Author's note: Before anyone asks, I will say this. I was bored. - Hinata "Otoha" Kagura P.S. Before some retard asks, the answer is magically induced parthenogenesis. Look up the word, you'll learn something new. Aisia felt terrible that fateful morning. No, wait. Terrible wasn't even close to it. Ever have one of those days when you wake up with a pounding headache and feel like vomiting all over the place? It usually happens right after a hard night of drinking cases of beer or shot after shot of hard liquor to drown out the pain and worry of being alone at night while your significant other is out there, fighting Invaders on her own. ... To be fair of course, only the significant other part was true in Aisia's case. The eternally young magus wasn't one to drink herself into a stupor. "I don't understand... why do I feel so hor--" Her words stopped as she knelt over the toilet bowl and retched. Once more, Aisia unloaded the contents of her stomach into the altar of the porcelain God that was erected in his honor in their bathroom. It didn't help that for some reason, her bounce felt terribly sensitive, and hurt even through her nightshirt as she leaned her chest against the bowl. "Are you all right, Aisia? I think you should see a doctor," a girl standing against the doorframe said. That girl was Aisia's significant other, Ayane Isuzu. And yes, she was out all night fighting Invaders as a Gatekeeper. "Ugh... you think so?" the smaller girl groaned. "I feel unusually warm and my breasts hurt. For the past few days or so I've been always needing to go to the bathroom. It's difficult to do that, especially at work..." "... I think you should call in sick too," Ayane added. "This is the third time this week, and I'm worried." "Well, I'm not feeling... that bad," Aisia tried to reassure her girlfriend as she finally managed to stand up and flush the toilet. "The hell you're not. At least get someone to go with you. Why not ask Rozanny or Elza? I don't think they'd mind helping out a neighbor," Ayane said. "I'm really worried, Aisia." "But I haaaate doctors~" Aisia sighed as she leaned against her beloved and tried to look at her with her usual puppy-dog eyes. It was a skill that she honed for the past six years that they've been together to somewhat coerce Ayane to listen to her. It wouldn't work this time as Ayane kissed her forehead. "Nice try. I'm calling the hospital so you can make an appointment." "Tch. I must be out of my game if you're not even fazed by my dazzling cuteness," the smaller girl retorted. Ayane merely chuckled and patted the smaller girl's head. It took some getting used to actually, watching yourself grow taller than your girlfriend of six years who was in reality older than you by two. By the time they had graduated from High School and moved in together in a humble apartment complex, Ayane Isuzu already surpassed Aisia's height by about a foot. Meanwhile, Aisia stayed the same physically, cursed to stay eternally young because of her wish back in her home dimension. Potentially, that meant that Ayane would age just like everyone else but Aisia would never grow old. And if they had children, they would age past her as well. Ayane shook her head at the thought. Children of their own? That was impossible in their case. They were both girls; the only way they could do that as if one of them agreed to artificial insemination or if they adopted. Since Aisia hated doctors and Ayane would rather kill herself than have some doctor fiddle with her reproductive organs and inject her with some random person's sperm, adoption was their best bet. If they ever got married, that is. Well, Ayane had something in mind for that, but right now wasn't the best time to bring that up. "Come on. I'll call the doctor for you," Ayane sighed. "And I'll also call Cafe Mahou and tell them you're calling in sick today." "All right..." Aisia sighed back. She could already tell that today was going to be a long day. "So, Aisia-san, you haven't been feeling well these past few weeks. Could you explain your symptoms?" the doctor asked as Aisia sat on the examining table. "Yes. I've been feeling nauseous in the mornings, and my breasts feel unusually tender. I've also been feeling feverish for some reason as of late," Aisia explained. The doctor blinked at that. "... Any other concerns?" "Well... I've also found myself frequenting the restroom more often." The doctor pored through her medical records and frowned after a few moments. "Aisia-san, when was your last period?" "Eh? It was..." Aisia blinked. "Come to think of it... I haven't had it in a month. It's been... kind of late." The doctor now sighed and asked another question. "Have you had any relations with any men before that?" "Wh-Why are you asking me that!?" Aisia groaned. "Because I'm your doctor. It's a valid question, and it will remain confidential. Well?" "No! I've only been with my girlfriend!" The doctor frowned. "Are you... sure about that? That it was just with her?" "Yes, quite sure! Why would I be with anyone else?!" Aisia's doctor pondered on that for a moment and sighed. "Then... this is impossible, and I have a bad feeling about it. I'm going to need to have your blood and urine tested. In the meantime..." the doctor quickly scribbled an item onto a piece of paper and handed it to Aisia. The girl frowned and read it, then her eyes went wide with shock. "You're saying I should buy a WHAT!?" The doctor sighed and folded his hands together while leaning his chin on them. "Aisia-san, these are classic symptoms. These things naturally occur by the fourth week or so, which is why I asked about your sexual activity. But if you're certain that you've only been with your girlfriend, then... these symptoms are completely impossible in your case. Still, all avenues should be checked out. You need to fast for twenty-four hours and come back tomorrow to get your blood drawn and your urine sampled for lab analysis. There might be something else, and I believe you when you say you've only been with your girlfriend. But if it returns positive..." Aisia blinked. "That... can't be right... can it?" That night, Aisia dropped the colored strip on the tiles of their bathroom. She sank to the floor and gasped as she stared at the item as it seemed to glare back at her in contrast to the white porcelain surrounding it. "... I haven't been doing it wrong, have I? This test... is a mistake... right?" she mumbled to herself just as Ayane ran to bathroom to check on the noise. "Hey! What's... wrong?" Ayane blinked at her girlfriend for a few moments before looking at the colored stick that was on the floor. The stick? It was a home pregnancy test. And it tested positive. "Aisia... this is..." Now, Ayane already knew about the details earlier when Aisia came home and had just laughed at the thought. There was simply no way two girls could do that... right? Aisia just stared at it. "How... did that happen?" Ayane blinked for a moment then gritted her teeth. "That's... what I'd like to know..." she breathed. |

!fact #70 We have people running around with the ability to set fire to things with their minds. To fly. To move faster than the speed of light. What's there a little magic can't accomplish? In any event, good chapter in this Gaiden. Looking forward to the next. I wonder if Ayane will go around 'interrogating' all the guys she knows.

Well, here's the second part. I'm kind of hoping I got Nickle right in this one. XD "Isuzu-sama, there's a fight going on in sector B-13," Sakarako said as something blinked on her V-piece. Ayane Isuzu would also have the same blinking light appear on her V-piece, but she wasn't paying attention to it. In fact, she wasn't really paying attention period. Not since yesterday upon finding out from the lab results that Aisia really was pregnant.
"-suzu-san! The fight is getting out of control!" Sakarako gasped. "Ah! Sorry! I was..." Ayane bit her lower lip and sighed. Now wasn't the time to ponder on such things. She was at work, and work came first. "Let's go." "Break it up, you two," Ayane Isuzu sighed when she finally got to the scene of the fight. It was apparently an altercation between two men who seemed to be fighting over a girl for some reason, and a fairly rowdy crowd formed in the time it took for her to take action. "I don't know what your problems are, but I don't want to see any kind of brawl going on in the Arcade. If you really want to fight, then take it someplace where nobody can see it. You're just disturbing the other customers." "Shut up!" One of the men growled. "This is something that can only be understood between men!" "I couldn't care less what men think. Now knock it off or I will be forced to kick you two out of the arcade!" Ayane retorted back. "Hah! You're just mad that she ended up sleeping with me instead of with you!" the other man taunted. "It's not my fault she went to me instead!" "You bastard!" Ayane froze for a moment at those words. Then she gritted her teeth in anger. Aisia. She slept with someone else. That was the only way she could be pregnant. "GAAAAAAAAT--" But before she could do anything, the two men slumped to the ground unconscious as if stunned by something. "Whoops. Sorry, but it looks like you guys need some sleep." The one responsible for them lying on the floor stood before the crowd and grinned at Ayane. "Sorry about that, but it looked like you needed some help, Ayane," he said with a grin. Ayane blinked and stared awkwardly at the man who just defused the situation. "Nickle." Nickle winked at Ayane once and then addressed the crowd. "All right, show's over. Everyone, we apologize for the inconvenience. Sakarako, please get Aya and Chio to take these two outside. I have some business to attend to." Then he turned to his Assistant Manager. "Well... looks like I came just in time. Do you have a minute?" Ayane bit her lip and sighed. "All right," she said as she steeled herself for the worst. "Here." Ayane gingerly took the can of green tea from Nickle as the pair stood outside in a nearby alley at the back of the arcade. "Th-thank you." She took the time to sip it before finally speaking. "Um... I'm sorry about that. If you're going to fire me, that's-" "Fire you? Ayane, you've been a great asset to this establishment for the past six years. I hardly see it as a good idea to fire you over one altercation where you seemed prime to destroy two customers and possibly part of the arcade," Nickle chuckled. "Please, Nickle. If you're going to fire me, do so! I don't want any games!" Ayane spat as she closed her eyes. "Uwah. Looks like this is more serious than I thought," Nickle said as he took another swig of his tea. "Something's bothering you, isn't it." Ayane's eyes shot open as she stared at Nickle from that statement, but the Abenobashi Arcade owner wasn't angry. He was genuinely concerned. She exhaled a bit, her lips shivering uneasily even though it was the start of Summer. "Ne, Nickle," she began, "You're... married, right?" "I am." Nickle could probably guess what this was about. "If you don't mind me asking... have you ever... doubted your wife?" ... Okay, maybe not that. "Whoa, did something happen to you and Aisia?" "Please. Have you?" Nickle sighed and looked up at the sky for a moment to give himself time to think. "To be honest? Not really. If Celestial hid something from me, I trusted her enough to tell me when she was ready. I know she has her reasons for not telling me when she doesn't. Of course, it kind of worries me, but I trust her regardless. That's what two people who love each other do." With that, he took another sip of his tea. "Aisia's pregnant." Ayane simply said. ... Nickle very quickly got spit out his tea on the floor at that. "WHAT!? You're joking right!?" "I don't joke about things like this!" Ayane angrily said. "Sorry! It's just... well... I didn't expect that you two would..." Nickle frowned at that and realized the implications of that fact. "Ayane. Does she..." "She doesn't know how! She swears she's never been with anyone else but me! That's why it hurts! Why won't she tell me!?" she practically screamed. "Why!? Why won't she tell me who..." She then sank to the ground and started crying, prompting Nickle to kneel down and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, calm down..." "Why?..." Nickle sighed. "Well... I don't see why she'd lie to you about something like that. I mean, she doesn't seem like that kind of person who would keep such a secret from you. Maybe it's true that she doesn't know at all." "Then HOW, Nickle!? How could she have gotten pregnant!? I want to believe that she doesn't know, I really do!" "I don't know, Ayane. I really don't know. Unless you want to assume the worst, but..." As soon as he said that, it suddenly hit her. What if... She was suddenly no longer angry at the idea that Aisia might have cheated on her. She was now angry at the possibility that she was, whether without her knowledge or coerced not to tell, being... She slowly stood up and started running out of the alley. "Ayane! Where are you going!?" Nickle called out as he got in her way. "Move, Nickle! I'm going to find the bastards who did this to her! I'm going to Cafe Mahou and finding Saito! I think he might know something about this!" "Calm down, Ayane! We don't even know what really happened!" "THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!?" Ayane screamed at Nickle. "AM I SUPPOSED TO JUST WAIT FOR AISIA TO TELL ME IF SHE'S BEING... BEING...!" SLAP. Ayane fell into some nearby boxes from the blow of Nickle's heavy hand. "And what would happen if you did!? You don't have any proof! And what would she say about that!? Think about that for a second!" Nickle yelled back. "It might only just hurt her more!" Ayane angrily picked herself back up, but she didn't try to fight Nickle. As much as she hated to say it... he was right. What would her running into Cafe Mahou with guns blazing do? Appease her own anger and sense of justice for having wronged Aisia? For having betrayed her? Instead, she angrily punched the wall once. Her agonized yell echoed through the alley only to be lost in the sounds of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Hyakuji. Edited by Pikachu_Fragger, Mar 7 2009, 11:47 AM.

Oh yeah, I should also thank Ayane Isuzu for proofreading this for me. And everyone, I apologize for not posting, Shin Megami Tensei has sucked my soul. >_> At that same time, Saito Hiraga sneezed as he entered the room. "Oh crap... I didn't wake her up, did I?" he said in a panic as he turned to see the sleeping blonde on the bench. Thankfully, she was still asleep, apparently unfazed by Saito's nasal outburst. As to why Aisia Asakura was asleep in the back room of Cafe Mahou, the answer was simple; the poor girl tired herself out again, and he was tasked to watch over her for now. She was serving customers in her usual manner, except she seemed a tad bit slower than she normally was... and then she collapsed.
"Shhhh! You'll wake her up!" Elza Lanster quietly admonished Saito when he tried to cover up his sneeze. "Sorry!" he apolgized as he took a seat next to Aisia. "Is she still..." "Yeah. Did you call the hospital?" "Yeah. They should be here in a few minutes." He sighed and looked at Aisia, who was covered with a blanket and had a wet towel on her forehead. "Dammit, she's been sickly these past few days. I told her to stay home, but she said we were short on staff and that we needed someone to help out regardless." "I see... I guess she hasn't changed much since I went home," Elza chuckled. Suddenly, the little woman started to stir in her sleep, moaning as if in pain. Her eyes slowly fluttered open before she shot up in bed, her face contorting itself in a mixture of fear and confusion. "No... where am I!?" Aisia gasped as she stared at Saito then Elza. Then her hands slowly travelled to her stomach... No. Her hands came to rest right at the spot where her womb would be. "My baby... where is she?" she slowly asked. Now it was Saito's turn to blink in confusion. "Eh?" "My baby... someone took her away from me..." "Wh-what are you talking about, Aisia? You're scaring me," Elza gasped. "I saw them... someone came and took her away, saying that she didn't belong to me... Saito, where did they take her!?" Aisia gasped, her voice rising in volume along with her hysterics. "Calm down, Aisia! Nobody came! You just fell to the floor and-" "SAITO! SOMEONE TOOK MY BABY! IF I DON'T FIND HER, AYANE WILL BE ANGRY! PLEASE! HELP ME FIN-" SLAP. Before Saito could move to do so, Elza slapped Aisia for him. She then knelt down and stared Aisia in the eyes. "Aisia! You passed out! That was all!" The memories slowly returned to Aisia's mind. Elza came by that day. She was feeling rather tired, but she was still well enough to serve the blonde, not that she wasn't going to anyway. They made a bit of small talk while she filled out Elza's order. The last words she heard were, "So how are you and Ayane? I'm surprised you two haven't decided to get married yet." Ayane's behavior this morning weighed heavily in her mind. She knew Ayane was angry. After all, if Aisia was pregnant, that meant that she had somehow gotten the baby from a man. From someone else. Not Ayane. This unspoken but significant fact implied that Aisia had somehow betrayed her lover. But even more painful was not the fact that Ayane got angry and yelled at her. Far from it; she would have preferred that over her current stance. Outright avoidance. Ayane wanted to have nothing to do with her right now, and it scared her witless. She would be alone again. Utterly alone. If only for the next eight or so remaining months, but alone nonetheless, and that scared her more than anything else. And when Elza posed the question and unwittlingly forced her to face it, she couldn't. "What should I do, Elza?..." Aisia started to weep. "At this rate... she'll leave me... and I'll be alone again!" she cried as she gripped to Elza's shoulders. "I don't want to be alone!" "Why would... Aisia, please, explain," Elza calmly asked. It was a fairly drastic change from the easily flustered girl that they knew in high school. Then again, six years is a long time to change. The ambulance came and left after Aisia reassured them that she was fine. After that, she told the pair about her situation. "Surely there must be a mistake!" Elza gasped. Aisia explained everything to her and Saito: that she was somehow pregnant, and that Ayane was definitely angry at her for it because it meant that she had been with another man. And yet, as strange as it sounds and as hard as it was to believe, Aisia swore that she never knowingly slept with another man. "Pregnancy tests aren't perfect, after all. At least, as far as I know." "... How would you know that, Elza?" Saito had to ask. "W-what's that supposed to mean!? It's not like I've had to use one!" she retorted. "That's a moot point right now. The lab results have also tested positive. I'm definitely... pregnant somehow," Aisia sighed. "But if you didn't knowingly sleep with a man... then..." Saito tried to suggest, but it was effectively cut off by an angry stare from Elza. After all, if being left alone by Ayane was bad enough to stress the already fragile Aisia, then the suggestion that she was somehow either raped or artificially inseminated in her sleep might break her. "A-anyway, what are you... going to do with the baby?" Elza asked. It was definitely a hard question to ask. "Isn't it obvious? I'm keeping her," Aisia sighed. "I'm not going to abort her." "You seem sure that it's a her," Saito said. "Call it a hunch." Elza smiled at that. At the very least, she still seemed to have a sense of humor about it, however sardonic it was. "But what about Ayane..." "I... I don't know. I'll... I guess I have to brace myself for the worst. I don't blame her for it." "Screw that! I'll talk some sense into her!" Saito said as he stood up. "Someone has to knock some sense into that girl, and I think I'm pretty good at-" "NO!" Aisia said as she grabbed Saito's coat. "Please... don't. Knowing her, you're the last person who should tell her what to do." "But someone has to!" Saito said. "That idiot! And after all the trouble we went through to-" He suddenly stopped himself for a moment before realizing that he almost said more than he should have and cleared his throat. "... Anyway, if that's what you want, I won't interfere." "Thank you, Saito," Aisia sighed. Elza raised her hand a bit. "I'll come with you on the way home. I'd like to talk to her as well, anyway. I don't like seeing you guys like this." "I'm telling you, please... don't," Aisia sighed. "It might only make things worse if anyone else got involved." "But we're your friends! We can't help but get involved!" Elza retorted. "That's just it, Elza. You're our friends. But the issue at hand is between... lovers. I... I really hate saying this, but... this isn't something you should get involved in." "Aisia!..." Elza protested, but Aisia turned and smiled at her. It was a tired and weak smile, but she tried her best to smile anyway. "I'm sure it'll be okay, Elza. We'll work this out somehow." She slowly stood up and stretched herself out. "Uwwwaah! I guess Saito's right though. I've been tired, and with the baby coming along, I guess that's to be expected. I'll go home early today after all," she said a bit more cheerfully this time. "Sorry, Saito. Please tell Tsukasa-sensei about my situation... minus the pregnancy anyway. I think collapsing would cover it." "Aisia..." he began to say, but Elza shook her head. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. I can teleport, remember? I think I can teleport myself back to the apartment and crash into bed for some rest, right? Anyway... later..." she said as she ran towards the door, prompting Saito to get up. This time, Elza grabbed him and shook her head. "...I think she needs some time to herself." Elza was right. As soon as Aisia closed the back door of the cafe behind her and ran a few blocks down, she leaned against a lone lightpost for support. Soon enough, the tears came, and she started crying again. "Ayane... what am I going to do?..." Nobody was around, oddly enough. She was the only girl in there, illuminated by the damning light of the lightpost for all to see, but nobody was there to hear her sobs. For the first time in a long time, she felt truly and utterly alone, and nobody comforted her as she sobbed into the ground. |

"They're totally not okay right now..." Saito sighed as he took a frustrated gulp of his soda and tossed it into the nearby recycled garbage bin. "Aisia hasn't been her normally happy self lately! Even the regulars are wondering why she's not as fast as she usually is, and she's been spacing out like she's deep in thought! I just know things haven't patched up between the two!" "Cor blimey... that is rather troubling," Selene replied as she bit into some of her crepe. The pair was more or less meeting at Izanai Park that day because Saito was genuinely worried for the two lovers and didn't know what to do. Being a male himself, he couldn't understand what was going on between the pair of girls and decided to ask for some feminine input on the matter. "And after all that trouble Ayane and I went through to find it..." he mumbled. "Find what, Saito-san?" Selene asked, but Saito more or less ignored the question. "Anyway, what should we do? I can't just stand here and watch them do this to each other!" Selene sighed. "I can understand how you feel, but... to be honest, I don't even know where to begin either. It's not like we can just barge into someone else's affairs like that." "But!..." Saito protested, but Selene raised a hand so that she could continue. "It's a sensitive matter. You can't just barge into another family's house and tell them how to raise their kids for example." "It still just doesn't feel right to stand around and do nothing!" Saito growled. "I mean, what the hell is that guy doing!?" "... You're still calling her that?" Selene sighed. "Well, if you can get away with calling her that, I guess she really does mean something to you as a friend." "Damn right." Saito then exhaled deeply and stood up. "Well, I just wish she'd talk to us about it at least." "That's probably not something she can easily tell anyone either. I mean, how can you tell someone, even if that person is a friend, that your girlfriend might have been cheating on you, or worse, raped? It took a long time for Hotaru-san and Hinata-san to tell us their real names simply because it was complicated." "YOU RANG?" The deep voice behind them (which sounded oddly enough like Lurch from the Addams Family) surprised the pair, and it made Selene almost drop her crepe. "H-Hinata-san!?" the heiress gasped at the empty space behind them. "In the flesh, baby!" the Stand chuckled, this time in her best Cole Train voice before slowly revealing herself to Saito and Selene. She was... also wearing COG body armor for some reason. "Hinata!" Saito gasped. "What are you doing here!?" "How rude! I just came by to visit!" she pouted momentarily before grining at the pair. "Well, we just came by to visit." "But where's Hotaru-san?" Selene asked before a familiar voice called out to them. "Onee-chan! What the heck are you doing!?" Hotaru Kagura groaned as she ran towards them. "... Oh, right, I forgot that you've managed to become strong enough to go much farther than three meters," Saito chuckled. And right on cue, Hotaru tripped and fell face first into the ground before them. "... Yare yare," Hinata sighed as she facepalmed at that. "Are you all right? And where's Hajime?" Saito asked as he helped Hotaru to her feet. "Oh, thank you... and he's fine. He went to visit Hongo-sensei," the blonde said. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeee, I feel so jealous!" Hinata squealed. "Oh well, we can all catch up later I guess. So we were kind of passing by when I heard your voices from afar and then I heard Selene-chan mention us. What's up?" When Saito and Selene looked away with sad faces, the Stand was now concerned. "Whoa. This sounds kinda serious. If you don't mind, you wanna fill us in on the details? Maybe we can help?..." "Holy crap, this is just like Vandread!" Hinata gasped. "Either that or Aisia-chan's the next Virgin Mary!" "Please, be more serious about this!" Hotaru sighed. "We're not referencing some anime here or committing blasphemy on an entire religion! There's no way that can happen!" "Well, joking aside... isn't this something the two should settle on their own?" Hinata said. "For all intents and purposes, we're outsiders. What they do behind closed doors is their business, not ours." "Says the one who tried to peek in every time they... they..." Hotaru tried to say, but she blushed hotly at that and just sighed. "A-anyway, I do agree that them not talking to each other isn't good..." "But it's such a sensitive topic," Selene sighed. "I don't want to say that one of them is hiding something about this, but that talking about it would spark a fight that would tear them apart..." "If you hide your true feelings, then you'll never find true happiness. If they fought, that would mean they're not hiding their true feelings for each other, right?" Hinata asked. All three turned to Hinata at those words. "Are you suggesting that they should end up fighting each other over this?" Saito asked. "Hardly. But... I wonder if you have to hide your true feelings from the people you love. Whether those people are friends, family... or even lovers. Ayane-chan could have simply spoken her feelings. Right?" They all pondered on that for a moment before Saito finally spoke. "You know, sometimes, you can say the most simple yet profound things about something that we sometimes miss. It's... amazing. You're right about that. Ayane loves her! They SHOULD talk! And as a friend, I want to convey that to her!" "But you can't just outright tell her. Onee-chan's right, but she can get away with saying that because she's a spirit who lacks tact," Hotaru said. "See? Case in point. I love my sister and she loves me, but she's not afraid to tell me when I'm trolling too hard," Hinata chuckled. "Sometimes, a good hit on the noggin does the trick." Saito's eyes widened at that. "Of course! Why didn't I think of it sooner!" "Oi, oi, I didn't say you should go and hit the girl!" Hinata admonished Saito. "No, not that! You're right, it's not good to hide your feelings for someone. But sometimes, the trick is getting the message across effectively," he said. "And how do you suppose we accomplish that?" Selene asked. "Simple." "... You want to do WHAT?" Ayane growled at Saito. "Yes! A Gundam Battle!" Saito challenged her. The entire group was now in front of the Abenobashi Arcade, and Saito was challenging Ayane to a Gundam battle on the VR pods. "... I didn't think you'd do THIS, Saito-san," Selene sighed. "Besides, have you forgotten? We're Strike Rangers! Gundams are our specialty for all intents and purposes! You won't win so easily!" "I don't care. I like those odds," Saito said. "Oooh! As expected of Saito-kun!" Hinata cheered. Ayane however sighed and turned away. "Saito, I have work. I don't have time to go dicking around in a VR pod over something as trivial or as old as a Gundam Battle. We stopped doing that ages ago, remember?" "Pssh. Pussyyyyyy~" Hinata heckled, but that quickly earned her a harisen to the face and caused her to shut up. "Well, how about this. Let's make a bet to liven things up a little," Saito challenged. "Moron, gambling is illegal in this establishment. I've got better things to do, so if you'll excuse me..." Ayane sighed as she began to walk inside. "If you win, I'll be your slave for life." Selene blinked at that. "What!? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever hea-" But Ayane stopped in her tracks at that. Despite the two of them being friends of a sort, they shared some kind of love-hate relationship that fluctuated between partners who would watch each other's backs to enemies that absolutely hated each other's guts. For Ayane, being given the opportunity to take Saito as a slave or servant of some sort wasn't something she'd pass up, even in her perturbed state. "... and?" Ayane asked. "What do you mean 'and'?" Saito asked back. "Idiot, you don't just give a bet like that and expect me not to know what I'm betting if you win, do you!?" "Oh! Well, if I win, then... you'll have to tell me what's really going on with you and Aisia." This time, Ayane was not amused. "What... What the hell do you mean by that!?" she yelled, spinning in place to face him as she did. "I've heard rumors about what's been going on between you two, Ayane. I don't like seeing you two like that, and I've seen how it's affecting Aisia at work," Saito sighed. "Come on, I know you're not going to pass this up! You know I'm a Familiar of some sort! If you win, then you can initiate a contract with me!" Ayane grit her teeth at that thought. Truth be told, it was tempting. And they both fought battles against and with each other so many times, not to mention that Ayane was more than competitive with regards to this. To be offered a contract with a powerful Familiar was certainly very tempting. "...Well?" Saito asked, but Hotaru tapped his shoulder. "Are you sure about this!? I know you're a human Familiar, and I know a thing or two about contracts! This isn't a laughing matter! If she wins..." "Well, I've kicked her ass before, I don't see why I can't do it again." If Ayane didn't take that into consideration before, she certainly did now. "... Name your mobile suit, Saito," Ayane simply asked. |

"Whoa, another match with the Assistant Manager?" a bystander gasped as the VR pods opened and its two combatants strapped themselves in. "Whoever that is, they don't stand a chance!" "Hey, did you forget? He's that Exia pilot!" his companion said. "He's one of the few people who could best her in battle! But I never thought I'd see the day when these two would fight again!" Meanwhile, the girls more or less sighed (except Hinata, who was busy booking bets in front of the VR pods) at this turn of events. "Do you honestly think that this'll solve things somehow?" Hotaru sighed. "Well, I don't know about you two, but I think Saito makes a good point," Hinata chuckled. "This was probably what he meant when he said that sometimes, the trick is getting your feelings across effectively. For these two, I think the best way they do that is by fighting each other in a mock mobile suit battle. Aha, I hear a hundred on Saito back there!" Hinata chuckled. Selene frowned at that. "What about just talking? Whatever happened to that?" "Tsk tsk tsk. Selene-chan, this is a man's romance! Men's feelings shine brightest while on the battlefield!" "Idiot, I can still hear you!" Ayane growled as the VR pods slowly closed. "And stop placing bets or I'll have to ask Sakarako to have you kicked out!" "Eeep! All right, I'll be good," Hinata chuckled, elliciting a few "Awwws" and "Boos" from prospective betters. "Saito-san, please do your best!" Hotaru said as Saito strapped himself in as well. He gave a thumbs up at the trio before his own VR pod closed shut. "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to this special Gundam Battle here at Abenobashi Arcade!" Aya announced over the loudspeaker for all to hear. "We have in the blue corner, our very own assistant manager and top Gundam player Ayane Isuzu, while on the red corner, we have another top Gundam player, Saito Hiraga! Now to see what suits they plan to choose..." The crowd went silent as they made the two combatants made their choices. After a few moments, their mobile suits showed up on screen. "Ah! Hiraga-san's using his own custom Rollout Colors Blademaster Exia! A fine machine, if I do say so myself! Armed to the teeth with no less than eight blades and beam sabers, this model truly defines 'Unlimited Blade Works'! And he's well known for his vicious close-range fighting style, so this suit truly suits him well!" Selene nodded. "As expected of Saito-san. If he was female, he might have very well have been a good Sword Strike," she chuckled. "Why couldn't males use it again?" Hotaru asked. "Have you SEEN how the crotch armor slams into place?" Selene said. "It's attatched to the skirt, but still, I don't think having them wear it would be comfortable!" Suddenly, Ayane's MS showed up on screen. "Ah! This is completely unexpected! Instead of her usual Launcher Strike, Freedom, Powered GM or Blue Destiny choices, she has chosen one of the top-tier suits!" Aya announced. "It's the 00 Raiser Gundam! While it doesn't have as many blades as that of Saito's Exia, it more than makes up for it with speed and sheer power! And its final attack with its GN Blade III is a marvel to behold!" "Cor blimey! She's serious about this!" Selene gasped. "I've seen her use it before!" "Eh? What's so special about her Gundam?" Hotaru asked. "Did you NOT watch Gundam 00 with me that time!?" Hinata gasped. "Its signature attacks include enhanced Trans-AM and its dreaded GN Blade III! Double Zeta Gundam would crap its figurative pants if it saw what it could do!" Inside the VR pods, however, communications were limited to between the two of them, and only that. The outside world meant nothing to them as their surroundings changed into that of their respective MS Cockpits and that of a lonely stretch of space with the Earth and the Moon as its backdrop. "Saito, just so you know, I'm in no mood to dick around. I won't make this stretch too long," Ayane coldly said over the communications device. "I know," Saito replied. "I just want things to end quickly too. I don't like seeing things like this between you two girls!" "... Tell me, Saito. Why do you care?" she asked. "Why, you ask? Can't a friend want to see his friends happy together?" he asked back. "Happy together..." Ayane sighed as both of their instrument panels flared to life. "HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT AS IF IT WERE SO SIMPLE!" "I don't know how complicated it really is, but at least talk to her!" Saito yelled back. The chirp of the VR pod's onboard announcer resounded between them. "Gundam Battle Start! Ready... GO!" With that, both MSes blasted off from opposite sides of the map towards the center. For a while, anyway. "What is this! Ayane's MS has stopped shortly after launch!" Aya gasped. "Saito's MS is not backing down! In fact..." Saito grinned and pressed the button on his cockpit. "Let's go! Trans-AM!" As soon as he did that, his suit suddenly turned red and blasted towards 00 Raiser at three times its normal speed! Outside, spectators watched with a bit of disappointment as the battle seemed to end long before it even started. "What is this!? Why isn't she attacking!" However, the one (mostly dead) person knew what Ayane was really doing. "Oh no. No, no, no! This is bad!" Hinata gasped. "Why isn't Isuzu-san attacking?" Hotaru asked. "Simple. She's trying to use up as little power as possible so that she can dedicate all of her power into a single decisive attack. Whatever happens, this fight really is going to be short!" Hinata gasped. Sure enough, Saito's use of Trans-AM quickly covered the distance between them and he quickly unsheathed his GN Katana! "What are you doing, Ayane!? This isn't like you at all!" he yelled as he brought his sword to bear on the "stranded" 00 Raiser. Ayane quickly parried that attack with one of her GN Sword IIs. She couldn't afford to use the Sword III just yet. "Shut up! I didn't ask you to help! Nobody can help with this sort of thing!" she retorted as she went on the defensive with her swords. "The hell are you talking about!? Aisia's crying!" Saito continued to rant as he viciously swung his katana down once more with his right hand while his "wing" ejected the GN Long Blade for him to grab with his left. "... Aisia is!?" she gasped. That hesitation was enough for him to knock her left arm away so he could slash at her with his Long Blade! Ayane quickly dashed away, but not before it sliced at her Gundam's knee and severed its lower leg from the rest of her body. "Dammit!" she groaned as she boosted away. She didn't like to do this, but this was the only way she could conserve enough power before unleashing her final attack as the system readout showed her Raiser System to be at 75% percent complete. "So you DO still care about her!" Saito yelled as he threw the long blade at her and tossed the Katana to his left to deploy his GN Sword on his right. "Why aren't you two talking to each other about it!?" "SHUT UP! YOU COULDN'T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND!" she yelled back as she slashed at the Long Blade to parry it. But it was a half-hearted effort as Saito quickly dashed his Exia behind her to slash her from behind with both swords! "If I win, then you have to explain EVERYTHING so that I can understand!" he yelled as he brought his swords down... But Ayane knew he would do that. They've fought against each other for so long that she knew what kind of tactics he would pull, and she knew that the tossed Long Blade was simply a distraction. As she parried the blade, she spun around to prevent him from slashing at the mounted 0 Raiser behind her by raising her two GN Sword IIs to parry them! If it was destroyed, then her gambit would be pointless! That said, Exia's Trans-AM was still a force to be reckoned with. He simply locked swords with her and pushed forward with all of his might! "Why, Ayane? Why aren't you fighting!?" Saito yelled as he pushed forth. "You moron, you have no idea what I plan to do!" Ayane yelled back. "I wasn't talking about this fight! I'm talking about yours and Aisia's happiness!" he retorted. "Don't you want to see her smile again!? Even if you two fight because of it, at least you won't be hiding your feelings from each other!" With that, he gave 00 Raiser a sharp kick to the cockpit and kicked her away! He quickly did a somersault and was about to thrust his GN Sword at her helpless supine position... "I WANT TO, GODDAMMIT!" Ayane yelled back, causing Saito to stop in his tracks. "Ayane?" "I WANT us to talk about it, goddammit!" she said, her voice cracking as she was close to crying. "But she won't tell me what happened... and I don't know how else to ask her! Yes, I'm angry that she's pregnant with another man's baby! No, I don't believe that she's cheating on me! Yes, I do believe that something happened! But she won't tell me what it is!" Saito lowered his GN Blade for a moment. "Ayane..." Outside, everyone gasped at this turn of events. Even if they couldn't hear the conversation between them, they were wondering why Saito didn't press on with his attack when he could have won. "Maybe he stopped because this wasn't such a good fight anymore..." one of them commented. "After all, she's not even attacking him!" "Fool! You don't know what that MS is capable of doing!" another man growled back. "You haven't fought against her when she's using that suit. She's holding back for a good reason!" Selene nodded at that. "I don't know what's going on there, but... maybe he's getting through to her?" she wondered aloud. "Tell me, Saito!" Ayane cried. "What should I do!?" "Well... I guess if she doesn't want to talk about it... then at least tell her how you feel," Saito sheepishly said. "... Eh?" "If she won't tell you how she feels, well, there's nothing you can really do about that. But you can at least tell her how you feel, right? Maybe she's just stupid like you. Maybe... she's waiting to hear what you have to say because she's too scared of... losing you." Ayane pondered on those words for a few moments. "Is that... what she told you?" "No, it kind of just looks that way to me. Honest," he said. "I see..." BGM - 00 Gundam 00 Raiser's GN drives flared to life one last time. "If that is so... let's finish this!" Ayane challenged Saito. "I have no time to dick around here! I have more important things to do!" Her system readouts indicated that the Raiser System was at 100% charge. This it was all or nothing now as she slammed her fist on the buttons on her right console! "IKE! TRANS-AM!" she yelled as her suit glowed red! "That's what I've been waiting for, Ayane! Go, Exia!" Saito yelled back as he charged at her. "Oh shit," Hinata simply said. "Shit's going down now." "What's going on!?" Hotaru whined, since she was the only one who had no idea what was going on at all. "Simple. Ayane's going to focus all of her power in one single strike. I don't know if Saito knows this yet though... and if he doesn't..." To Saito's surprise, Ayane quickly dashed backwards, her twin drives pulsing twin GN rings as she propelled herself away from the charging Exia! Due to the twin drive system, she was quickly gaining distance over him! "Still running, Ayane!?" Saito yelled. "No. I'm just giving us both more room, that's all!" Ayane chuckled as she stopped when she was far enough. With that, she deployed and raised her GN Sword III at Saito... and opened fire! "Go! RAISER BEAM!" Sait never fought against a 00 Raiser Gundam player who used this particular attack, mostly because it was pretty much impractical to use. So his eyes grew wide when he suddenly saw a humongous purple beam blast lance towards him! Thankfully, Trans-AM was still active, so he was able to dodge the attack, if only barely, and stabbed forth with his two swords! "Gotcha!" Saito said, sure of his victory- ... when the beam suddenly swung itself across his midsection just as his swords were about to reach her suit! "WHA- You mean that's a beam-" "... SABERRRRRRR!" Only Saito's GN Sword hit its mark on the 00's head, severing it completely from the rest of its body. The GN Katana on his left was absolutely vaporized by the attack, and the rest of him followed suit. Ayane breathed heavily from within the confines of her VR pod cockpit and grinned. "I win, Saito." "What a stunning upset, ladies and gentlemen! Ayane Isuzu managed to use the 00's most powerful attack on Saito Hiraga!" Aya gasped in surprise as the game finished and the VR pods slowly opened. The audience roared with applause, though some of them were berating Saito on being too soft and not finishing her when he had the chance. "Oh man... that means Saito's going to become Isuzu-san's familiar..." Hotaru sighed as the two combatants unstrapped themselves from the VR Pods and stepped down. "Well... that was certainly unexpected. I guess you got me," Saito chuckled. "Shit, and I was thinking I could take advantage of your emotional state and just win it." "You should know me by now, Saito," Ayane chuckled. "I'm not that easy to best. Still you did have me going back there." "Indeed." Saito then turned towards Ayane and gave her his left arm, the one that had his Gandalfr runes on his hand. "A deal's a deal. I... I am your loyal familiar from this point on. You can do the contract here, if you want." Ayane slowly turned to Saito, looked at him for a second, and slowly took his arm. Well, this is it... but hey, if it makes those two happy somehow- "Keep your contract. You... don't belong to me, after all. You're someone else's familiar. If I took you like this... that would be like cheating on her, right?" Ayane chuckled. "Wha-" With that, Ayane yanked Saito with her and ran towards the door. "Aya! I want you to watch over things for a bit! I have something important I need to do!" "Wha- Isuzu-sama, what are you-" Aya protested, but it was silenced by the closing of the arcade doors and the ambient noise of the mall. "Where are we going!?" Saito gasped. "Isn't that obvious!? To Cafe Mahou! I need to see her!" Ayane yelled. "Hey, wait for us!" came a cry from behind. It was Hinata, Hotaru and Selene, and they wanted to go with her. "No way! If you want to go, run after me! I'm not stopping for anything anymore! I won't stop myself from telling her I really feel!" Ayane yelled back. She didn't stop this time. She kept running. But instead of running away... she ran forward this time. She won't run away again. "... What the hell do you mean she's not here!? She's supposed to be working today, right!?" Ayane yelled from behind the counter. "T-that's just it!" Nova Miyuki whimpered. While she had come across her share of angry, unsavory customers, she had no idea what to do regarding a legitimately angry girlfriend and her equally worried friends. "She... she..." "Okay, slow down, Nova," Saito said. "What happened? Wasn't it Aisia's shift today?" "Yes, it is, but..." she bit her lip and sighed. "I tried calling her cellphone, but she wasn't answering. I tried calling her house, but nobody answered either." Selene gasped. "What are you saying, Nova-san!?" "I-I'm just saying what I know! I tried to contact her, and contact you, Isuzu-san, but your cellphone was off too, and I didn't know how to contact your work either!" Nova panicked. "Aisia-san just..." "Just what!?" Ayane asked, her heart growing even more hysterical by the moment. "... She just didn't show up..." Nova whimpered. |

WELL, NOW THAT THE SITE IS BACK UP AGAIN, I SHALL POST THE REST OF IT. Also, it kind of no longer applies since I know where they'll probably go after this (and most especially HOW Aisia gets pregnant anyway), but I should finish what I start. Aisia was sitting on a bench in Izanai Park that day. She didn't bother calling in sick to work, either; she was just too disoriented and depressed to even care. She just wanted to be alone with her thoughts. She wanted to talk to Ayane, but it was plainly obvious to her that she didn't want to deal with it. The topic was avoided for days now, yet when they were at home together at night, the tension in the air when they were in the same room together was taut like a razor-sharp wire. It always threatened to snap at some point over the slightest word, but even more painful to her was the sound of silence that always loomed that the snapping would have come as a sweet release from their torture. And yet... she feared that the floodgates that would open as a result could never be closed. It was that fear that kept them locked in such painful silence all this time. What am I going to do? What SHOULD I do? She gingerly ran her hand across her belly where the baby was slowly growing. ... You. There was a brief flash of rage as she clenched her fists, and almost made to pound herself with it. Why did you show up? Who is the damn father of yours that put us... put ME under such needless suffering!? I never... I never asked you to come into my life! She wanted to tear into herself and yank it out. It felt like a cancer that was festering within her, siphoning away the happiness that she and Ayane shared. If the baby was gone... If the baby was gone... then Ayane wouldn't need to worry anymore! IF YOU WERE- But then Aisia suddenly slapped herself. Dammit, what is wrong with me!? I should know better than that! Aisia buried her head in her hands and started to cry. "What should I do!?" she whimpered to herself as she continued to weep. "Onee-chan, is something wrong?" Aisia blinked at the voice. She managed to stop crying long enough to realize who was speaking to her; it was a young raven-haired girl with twintails who couldn't be older than ten. With a bit of embarassment, Aisia wiped away her tears and chuckled at the girl. "Yeah, you could say that. Onee-chan here has a problem with a... well, a baby." "Ehhhh... a baby?" "Mhmm. It's not the baby's fault, really, but..." Aisia sighed and facepalmed. Great, now I'm talking to a ten-year old about my problems? Just how far have I hit rock bottom at this point? "It's complicated, and it's not something you can easily understand." "Is that so, onee-chan?" the little girl said as she took a seat next to her. Aisia didn't want to be rude to the kid, but she also didn't think that a young girl talking to a complete stranger was a completely good idea either. "Where's your mother, little girl? It's not a good idea to talk to strangers, you know." "Over there," she said, pointing to a mother who was taking care of a baby in her arms. "She's taking care of my baby brother." "I... I see..." Aisia said. What else was there to say to that, after all? "Nee, onee-chan, can I tell you something?" the girl said. "Hmmm?" "I don't like my little brother." Aisia had to resist the urge to yell at the girl for being a horrible child for even so much as saying that, but it wasn't her place to say such things. "W-why is that?" "Because! He's taking away mama's love from me!" she pouted. "When he was born, mama always looked after him and stopped loving me! I hate it." She sighed. "Why are you telling me this?" "Because we're comrades. I heard you earlier. I can read minds, you know~" the precocious little kid said. "I heard you earlier saying something about wishing that a baby was gone because it made you sad." Aisia really had to stop from wanting to get angry at the kid at this point. "You know, it's not nice to peek into someone's mind like that." "I'm sorry. I can't control it sometimes. I just heard you, that's all. And I thought, 'This onee-chan is like me...'" "Is that so... then, I'm sorry too. I shouldn't get angry at you for something you heard by accident," Aisia sighed. "Does your mother know you can do that?" "Mmhmm! Mama said that I should go to Hyakuji Middle School when I get the chance. I can learn how to read minds better there or something." "Err... I think the issue here is control," Aisia sheepishly said. "Anyway... as much as I'm touched to know that I have an ally, it's not a good thing to wish for someone from your family to go away. They're family, after all." "But my little brother is just taking mama away from me!" the girl pouted. Aisia shook her head. "No, he isn't. If he is, he probably doesn't know it. He's just a baby. It's... not his fault." She paused for a moment before continuing, "Also, I'm sure that if you listened hard enough, that baby probably also wants to love you and your mama back. He just can't because he's too young." "But I didn't ask for a little brother..." the girl whined. "I know... I didn't ask for the baby I'm having either... but, he's still a new life that's being brought into this world. Another person to love, and another person who will love you because you're family." ... That's right. This child that I carry... he's still my child, regardless of who the father is. Even if this child represents the love that was taken away from me... Aisia hugged her own belly for a brief moment, as if to apologize to her baby. I'm sure... even Ayane will understand that this child, regardless of circumstance, is still my child. I love her simply because I can't help it. Just as I can't help loving her... "I'm sure... your mother still loves you, and she wants to share that love with your brother too. She doesn't love you any less! I'm sure of it." "Really? How can you be so sure?" the little girl asked. "Because... I'm just like her. And you remind me of someone important to me. You're just like her... angry that someone else has taken love from you. And like your mother, I have to tell her what I really feel. Even if it hurts me... even if it makes me cry." "I don't understand~" the girl said. "But... I think you're right." "Momo-chan! Come here! Your brother wants to see you," the girl's mother called to the girl. Aisia smiled. "Go on. Thank you, Momo-chan." "Okay. Thank you, and... I'm sorry, onee-chan," the girl called Momo chuckled as she leapt off the bench and stuck her tongue out playfully at Aisia. "Yes, mama!" she replied to her mother's call as she ran to her. With newfound resolve, Aisia stood up to leave and see Ayane... And that's when all hell broke loose. Explosions rang out from nearby areas of the park as a monster emerged from the trees - a green and purple lizard with a chainsaw on its right arm. It was escorted by a group of three men clad in black skinsuits and a grasshopper helmet of some sort, similar to the one that Hongo wore. In fact, she knew exactly what they were. "Shocker Riders!" Aisia gasped as she stood up. The girl who ran to her mother fell down on the ground from the explosion and started crying, and the mother suddenly ran up to protect her. "Heh... women? Well, we can't be picky. We need more test subjects anyway," one of the Shocker Riders, their leader apparently, said as he marched towards them. "Maybe they'll prove to be more successful than that failure Tackle." "No! Leave my children alone!" the mother cried even as the leader came to apprehend her. "Mama! Don't take Mama and my little brother away!" Momo cried and stood in front of her mother to protect her and the baby that she held. "Tch. We'll take whatever we want, little girl! And we'll start with that little brother of yours!" the Rider growled as he slapped Momo aside and went for the baby in the mother's arms... "NO!" Suddenly, minature beam shots hit the Rider, causing him to jolt back in alarm. It came from a small, plane thing no bigger than a person's hand that flit around before flying back to its source. "O... Onee-chan..." Momo groaned as her mother ran to her daughter's aid and helped her up. Before the three stood Aisia Asakura, Aile Skygrapser at the ready. "I remember you... you were one of the brats who stopped us before," the Rider angrily growled. "Momo-chan, stay with your mother! I'll teleport you somewhere safe!" Aisia said. With that, she quickly teleported the three to the Abenobashi Arcade, unaware that Ayane was already gone by then and at Cafe Mahou. ... Now came the problem. Aisia knew that Cafe Mahou was quite a ways from Izanai Park. She needed help. Even against three Shocker Riders and a monster, she could easily hold her own and maybe even take one out before reinforcements arrived. But in her current, weakened pregnant state? She wasn't sure if she could hold out for one minute. She didn't have a choice though. If she ran, these Shockers would be able to do whatever the pleased. She needed to stop them here. "... I'm sorry, Ayane..." Aisia whispered into the Skygrasper. "I don't have a choice. We'll just have to fight hard until you get here..." The Shocker Rider leader paused for a bit, then laughed. "Hahaha, you fool. I don't fully understand what's going on, but you look much weaker than usual. And even if you weren't, do you honestly think you can beat all of us?" Aisia gave him a bitter smile. "Well, we'll see now, won't we!?" Without any hesitation, she bade her transformation belt to appear and slapped the Aile Skygrasper on it. "I'm sorry, my child..." she whispered once, then she yelled, "HENSHIN! PHASE SHIFT ON!" |

Oh, and, uh, yeah, I already finished the whole thing back in Super Robot Wars Legacy, so I'll be posting the rest of the fic here. XD "Where the hell could she be!?" cried a worried Ayane as she stormed out of Cafe Mahou with Saito, Selene, Hotaru and Hinata following suit. "Why not try calling her?" Saito asked. "You idiot, do you honestly think she'd answer me if I called her right now!? Besides, this is something that I should tell her face to face!" Ayane angrily retorted. "Now, now, maybe she's just looking for some time alone," Hinata said. "You can't blame her for that." "But she has every right to be concerned! Aisia's pregnant after all!" Hotaru said. "... Dammit, Aisia, where are you!?" Ayane groaned as she stomped impatiently down the road. "Good job, little sister, and we finally managed to calm her down!" Hinata sighed. "No we didn't!" Hotaru retorted, but something stopped them all from talking. That something came in the form of two Skygraspers that flew to Ayane and Selene. "Oh bollocks... not a good time to get a call for this..." Selene sighed as she took the Skygrasper in her hand. "What's going on now?" "I don't know. Maybe it's a local disturbance. I don't care at this point; maybe it'll be good stress re-" "... I'm sorry, Ayane..." Ayane froze at that voice. "I don't have a choice. We'll just have to fight hard until you get here..." "Aisia..." Selene gasped. "Then that means she's- Ayane!" "HENSHIN! PHASE SHIFT ON!" [Henshin! Phase Shift ON!] Right before everyone's eyes, Ayane transformed into Launcher Strike as soon as she heard Aisia speak those words. "LEAD ME TO WHERE SHE IS! AISIA, WAIT FOR ME DAMMIT!" Ayane yelled before quickly boosting off ahead of everyone else! [SEED Mode Activated - SPEED] "Hey, wait!" Saito called out, but by then, Ayane was long gone, leaving only a trail of blue afterimages in her wake. "Dammit, is she just going to go fight like that alone!?" "In case you forgot, Saito-san, Aisia's pregnant! Do you know what that's like, trying to fight with a baby growing in your womb!?" Hotaru admonished him before turning to Selene. "Selene-san, where is she!?" "According to the GPS signal, it's at Izanai Park!" Selene said. "That's too far from here!" Hinata said. "Even if Ayane could get there..." "We'll just have to hope for the best! Maybe the other two can get there faster, but..." Selene appeared crestfallen at that point. "No! We're not giving up!" Saito said. "Hinata, Hotaru, call for back up from Hajime while we're getting there! He should be closer, right?" "Maybe! Let's just give him a call then!" Hinata agreed. "Selene-chan, let's go!" With that in mind, they ran as fast as their legs could take them towards Izanai Park. "YAAAAAH!" Aisia mostly stayed in the air and kept peppering her opponents with beam rifle shots and landing away from melee range. At the very least, she was keeping the enemy busy and preventing them from leaving and causing chaos. That is, until either reinforcements arrived, or she fell. "Insolent pest!" the leader of the squad said as he tried to do a flying kick at the agile Aisia. It was easy enough to block the kick with her shield and retaliate with beam gun fire. She already managed to incapacitate one of them by shooting off his arms and heavily damaging the leg of another, but that still left the Shocker Rider leader and his Chainsaw Lizard still standing, and the leader himself seemed to be better armored than the other two Riders, allowing him to take more punishment from Aisia's beam attacks. "You'll have to get me first, you bastards!" Aisia simply retorted, leaping again as soon as her Aile Boosters recovered, giving her air superiority once more. If I keep this up until reinforcements arrive, then-- "GHH--" Aisia momentarily stopped her flight pattern at the sudden pulse of pain from her womb. It was as if her unborn child was scared at the entire situation, and scared for her mother as well. "No! Not now! I- AHHHHHH!" In her hesitation, the Chainsaw Lizard managed to leap high enough to slash at Aisia, the chainsaw's teeth sparking as it cut in front of Aisia's torso. The Phase Shift armor was the only thing that kept her from being really slashed to pieces as a result. The attack, however managed to bring her crashing to the ground. "Heh. You were certainly a nuisance. But I'm disappointed that it took just this much to take you down. I was expecting more of a challenge," the lead Shocker Rider spat as he grabbed the fallen Aisia by the neck and held her above the ground. "I wonder... why didn't you fight back with as much vigor this time?" he sneered as he gently but tortuously caressed her face before letting his free hand travel lower down her torso, as if feeling for what it was that held her back. As soon as that hand reached her womb, Aisia violently fought to break free, eventually pulling out her Armor Schneider knives and stabbing them into his arm, forcing him to release her from the pain. "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER, YOU BASTARDS!" Aisia growled like an enraged mother lion protecting her children. In fact, that's exactly what she was right now. She somehow managed to pick herself back up from the ground and defiantly face the group, but before she could recover fully, the Chainsaw Lizard hit her once with an upward slash, followed by a Rider Punch from the other rider whose arms were still operational. The force of both attacks coupled by her already weakened will forced her out of her transformation, reverting her back to her normal self! The Shocker Leader seemed to blink behind his mask for a moment before suddenly laughing maniacally, as if discovering some kind of dirty little secret. "Of course! You carry life in that womb of yours! To think that you would be so foolish as to fight in such a state, endangering not only yourself, but also your child!" he cackled. "I don't know whether to admire you for your courage... or laugh at your foolishness." Before Aisia could lift herself up, the leader brought a boot up at her neck, forcing her down and choking her as well. "Now then... be a good girl and let us take your child. I'm sure he or she will serve better as a child and soldier of Shocker!" the leader laughed as the Chainsaw Lizard revved his chainsaw arm in preparation for "extracting" Aisia's child. All Aisia could do is grab futilely at the Shocker's boot, trying to gasp for air and stop him from taking away her baby. She wanted to teleport to safety, but felt was so weak, she couldn't even summon the strength to think of where to go. No... is this where I die then?... like this?... The revs of the chainsaw grew louder yet duller with each passing moment, as she was slowly losing consciousness. Mama... Mama! Aisia thought she was hallucinating as her world turned darker. Ah... I'm sorry... I couldn't protect you... or anyone else... I really am stupid, aren't I... Mama! Mama... Please, get up! I didn't even get to give you a name... She bitterly smiled. Even in her last moments, all she could think of was her child and wanting to protect her, and yet being rendered completely unable to. Mama... please! I don't want to die! ... What do I do then!? Take my strength, Mama! I know you're strong! Fight, Mama! Fight! Your... strength? Of course. Aisia didn't want to die. But if she stayed like this, she and her child most certainly would. That alone was more painful than the thought of living forever alone. Dying pointlessly without giving her all to save her child... "... I... Don't want that..." Aisia gasped between breaths and closed eyes. "Haaah? Any last words?" the Leader asked, letting his boot off a little bit just to let her speak once before intending to immediately crush her petite little neck under his boot. "... I..." Mama! Take my strength, Mama! "I DON'T WANT THAT!" What the Shockers would see next would probably shock them the most, mostly because for all of their info on the Strike Rangers, they did not expect to see this kind of power in their leader. Certainly in the other one known as the Gatekeeper, but not the red Wizard! A pair of blue swirling magical rings that turned opposite from each other suddenly appeared on her womb! At the same time, Aisia's eyes shot open, revealing the same blue rings in her eyes! "LET... GO... OF MY CHILD!" A violent gust of wind shot forth from the rings on her womb, launching the Shocker group violently into the air and away from Aisia! As soon as they were launched into the air, a baseball suddenly shot out and slammed into the Chainsaw Lizard, ricocheting into the other Riders before it bounded back to its source - a redhead woman with short hair wearing some kind of baseball outfit that said "Hashi" on it. "Damn! I hope I wasn't too late!" Reika Umito gasped as she ran towards the fallen Aisia. "Hey! Are you allright!?" Aisia coughed violently, blood trickling from her lip as she struggled to get up with Reika's help. "Reika... san..." "Hold on, dammit! We can't have you dying on us! How long did you intend to fight on your own, idiot!? We're a team!" "I... know... Sorry. I had to... hold the fort for a while until the reserves arrived," Aisia chuckled bitterly. One of the Riders with the bum leg tried to get up, but he was suddenly sniped in the head by an electromagnetic blast, causing him to explode violently into pieces! [CLOCK OVER] "Shit! Aisia!" Elza gasped as she managed to reach Aisia's side. "Dammit, why do you insist on fighting like this on your own!? Especially when you're pregnant!?" Reika blinked at that last one. "EHHHH!? SHE'S WHA-" "I'll explain later, Reika. Right now, we need to protect her!" Elza said as she grabbed her Skygrasper. Reika nodded and quickly but gently set Aisia next to a tree to rest. "Stay there for now, Aisia-chan! We'll take over from here." Aisia merely smiled at Reika and mouthed "Thank you" before passing out. "Dammit. Do you Rangers intend to keep getting in our way!?" The leader growled as he pulled the knives from his arm and threw them to the ground. "Of course!" Elza said as she gripped her Skygrasper. "And we're not letting you get away with what you just did to our comrade!" "If there's anything about you Shockers that I hate, it's that you never fight fair," Reika angrily added as she too grabbed her Skygrasper from the air. "It's time to even the odds, eh?" "If you so ask!" the leader said before yet another monster jumped into the fray - this time, it was an armored centaur with a large sword. "It looks like your leader's efforts to delay us have only allowed us to bring more allies to the field!" "I wonder about that," Elza spat. "Let's go, Reika!" "Yeah!" With that, both girls slapped their Skygraspers onto their belts, each of them calling out with a fierce battle cry of "HENSHIN! PHASE SHIFT ON!" [Henshin! Phase Shift ON!] As soon as they did, Elza transformed into Lightning Strike while Reika transformed into Sword Strike! "I'll take the horse and that armless Rider, Elza. You can take the Lizard and the other Rider!" Reika said as she charged towards the Centaur and the unarmed Shocker Rider, Schwertz Ghwer on the right hand and Hashi Bat on the left! "Haaah... energetic as always," Elza mused before readying her Electromagnetic Cannons. However, something bugged her about earlier. When the hell did Aisia get Ayane's Gate!? she wondered as she charged at the Chainsaw Lizard and the Shocker Leader! |

I'm sorry... mama... Eh?... I did something that would make you sad... Aisia shook her head as she drifted in and out of conciousness. No... it couldn't be helped. I was being stupid. Mama, that's not good! You can't call yourself... stupid... ... You're right. Sorry. Anyway... you're safe now... right? I think so... thank you. Aisia could swear she felt her smile at her. Then... goodbye... No! Not goodbye! Oh... right... see you later... then?... Aisia nodded. Mhm... see you... later... With that, her world went completely black. Meanwhile, the two Strike Rangers were holding their own against the quartet of Shocker Enemies. Reika in particular was was wailing hard on the Armored Centaur Shocker. "Come on, come on! Fall already!" Reika angrily said as she kept hitting the centaur with her bat and her Anti-Ship Sword. Sparks flew with each hit, and it still backed off when it tried to parry her attacks with its sword. "You look pretty motivated, Reika," Elza dryly said as she parried the Chainsaw Lizard's attack with her Twin Phantom in Melee Mode before kicking it once and blasting it in the stomach with her electromagnetic cannons. "Wouldn't you be too if your friends got hurt!?" Reika said as she continued to keep beating down on the monster before kicking it once and throwing a beam boomerang at the other Shocker Rider, who subsequently exploded from the impact. "I guess you're right!" Elza replied as she too tried to shoot the Shocker Leader, but he was able to dodge her attacks and make a beeline towards the fallen Aisia! "Crap! He's after Aisia!" Elza gasped as she parried another attack from the Chainsaw Lizard, but there was no way she could stop the Leader in the process! "Heh..." he chuckled with a smirk. "Well, we can at least get-" BOOM. The Leader was suddenly thrown back by the impact of missiles hitting the ground before him, throwing him a few feet back! "Arrgh! You!" the Leader growled as he shakily got to his feet. To Elza and Reika's surprise... there was already someone by Aisia's side. "Ayane!" Reika gasped. Ayane wordlessly picked up Aisia in her arms and quietly raised her hand in the air. "Is she allright?" "Somehow," Elza said. "We're still kinda dealing with these monsters." Ayane nodded at that. "I understand. I'll be with you shortly." "Dammit... and to think we would have the unfortunate luck of being unable to finish off these heroes in time..." the Shocker Leader growled. There was only one recourse left for them at this point. "We're leaving!" he announced to his minions, causing them to turn and run. "Hey! They're running!" Reika gasped. She made to run towards the Centaur Shocker, but a red lance of energy burst through it, crippling the Centaur in the process. "... Who said you could run?" Ayane angrily said. "If I let you run now, then all you'll do is do this to Aisia again! Or anyone else, for that matter!" To everyone's shock, she now had the Aile Pack equipped on her back! [FINAL STRIKE INITIATED] "I'm going to kill you, Shocker." [LAUNCHER STRIKE FULL BURST] "No! Run!" the leader gasped, but the pair already got in the way of the monsters' escape routes! [FINAL STRIKE INITIATED] [SWORD STRIKE FULL SLASH] "HOOOOOME RUUUUN!" Reika yelled as she threw the boomerang at the Centaur whow as already limping from the blast, launching him back a few feet! This was followed by a one-two hit from Reika's Anti-ship sword and baseball bat, sending it flying back towards the Shocker Leader! [FINAL STRIKE INITIATED] [LIGHTING STRIKE FULL CHARGE][/font] "LIGHTING DETONATOR!" Elza yelled as the shoulder pods opened and unleashed a volley of homing lasers at the Chainsaw Lizard, sending it flying back at the Shocker Leader as well! Both of monsters slammed into the Leader, pinning him down! As soon as Reika and Elza finished their attacks, a full volley of missiles and vulcan fire from Ayane's attack saturated the area! The pair already flew back to Ayane's position, and at the same time, Ayane's Agni Impulse Cannon was just about fully charged! Ayane embraced Aisia with one arm to brace them both for the attack. "... Gate. Open." Double green rings appeared before the Launcher's barrel before a giant railcannon blast was launched from it! It was enveloped by a violent tornado that sucked in all of the enemies as Ayane shot the laser across the park, sucking them in and destroying them! "To think that that those two share the same power-" were the last screams that were heard from the Shocker Leader's mouth as he was sucked in along with the Centaur and the Chainsaw Lizard, vaporizing all of them in an instant! "Whew! I guess that's that..." Reika said as she released her Skygrasper from her belt. Elza followed suit, and both girls returned to their normal selves. "I guess now we should- Ayane!?" To their utter disbelief, Ayane was already taking Aisia to the hospital, blasting off on the Aile pack as she did! "HEY! AYANE!" Reika hollered after her, sighing as she did. "Man, why'd she just run off like that?" "I don't blame her. Aisia's pregnant, after all," Elza sighed. "Damn, to think that she'd be worried-" "WHAT!? SHE'S PREGNANT!?" Reika gasped in utter disbelief. "YES, I SAID THAT EARLIER!" the taller girl sighed. "Oh yeah... but wait, aren't they... you know, lovers, and unable to do that by themselves?" the redhead mused. "Yes, which was the kind of the source of their problems before. It's... complicated." Reika pursed her lips at that and sighed. "We should check on them. I mean, Aisia could be really hurt right now! I've never been pregnant before, but that looks really hard..." "Nah. Let's just make sure they actually get to the hospital safely," Elza said. "Besides, I think those two need some time alone." Meanwhile, in the air, Ayane was crying as she held Aisia in her arms. "Aisia... I'm sorry," was her litany as she blasted off towards the hospital as fast as the Aile Pack could take her in SPEED mode. "A... Ayane..." Aisia stirred. "Aisia!" the bespectacled girl gasped. "Don't move! You'll fall..." Aisia could only weakly look at the woman she loved more than anything else in this world... or any other. "I'm sorry... I pushed too hard, and got our child in trouble..." "Idiot! Don't say that!" Ayane angrily snapped. "Ah... sorry. Y... you're right. She's probably not your child anyway..." Aisia sadly said. "Idiot! That... that's not what I mean." "Eh?" Ayane gulped a bit. "I'm... not angry about that. I'm angry that you're not telling me why you got pregnant in the first place. I'm angry at the fact that I feel betrayed from all this. I'm angry... because I feel that I can't trust you anymore." Aisia bit her lip and looked away from her. "I... I guess you're right. I... can't blame you for that." "But... I won't leave you." "... Eh?" Aisia slowly looked back at Ayane's face, which now had a softer and gentler expression compared to before. "Aisia... no matter what your reasons are for what you did, if you did anything, or what that person did to you... I can't bring myself to leave you. You've done so much for me as a person, and... you've restored my faith in humanity, really. The least I can do is keep believing in you, right?" Ayane bit her lip and paused, almost somewhat slowing down in the process, but still blasting towards the hospital before continuing. "And even if you never tell me why, I'll still wait for you to tell me. And I'll always be here. Always." "Ayane..." Aisia whimpered, her eyes now filling with tears. "I don't know what to say..." "You don't have to say anything! Please... please don't, not right now," Ayane said. "If you do, I might, well, cry, and then drop you, and then we'd have a real mess on our hands." "Idiot. I can't let go of you even if I tried..." Aisia said as she hugged Ayane close and kissed her. From the ground, nobody could really see what the Strike Rangers were doing this time, but that was fine for them. The pair just wanted that moment to last just a little bit longer before they faced each other and their dilemma once more. But back in the park, two people had the distinct feeling that this dilemma wasn't going to stay one for very long. "So wait... you're saying that Aisia GATED the Shockers!? I didn't even notice that!" Reika asked as they walked towards the hospital, after having already alerted Selene about what transpired. "Well, I was nearby while in Clock Up mode, so I had a better look. I just saw a violent wind similar to Ayane's power," Elza said. "... Then doesn't that make Ayane the father?" ... Both girls paused for a bit. "That's... impossible... right?" Elza asked. "If that's the case though, then the saying is true! Love can make babies!" Reika said. "... I don't think that's the issue here!" Elza sighed. "I know, but wouldn't it be cool if that were so?" the redhead chuckled. "... Let's just go, Reika," the tall blonde groaned as the pair broke into a run towards the hospital. Edited by Pikachu_Fragger, Oct 6 2009, 11:58 AM.

Aisia was bored out of her mind. She already finished reading the manga that Reika gave her and the movies that Elza brought for her on Selene's laptop, so she completely had nothing to do. She simply stared listlessly at the hospital ceiling, her right hand resting on her womb while her other hand was attached to an IV drip. Because of the violent nature of the Shocker attack three days ago, she was forced to stay in the hospital a bit longer so that the doctors could monitor her better. In those three days, Ayane didn't show up to visit her. Despite what they said when she brought her here, she kind of felt this would happen after they parted. After all, the wounds in their hearts were still sore, and if Aisia did indeed have this baby from someone else somehow, even if it wasn't her fault, it wasn't something that Ayane could easily forgive. She knew that. And seeing her in the hospital would remind her of that. Why else would she choose not to see her when she needed her the most? So she decided to stay strong. When the other girls asked why she didn't show up yet, Aisia just brushed it off and talk about something else. She didn't want to seem sad in front of them, and they should be happy. After all, she and her child were now safe, even if it meant that they would have to stay in the hospital longer to make sure of that. Her friends somehow caught on to this, and didn't ask about Ayane after that. Still, in the middle of the night, when she was alone, she would weep, and long for the gentle touch of her partner. Even if it was just the sound of her voice, she would be satisfied by that. But such wishes eluded her, and so the nurses would be left to wonder why the cheerful woman who greeted them every morning when they came to change her sheets would find her pillowcase utterly drenched. "... I'm bored," she whimpered as she raised her free hand up and peered at the spaces between her fingers. "I know I shouldn't wish for things, but... I wish a gallant knight in glasses that never work would come to take me away from here. A knight who fights with cellphones that explode, make barriers, or breathe fire. A knight who has those cute little hairpins in her hair and keep the excess hair from covering her beautiful brown eyes. A knight who would..." she was about to say, but she stopped herself and dropped her hand back on her womb. "But... it's impossible, isn't it..." "I knew it..." a familiar male voice groaned from the doorway. Aisia gasped and almost stood up at the voice. "Saito!" Saito gave the girl a weak smile and waved hello, the sword on his back clanking up once to do the same. "Yo. I didn't think you'd be this bored." "A-about what I just said..." Aisia began, but Saito sighed and held up a hand to stop her. "Why don't you call her? It's not like you don't know each other's numbers," he asked. "Because... if that's what she wants, then... I should let her." "What about you? What about what YOU want?" Saito asked. "It's not that simple!" Aisia yelled back. "I don't want to wish too much for something that I want. The last time that happened, it caused so much pain for others... I don't want to have to go through that again." "That doesn't mean you shouldn't have to go through this!" Saito sighed. "I'm giving that idiot a call-" "No," Aisia angrily said. "Partner, I think she's serious about this," Delflinger said. "Can it! Can't you see that she wants her to come!?" Saito yelled. "It's all right. Really," Aisia said. "I don't mind if it's just something that I want. Even if I don't see her anymore after this, I can still want to see her. I just don't want to... force her to see me, you know?" "Aisia..." the man whispered in disbelief. "If she wants to come, it has to be of her own volition. I don't want her to come because I'm in the hospital and she has an obligation to. She doesn't have to do anything for me. I can... I can just be content with wanting it. A wish is simply that... a wish. Not something that I can make true thanks to magic, or something that I have to work towards. After all, the only things that fuel a wish are the feelings we put in them. Nothing more, nothing less." Saito sighed as he replaced the flowers next to her bed with the fresh ones he brought. "I... see." "So, please... don't say anything to her." Saito paused after fixing the flowers, then spoke. "Fine. If that's what you want. I'll give her a few words of my own, but I won't tell her what to do... I guess?" Aisia sighed. "Thanks. And... thanks for visiting too," she chuckled. "So, what's been happening since I've been gone?" she asked. "Well, the usual odd stuff. Shiki's been blowing things up in the lab again, and I think Elza accidentally went too far today and knocked one of the customers unconcious Something about how 'that idiot had that tray coming to him' or something like that..." The girl giggled through the stories and she chatted with Saito for as long as he could stay. Saito sighed as he walked through the streets of Downtown Hyakuji, which were becoming increasingly cold as Fall set in. He just came out of an electronics shop with a few sticks of RAM that he needed to upgrade his desktop computer. "Why? Why won't she just let her know that she wants her to be with her?" he sighed. "You have to remember, partner, she was from a world where her meddling with other people's feelings backfired horribly on her. Do you really want to subject the poor girl to that crap again?" he asked. "Of course not, but that's beside the point! I know that they both feel that way for each other! So why is that idiot-" He stopped himself when he saw who rounded the corner that he was approaching. "Ayane," he gasped. Ayane seemed to stop in surprise, and was fiddling with something in her hand before quickly pocketing it. "Saito," she said. "Didn't think I'd see you here. I thought you had work." "Well, I got off early to see someone," he growled, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "... I see," the bespectacled girl sighed. "How is she?" "You should find that out yourself," he snapped. "Isn't she your girlfriend?" "Isn't that none of your business?" Ayane coolly countered as she began to walk past him. She didn't need this from him, not when she was now mentally set on -- "Ayane!" Saito growled as he placed a hand on her shoulder, but she angrily slapped his hand away. "DON'T STOP ME, DAMMIT! I DON'T NEED THIS FROM YOU RIGHT NOW!" she angrily yelled before really starting to pick up the pace. "Dammit, Ayane, don't you see what the hell you're doing to her!?" he growled, and this time, he decided to tackle her down. The move shocked Ayane, mostly because she didn't expect him to do that to a girl, and they tumbled into an alley. "You idiot! Get off me!" she yelled as she tried to shove him away, but he simply picked her up and pinned her to the wall. "You're the idiot! I thought you guys already patched things up! You were all gung-ho on trying to see her again, and then after the attack on the park you just up and left her again!" he angrily yelled. "I know I shouldn't intrude, but dammit, I need to know! Is this really what you want!?" "YES! YES IT IS, DAMMIT!" Ayane growled. "NOW GET OFF OF ME BEFORE I-" She suddenly fell a bit to the ground as Saito backed away and leaned against the wall. "... I... see." He sighed. He really did want to see them together again. After all, they both looked good together, and they've been together for a long time. For something like this to break them apart simply because they wouldn't do anything about it... it simply angered him. But he also knew when to give up. "... Fine. If that's what you want, then... I can't stop you," he sighed. "I just hope that you're-" "... Gone." Saito stopped. "Eh?" "IT'S GONE!" Ayane gasped, her hands digging through the pocket she was fiddling with earlier. She angrily stood up, and this time, it was her turn to slam Saito to the wall. "HELP ME FIND IT, YOU IDIOT! IT'S YOUR FAULT I LOST IT!" "Find what!?" Saito gasped, surprised at her sudden strength. "'IT'!" she yelled. "WHAT'S 'IT'!?" he yelled back. Now he was confused. "THE THING WE BOTH AGREED I SHOULD GET HER!" she groaned, not really wanting to say it out loud. "I had to work my ass off for the last three days so that I could give it to her earlier! And now you're trying to stop me!?" Saito blinked. "So the reason you couldn't visit her was so that you could..." "So that I could actually buy it, you goddamn moron," she finished for him. "Now help me find it, or I swear to God, I'll melt that sword of yours and use that to craft one myself!" "Hey! That's going too far!" Delflinger spat back even as Saito's face twisted in confusion. "Ayane... what the hell was 'it'?" Now Ayane was at her breaking point. "YOU. FUCKING. MORON! DON'T TELL ME YOU FORGOT!" Saito pondered on that for a few moments, then realized what she was talking about. "YOU MEAN-" "HELP ME FIND IT BEFORE I KILL YOU." "... okay." Aisia was crying again. She wasn't sobbing or anything like that, but her eyes simply refused to stop the tears from flowing. "... I guess I really do miss her..." she sighed to herself. Unable to sleep, she just tossed around the bed, wanting to just leave the room and do something. She accidentally pinned her arm the wrong way on the bed, illiciting a groan from her lips, but that's not what caught her attention. What caught her attention was the sound of something clattering outside. "You can't go in there! It's past visiting hours!" a nurse said. "I DON'T CARE! LET ME THE HELL THROUGH!" another, more familiar voice yelled in retaliation. Aisia blinked at that voice. "It can't be..." She groaned and got up from the bed, pulling the bedside IV drip with her as she did. "It just can't be..." She opened the door to take a look at who the hell could be making such a ruckus at this hour, and she gasped. Ayane Isuzu and Saito Hiraga were literally fighting tooth and nail through a group of male nurses who were trying to stop her. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT, SAITO!" she yelled before throwing one of the male nurses to the floor. "How was I supposed to know you actually decided to get it earlier!?" he yelled before also tackling one of the nurses down, giving her enough room to run the last few meters to where Aisia was. "GO!" Ayane nodded at Saito, and after leapfrogging over a downed nurse, ran to where Aisia stood. "Ayane!" Aisia gasped in surprise. She also tried to wipe the tears from her eyes. "What are you-" "Aisia... here..." she managed to say before taking Aisia's hand and shoving something small into it. The latter blinked at her girlfriend for a moment before looking at exactly what the hell it was she was now holding. It was a slightly dirty engagement ring with a pair of diamonds on top, set in a pair of gem slots shaped in the symbol for infinity. "I'm sorry if it's dirty..." she gasped before finally getting enough air in her lungs to speak. "That idiot Saito made me lose it earlier." "Ayane... wha..." she began to speak, but Ayane placed a finger on her lips. "I don't know if you still want to do this, but... Aisia Asakura, there's nobody else that I would rather be with than you. I don't care about what happened to you or why you're pregnant. Nor am I using that as an excuse to do this, nor am I doing this out of obligation. I'm asking you now because after thinking about it and being with you for so long, I thought that this was... well, the logical next step." Now the tears wouldn't stop in Aisia's eyes. "I'm sorry for being so selfish, and for being so frustrated at you not being able to tell me why. Or for not... well, telling you," Ayane continued. "I sort of felt that this was something you wanted to do eventually, and, well... given how badly I've treated you in the past few months, I can't blame you if you say no or want to think more about it. I'm... I'm scared of what will happen next. But know this. I won't... I won't ever leave your side for as long as you want me there... for as long as you need me there. I only ask that you'll stay by my side too, for as long as it takes..." She then held Aisia's hands together and pressed them against her chest. "Aisia Asakura... I love you and I want to be with you for the rest of our lives. Will you... will you..." "H-Hold on a second!" Aisia gasped. Her head was spinning from the blood suddenly rushing to it, and she was kind of wobbling from weakness. "I... I need... some time." Ayane held on for a few tense moments before sighing and letting go. "I... I understand. I know... I know this is probably not a good-" "No, dammit. I need some time... so that I can decide how to say yes." Aisia said. "... Eh?" "... Oh, what the hell. I shouldn't have you waiting so long anyway..." she said before reaching her hands up to her face and kissing her gently on the lips. All the nurses and Saito stopped fighting for a while to see what was going on, and some of the female nurses squealed at the proposal scene before them. Even Saito smiled at the scene, and used this chance to get away from hospital security for a moment. When they were finished, Ayane managed to catch her breath and hugged Aisia close. "Is... is that a yes?" "... What do you think?" she whimpered behind her tears, which were now tears of joy. [Three months later] "... are you okay back there?" Ayane worriedly said behind the door. She was wearing a white tuxedo instead of a wedding gown mostly because she felt that it didn't really suit her. They already went through the whole wedding ceremony and were now at the reception in a hotel. Aisia had to go to the bathroom, and like any proper husband, Ayane waited for her outside. "What are you talking about now?" Aisia sighed. "Wasn't getting married your idea in the first place?" "Yes, but so soon? I mean... you're... showing," the other girl said. "And whose fault was that anyway, hmmm?" she teased. "H-How was I supposed to know I could do that!?" Ayane growled. "I'm a woman, dammit, not a man! Procreation does not work that way!" "Well, she's still your child too. The test results don't lie," Aisia said. "You have to take responsibility for making me pregnant." "T-That's not the point! Ahh, mou! I still think something screwed up in that test!" "And you're not going to go by their theory that perhaps it was magic? I mean, I AM a wizard. Thinking about how miracles take place that way, that's not totally out of the question. Or are you simply saying that you're not the father of our child, even after being so mad the first time at not being the one?" "T-That's not what I meant, and you know it!" Ayane angrily said, causing Aisia to giggle behind the door. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Sorry..." "Yeah, you better be sorry. I'm not a father, dammit," the bespectacled girl sighed just as the bathroom door opened. Aisia had finished freshening up and straightening out her white silken wedding dress, which was, oddly enough, one that had a larger waistline to accomodate for her growing belly. "That's right. You're also her mother," Aisia teased as she kissed Ayane gently on the lips. Ayane now had to bend down so that they could do that, since Aisia's belly was now fairly large at this point and got in the way. "... I don't know if I'm also a mother too. I mean, aren't they supposed to be the ones who give birth to their children?" Ayane asked, elliciting a sigh from her wife. "... We're going to have a hard time explaining this to Sumomo, aren't we," she sighed as she petted her belly. "Sorry..." "Well, we'll worry about that when the time comes," Aisia said before hooking her hand under Ayane's arm. "Shall we get back? I think they're expecting us to cut the cake next." Ayane smiled. "Sure," she said as she hooked her arm around her wife's hand. Together, side by side, they walked back to the reception hall. ... And that's it folks. Thanks for reading, if you got this far! XD Also, next up will probably be... ... Oh, right, I better not tell just yet. XD |
