The tall looming shadow of an old broken down pagoda palace stood dark and imposing to it's surroundings. Seeming to have been overun by years of neglect, the beautiful gardens that had surrounded it had taken over, roots of trees beginning to pierce though the walls and wrap around its base. The two chasers stood breathless before it. Blitzer and Kinclex had been following the trail for a good 3 hours now and it was already dusk. That girl, whoever she was, could move extremely quick. But Blitzer had been able to follow her scent all the way here. Kinclex patted his mane, "Good boy. Now, to just let Nickle find us." Channelling and condensing his energy around his body, Kinclex acted like and invisible beacon, or rather a beacon only and electromancer could sense. ============================================ Airborne and gliding on the wind currents, Nickle had been trailing Kinclex and Blitzer. He had not had a fix on their general location, but was able to follow them for the most half. He was surprised at the distance that they were covering. The girl obviously wanted to try lose anyone who may be pursueing her. Nickle looked down at the moutains below him, well past the familiar mountain range of Mt. Hyaku. As he felt the pulsing of Kinclex's signal, he finally spoke to Celestial, having remained silent this whole time, "They've found her. Hold on tight." Nickle began to descend, homing in on his brother. He spotted him and his Juunishi soon enough. With his job accomplished, Blitzer reformed himself into a flurry of silver lotus petals and dissappeared back inside the sekkou ring. Nickle's wings slowly began to dissolve into flicks of light as he looked at the giant japanese castle. "So, her scent stopped here?" Kinclex nodded, looking at it with Nickle, placing on hand on his hip, "Yes, Blitzer just stopped running. I'm sure it's here." NIckle nodded, "We'll split up and find our own entrances inside. We'll be able to search more effectively that way." Kinclex nodded, pulling a bandana out from his pocket and tieing it around his face, making him look like a ninja bandit of some sort, while Nickle drew kaneryuu, holding it out for Celestial to take, "Take this. You'll need it more than I will in this situation." Celestial's abilities weren't designed for combat and Nickle had no idea what kind of hand to hand combat she knew aside from a few simple movements he'd shown her from time to time. "Let's go get our daughter back." Edited by Nickle, Mar 1 2009, 12:38 AM.

Celestial was silent the whole time, listening to the mind of her daughter. She was scared out of her wits, which almost made her stop listening. But every now and then she'd give a clue of where she was. It wasn't much but at least once she got there she would know the surroundings already. She held on tighter when she heard Nickle finally speak. She already knew they were close, just by looking at the surroundings herself. She dropped herself off of Nickle's back when he finally landed and his wings began to dissolve. She stood still for a few moments, waiting for the wobbly feeling in her legs to pass. When she heard Nickle say split up, her eyes widened. She already knew all the entrances to this broken down palace, though she didn't speak up. She knew her power was pretty much worthless, but sometimes it proved to be useful. She also remembered every scary movie she had ever seen. When people split up it always ended badly. But she bit her tongue and knew if anything were to happen to her she could get in touch with them telepathically. Celestial took the kaneryuu, and nodded, still silent. She still thought this was a bad idea, but she knew one of them would find their daughter. "Keep your minds clear, if I find her I will send you a mental picture of where I am." She said with a smirk. She didn't know why she thought she would find Sugar before Nickle and Kinclex, well maybe it was because she could hear her mind screaming for her mama and papa. She winced at the sound and knew they had to find her soon. |

Nickle and Kinclex nodded, "Good. We'll try get in touch with you the same way if we find her." Kinclex made a move to go off and begin the search, but Nickle halted him for a moment, "Don't hyperccelerate in there. They'd hear you coming a mile away and then we'd lose our chance to save Sugar." Kinclex looked away, thinking baout how Nickle actually was right about that. Nickle then looked back at Celestial, "Celly. I know that you don't like to use your powers to read others minds, but, I want you to make an exception here. If you meet that girl, read her mind, read her actions and..." Nickle faltered for a second, but Kinclex filled in the blank speaking of the action as if it was no more than a daily occurance. "Kill her. She won't think twice about killing you." Right away Kinclex had sensed that when he had fought her. She had a muderous intent to get what she wanted and kill anyone who wanted to stop her. Nickle shot Kinclex a disapproving look, but he was unable to hold it, because...he was right. Turning back to face Celestial, he placed a hand on her shoulder, "We're gonna get her back. I know, that you'll be able to handle, whatever comes your way." With that, he began to run towards the one side of of the Pagoda castle, while Kinclex ran at the outer wall in front of them, scaling it as if he had suction cuffs on his hands and feet. If Celestial noticed however, he had actually channelled power to his fingertips to make small indents in the wall so that he could scale it more easily. Meanwhile... ===================================================================== "Uh...uhha, uhwah aahhh...." Sugar sat crying, locked in a cage hanging from the ceiling on a long chain. The room she was in had no regular windows. Only a series of small sqaures at the top of the ceiling allowed any light to flow inside. However, along the walls a row of glowing white, oval stones were inbedded inside thick stone walls. Her voice echoed in the large room, along with the sound of the chewing of an apple. "Stop crying. It will all be over soon. As soon as the full moon rises, I'll end your life and give you passage to the spiritual plain." The girl smirk, throwing the apples core into the air and slicing it in half with her scythe. "You won't even feel it happen..." "Hi hi hi...ahaha...AHAHAHAHA!" |

Celestial nodded when Kinclex seemed to have read her mind. She was ready to leave when he did, but Nickle halted them both. She looked at Nickle as he spoke, not being able to stand seeing his eyes on the verge of tears. She'd kill the girl if only for that, and the things that Sugar was thinking. Oh the girl would pay. She jumped when he placed a hand on her shoulder, her nerves were shot at this point. She just wanted to get out there and find their daughter. She smiled when he believed in her, knowing now that she really could handle anything. She ran around the back, knowing that entrance was the closest one to where Sugar was. She leaned against the wall and tried to calm herself down. Seems she was more scared then she thought. She felt her chest burning as she continued to walk into the entrance, glancing around and taking in all of the surroundings, feeling her steps get extra light. She felt like she was barely stepping on the ground, and hoped the girl couldn't hear them. |

Celestial may have to go further into the castle than she thought. It was a large fortress and the girl had chosen one of the central most rooms to hide herself in. However, right now Celestial had the greatest chance of finding Sugar, due to her being able to inately sense her daughter's presence. The sun was setting and the moon would soon rise. That was when, the girl would kill Sugar and rip the magical essence out of her. The shadows of the large entrance gates enveloped Celestial as she crossed over the threshold. There was a staircase to her right that would lead inside to an upstairs part of the pagoda castle and an open hallway that lead inside, the door seeming to have been shattered, be it by the girl, bandtis or the elements themselves. =================================================== "W-Why are you doing this? What have fairies ever done to you? Who are you anyway." The girl had been drawing on the floor around Sugar, her scythe craving strange ruins onto the floors. She looked up momentarily, looking at Sugar and stepped close to her. "I have nothing against you. It was just unfortunate, that I sensed you. You see I have been born, with the soul purpose to collect magical essence. For you see, unlike other humans, I do not need water or food to survive. I feed on magic, it fuels me. And the younger the magical being is, the less magic they've used and therefore, the larger the meal I recieve." She smiled, raising her scythe to the cage and scaring Sugar to the other side, "My last meal was a newly spawned oni and that was over a year ago. But their magic isn't a delicasy like yours will be. I should be able to last for 5 years, after consuming you." |

Celestial knew this was not where she had to be. She walked around, to most she would look like she was lost, but she wasn't for the most part. She knew where she had to go, just not really how to get there. She walked up a flight of stairs, making sure to step lightly so they wouldn't creak as she made her way to another floor. She didn't know where Nickle or Kinclex were at, and didn't know if talking to them telepathically would be a distraction. She decided against it, taking in all of the surroundings as she reached the second floor of this castle. She could hear Sugars voice, though she didn't know if it was in her mind or in actual time. She walked around carefully, knowing the place was old. She didn't want to get hurt before she even ran into the girl. She would be no use then. She listened to her daughter, deciding it was best not to talk to her telepathically. She didn't want her daughter to give her away when she did reach her. She just listened, in horror, as Sugar thought of what the girl was about to do to her. She pulled away from Sugar's mind for a second to try and get into the captors mind, though she didn't know the extent of her power, and did not want to raise any flags if she could feel someone reading her mind. That was when it happened. She felt her body.... change? She gasped and bit her lip as she realized she was making a noise. She closed her eyes and when she opened her eyes a few moments later she looked down at her body and it was different. She felt taller, and even her clothes were different. She gasped as her heart began to beat faster and faster. She had no time to panic about what had just happened. She wasn't herself anymore. She felt stronger, and her mind was going insane as it listened to everyones mind in the building. She could hear Nickle's thoughts clearly. He felt helpless. He thought he was powerful. He was, but someone could still take his daughter? She had to get ahold of herself. She felt like she was all new to this again. She heard the girls mind. She was counting down the seconds until she could kill her daughter. Oh there would be none of that tonight. She glared and knew exactly where she was now. She started walking lightly to the room with no windows. OOC: new celly? Edited by Celestial, Mar 1 2009, 03:30 PM.

The girl stopped for a moment. She had just finished carving the necessary runes for the ritual, but, it sounded as if there was some sort of buzzing sound in her heard. However, that's what it seemed like. Slicing into the air, two halves of a fly fell to the ground. "Stupid bug." She went on with her business, not realizing that Celestial was in her mind, or even noticing her pressence. Although she was capable of noticing magical pressences, her guard was down. She felt complacent, certain that it was only her and Sugar in the castle. However, it was only a matter of time before someone found her, be it Kinclex, Nickle or Celestial. However, there was another reason that the girl felt complacent about herself. In case someone did come to the castle, she'd set up defenses. Namely sets of mobile armour that were patrolling the premisis. They were dumb, unable to attack unless they saw someone. Needless to say, this had already become hazardous for Nickle and Kinclex. They had already spotted these suits of armour, all in traditional samurai armour, some weilding katanas and others glaives. Shit...do these things have ears? I can they hear me if I sneak by? Elsewhere, it was not much better, They keep moving in circular patrols. I could take them out, but the sound of my lightning would surely blow any surprise we have over that girl... However, Celestial, was drawing exceedingly close. If she carried on going down the path she was heading and then go up two flights of stairs, she'd reach Sugar. But, time was short. Dusk was already passing and the night sky was beginning to show the first colours of indigo and blue. |

Celestial walked quietly, listening to what the girl had planned to do. She was doing it when the moon came out? She looked out the window and gasped, the sky was beginning to darken. The moon would be out sooner than she knew. She started walking faster, not really caring if anyone heard her. She had a new found attitude that only knew one thing. Her daughter was in trouble. She began to half run, finding another set of stairs that she knew would bring her closer to Sugar. It felt like her path to Sugar was lit up, and she knew just where she had to go. She took a little more time on the steps, not wanting them to creak as she walked up them. She did not encounter any of the girls "defenses" yet, and knew it seemed to be too easy. Surely there was going to be something in the way of her finding the girl. She wasn't complaining however, she would rather just get there, and get her daughter. No distractions. |

However, there were no guards stationed here. As Celestial walked, she'd notice a final passageway. It was a passage that spilt into two paths, but the thing of it was, these two paths met up and formed a square, with only one passage leading in or out. But inside the walls, was the room where Sugar was being held. The problem was, if Celestial walked around this square formed by hte passages and eventually returned to where she had entered it from, she'd find that there was no door. But, there was one clue, as to how Celestial could get inside. As darkness fell and the glowstones on the outside of the walls became the only source of light, an eerie white light, words began to reveal themselves. They were repeated on each wall, glowing a sombre purple. "Only those lost in darkness may pass through these walls." Meanwhile, on the inside, the girl and Celestial were seperated by only a few feet of solid rock. She smiled as darkness fell, raising her hand. It glowed with a silver aura. "Let's begin." She then lay it down on the ground, touching the runes she'd carved and watching as the silver light began to run through the interlinking symbols, lighting it up. |

Celestial walked around this final path, pressed against the wall as she did, Sugar's thoughts were louder, and so were the girls, so she must have been close. She saw the glowstone on one of the walls and then read it. Only those lost in darkness may pass through these walls. She blinked and started pushing along the stones around it. She didn't know what she was. Was she evil? She felt her aura get darker when she changed, but her mind was still the same. Still pure. She grumbled with frustration, she knew the wall was probably the only thing separating her from her daughter. She had walked around the square twice and knew she had to be in the walls. She started pounding on the stone with the words, tears falling down her face. She didn't know what it meant, or what she was going to do. She needed to get her daughter back. She knew it was almost time. |

"Hmm?" The girl heard something, heard something pounding on the outside walls. Sugar heard it too, a smile beginning to cross her face. "They've come. My family has come to get me!" The girl spat out a wad of flem. "Don't count on it. It's probably one of my guards. Brainless idiots." The girl began to walk to the wall where she had heard the pounding. She closed her eyes, letting her see nothing but darkness and stepped through the wall. She could feel the coldness of the stone around her as she phased through the wall like a ghost. It was a clever enchantment that this castle had. But once you had it figured out, it was to your benefit. She stepped out into the air again and opened her eyes, "Yes what is-" she turned and saw Celestial. She stood for a moment, then closed her eyes and phased back through the wall. Cursing in her mind she went back into the room. As she reappeared, Sugar hid a smile. She was scowling, which meant something had gone wrong for her. She went to grab her scythe and Sugar called out with her mind. "Mama!? Papa!? Is anyone there? You need to close your eyes and run through the wall! It's the only way in or out." Sugar knew, not just from having seen the girl do it, but by the fact that she had to close her eyes in order to be brought inside as well. She had refused at first, but there was little she could do against this girl. |

OOC: ahhhhhh I so knew that ![]() Celestial gasped as she saw the girl come through the wall and knew instantly what she had to do when she saw the girls eyes were closed. Of course she had taken it much deeper than it actually was. Of course the girl would not have recognized her new form. So that would at least keep Nickle safe. She closed her eyes and made a running start, going straight through the wall. It was a strange feeling, the cool wall running through her body like she was a ghost. She focused on sending her daughter a message, so she would not freak out when she saw her mothers new form that she didn't even know what had caused it. "Hush babydoll, mama's here. Close your eyes and don't open them till I tell you to okay? Mama looks a little different" Despite her new found attitude, she was still a mother, even if this particular form wasn't. She walked through the wall and opened her eyes once again, glaring at the girl that now had her scythe in hand. She was not good at hand to hand combat, so maybe she'd be better with a weapon? There was no time for practicing. She had to save her daughter. |

Sugar did as she was told, closing her eyes shut and covering them with her hands. The poor little season fairy was frightened enough as it was, she couldn't bare to see a battle and possibly seeing her mama getting hurt. However, the girl looked at Celestial, well the new Celestial. "Who the hell are you? What do you want?" While she spoke, she waved her hand and the chain that was suspending Sugar shortened and went to the height of the room beams. Not only would it give the girl more room to swing her scythe around effectively, but it would ensure Sugar wouldn't get away until the time was right. "Get out of here before I get angry." The girl swung her scythe around her, the balde making slicing sounds as she did so. However, there was one thing that Celestial may feel. Kaneryuu shuddered, only once, but enough for her to feel it. It was almost like it was getting excited. Argentine's blood began to make the chain-blade glisten slightly, although it could mistaken for the silver light from the rune markings making it shine. |

Celestial did not know if she should wait for Nickle to find his way to her, or if she should just handle it herself. She smirked as the girl began waving her scythe around, and giggled a little, feeling the power of the Kaneryuu in her hand. She paced around, getting closer to the girl as she did. "What do you mean who am I?! Do you really know nothing of me?!" She asked, looking appalled as she walked closer, not raising her blade as she walked around, paying little attention to the fairy, or the drawings on the ground. "I would figure you would have heard stories. I am a pretty well known being" She said as she continued to pace, taking in the surroundings of the room for future references. She was stalling, but not for Nickle's sake. She was having fun with the girl. She decided to send Nickle a mental picture of how to reach them, just in case things went wrong. "When you get to the square path, and find the writing, close your eyes to go through the wall. I may look.. a little different in this light. Don't be alarmed." She sent to each of them, smirking and giggling again as she stared at the moonlight hitting the ground. Edited by Celestial, Mar 3 2009, 02:01 PM.

Nickle responded, but he doubted Celestial would like it. "I'll try get there as soon as I can, but I just got my hands full." Nickle had just decided to try a different route when all of a sudden he had been caught out by one of the suits of armor and was now in the middle of battling off a batalion of them. Kinclex wasn't much better off. His gatling bolts were having little effect against the suits and so he was reduced to hand to hand combat, which was rather difficult in these closed spaces. He normally fought by attacking the opponent from unguarded angles, dashing around them and using blitz tactics. However, now he was reduced to full frontal fisticuffs. Celestial was on her own, at least for now. Meanwhile, the girl was not amused by what she had heard. "No, I don't know who you are, I don't care who you are and I'm going to make sure no one ever knows who you are." She began to run towards Celestial, but with each step she slowly raised herself off the ground, walking on the air as if it were a stone. Soon she was skating in the air and sent the scythe straight towards Celestial's head, aiming to decapitate her then and there. |
