSpectrum (Netto's previous Navi) and Wild Card (Randy's previous Navi) fused into one when Netto attempted to imbue Spectrum with all the multi-elemental glory he once had. The experiment came out slightly wrong, so Wild Card went in to correct the problematic areas, only to have his data torn apart and slapped onto Spectrum. Wild Card's core is a program called Random.dat, which had been kept stable by an ablative coating of Alpha goop (long story). When this was absorbed into Spectrum, all the errors that kept popping up were miraculously replaced with reports of success, and Spectrum Omega was able to be finalized. After getting over some philosophical issues, mainly involving the fact he had two sets of totally different memories now, Spectrum Omega was deemed battle-ready. His experiment finally completed, Netto went to relax on Jawaii Beach and...well, just read Netto's bio. Randy ended up following later. Unlocked Potential: Master Style X >U. Potential Attributes: This can only be activated by sacrificing as many chips as can be held in both Spectrum's customs at the same time, and only if at least one opponent has suffered a massive amount of damage (i.e., they are at critical health). However, unlike with most Unlocked Potentials, Spectrum does NOT need to go one turn without attacking beforehand. When activated, Spectrum obtains a high-accuracy paintball gun, which he may fire at any target(s) he chooses, up to three shots per turn. The paintballs from this gun deal no damage, and their paint wears off four turns after being applied, or as soon as a damaging Water-based attack hits the painted target. Paintballs CAN hit opponents that are using defensive or stealth-based effects, and are not blocked by shields, barriers, or Auras. Spectrum may continue to use the paintball gun for as long as he wants, though he may not use any other attacks or defensive abilities while using the paintball gun, and no new chips may be inserted. Once at least one target that has taken a truly incredible amount of damage (i.e., they're at fairly low health, but not necessarily critical) is marked by a paintball, Spectrum can initiate the main feature of this ability, listed below, at any time prior to that target's paint wearing off. If, at any time, Spectrum wishes to give up on marking targets, he may discard the paintball gun and resume battling as normal. The chips sacrificed to initiated this ability are not restored, but the ability can be initiated again later. The main bulk of this attack comes after painting at least one valid target (one that has taken a lot of damage). Spectrum throws his paintball gun up into the air and lets out a roar, then splits into 16 copies of himself. Time is frozen for the duration of this attack, though only those targets that are currently marked by at least one paintball can be targetted (NOTE: Targets that have taken little or no damage can still be hit if marked). Everyone on the field other than the 16 Spectrum copies can only sit back and watch (and plan for how to avoid whatever else is coming their way once the time stop ends). This means they can't counter with defensive abilities either. (EXCEPTIONS: Individual hits may be countered with abilities designed specifically for blocking that variety of attack (a flame repelant against the fire attack, e.g.), though counter-attacks are not launched until after the entire barrage ends. Healing abilities may also be used at any point during the barrage.) The Attack Itself Total damage for all attacks from all copies falls just within the range of "unimaginable," though no single target can take more than a massive amount of damage from the barrage, and no one can be outright killed by this attack unless they allow it.After all sixteen Spectrum copies do their things, they all leap back to the spot Spectrum was standing in upon splitting, merge back together, and release one massive explosion that deals damage of every type all at once. This explosion deals a high amount of damage to everyone and everything on the field except Spectrum, friend or foe, whether or not they've been marked, no matter how much damage the above barrage of attacks already dealt them. However, this still cannot kill anyone unless their user allows it to. It deals double damage to any target that is Fire-, Water-, Ice-, Electricity-, or Nature-based. It cannot be blocked, avoided, or negated through use of any defensive ability or chip, on account of the fact its types include Breaking (pierces shields/auras), Sword (pierces Shadow), Cursor (pierces most other Stealth effects), etc. Any element-blocking chip or ability, including AntiRecovery and AntiDamage, can be used in response to the explosion, but the damage will still not be negated (so it's only useful for the counterattack, where applicable). Immediately AFTER the explosion, time resumes. Due to the sheer force that goes into this attack, Spectrum not only cannot attack during his next post, he can activate no more than one defensive chip, can move no more than 10 feet (about three panels) in any direction, and cannot even log out during that one turn. However, Spectrum also gains a one-use UnderShirt effect, making him less likely to be deleted during his turn of weakness...or at all, for that matter. Spectrum's SubType is set to None the moment his explosion ends and time resumes. It cannot be changed for three turns after the attack ends. Edited by Hiro_Tsukasa, Sep 25 2009, 12:41 AM.
