Kuro checked his watch as he walked up to the front of the hotel. He had just finished his first sweep of the target area, and had returned to the hotel with a bag of groceries, intending to make himself a nice steak dinner. Steak was incredibly cheap in the states compared to Japan, and Kuro planned on capitalizing on that. He wondered if Nami was eating okay, and just thinking about the girl brough pangs of guilt into his mind. The sliding glass doors of the Hilton opened on their own, the noise from the ruckus within cascading outside. Kuro was lost deep in thought as he walked up the the desk, signaling the desk clerk. The commotion behind him didn't phase him, as plans for his mission circulated around in his head. The desk cleark walked up smiling, handing a card to him marked "Messages" in a flowery script, and clearing his throat. "Good afternoon, Mr. Kedamono, this message arrived not long after you went out last night, and several ladies of questionable origin have been checking to see if you are in today." the man said haughtingly. He was obviously very proud of his little desk job. The man raised his nose in the air as if the matter was distasteful. Kuro opened the message quickly, dreading what it would say, but there were fewer words than he thought. Target Lost At Miami Airport. Destination Unknown. Kuro crumpled up the paper angrily and threw it on a small trashcan nearby. That girl was going to give him an ulcer eventually. The man cleared his throat once more, and Kuro glared at him, wondering what in the hell could be so important. "Ah, sorry sir, but it seems security is having an issue with one of the woman now," the man stammered under his gaze, pointing towards Nami. "It seems that dirty tramp was asking us to..." the man wasn't able to complete his sentence as Kuro followed the direction of the mans finger, spotting Namida being manhandled by the security guard. Kuro's fist shot out seemingly of its own accord, and the man face rebounded off, his body slumping to the floor like a puppet whose strings had been cut. Kuro's mind didn't even register the event as his feet carried him over to Namida, stopping mere feet away. "I never thought I'de get the chance to see you again," he said simply, his voice full of apology and regret, but also longing. He wasn't sure what else he could say, and was glad the security guard had a hold of her, to stop himself from running to embrace her. He wondered if she had come to have him arrested. |

The oafish security person was now barking at Nami is his gibberish language. He really pissed her off, and what the hell did “whoocar” mean? “Oh you will pay” Nami promised growling at him. “Just you wait stupid ogre, I’m sure kuro could have you fired or something…” she said. Speak of the devil kuro himself showed up seconds later looking rather shocked to see her.
Nami studied his expression and felt her heart ache a bit. He looked to be so torn up, and it was all her fault. Her lower lip quivered and sudden streams of tears began to pour from her eyes. Surprised the guard dropped her; he didn’t want to give her the chance of accusing him of something indecent or anything. As soon as nami’s feet hit the floor she rushed forward and wrapped her arms around his torso. “kuro-san” she sobbed into his shirt, clinging onto him as if for dear life. “I was so scared, when I woke up you were gone, please don’t abandon Me.” she finished. The guard couldn’t understand kuro and nami’s Japanese but decided to go for her again as he had been told to do. “Hey you little street walker no buggin the tenants, come on out with ya” he said before placing his meaty hand on Nami’s shoulder. |

Kuro was still as a statue for a second, too stunned to even move. His mind froze, and millions of thoughts flew through his head at once, trying to explain why she wasn't completely pissed off at him. Kuro was snapped back to reality, and his hand instinctively wrapped around Nami's shoulder as the security guard approached them.
Kuro slapped the man's hand away roughly, an audible crack echoing across the lobby. Several customers turned to regard the curious pair at this, and the security guards eyes opened wide as he stared at his disfigured hand. The man was too stupid to even realize what had just happened, the pain not quite registering yet. "Don't touch what's mine, you stupid American pig," Kuro spat at him, glaring at him darkly. Kuro hugged Nami to his chest, his arm protectively over her shoulders. With a glare around the room, Kuro realized they were attracting too much attention, and decided that the faster they got out of there, the better. Kuro picked Nami up in the classical princess-carry, his arms around her back and under her knees, locking her arms around his neck. It felt good to have her in his arms again, and he felt that the elevator ride up to his room was far too fast. Once at the room, a cleaning lady noticed them and smiled mischievously, noticing Kuro from the night before when he had come in. It's not every day when a Japanese bishie-boy came into your hotel in the middle of the night after all. The hispanic lady waved him towards her, fishing in her pocket for her universal key card. Swiping it at his room door, she opened it silently, nodding her head to him and smiling. Kuro flashed a smile to the old lady, nodding his head to her, and carried Nami inside of the room, putting her down gently on the other side. A flashback from a few days earlier went through Kuro's head, and he cursed quietly. This room was a lot lower profile, and much smaller with one bed, a dresser, a TV, a tiny kitchen area and a tiny bathroom with only a stand up shower inside. Kuro crossed to the other side of the tiny hotel room, jerking the shades open and opening the glass doors that led to a tiny balcony. Leaning on the rusty guard rail, he ran one hand through his hair and tried to collect his thoughts. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to just carry you here like that, I just wanted to get you somewhere we can talk. I'm sorry about the other day. Something about you makes me want to own every part of you. I want to know the parts of you that no other man ever could, to know that the passionate sound I make come out of your mouth will only ever be heard by me," Kuro said to the crisp air outside, his breath visible in the cool air. He shivered a bit and crossed his arms, leaning backwards against the guard rail, staring at Namida. "I know that I'll never be the kind of man you deserve, but that doesn't make me want you any less." Kuro's voice shoked off for a second, and he looked out over the city-line, his memories once more going back to a few days earlier. "You should have forgotten about me, used the money to live whatever life you wanted." |

Nami sighed as she sat on he bed listening to kuro speak. He was really torn up and she could tell. She didn’t say anything but reached into her bag and pulled out a vest. Wordlessly she removed her shirt and bra not bothering to cover herself, kuro had seen everything she had anyways. She slipped the vest on and zipped it close her chest flattening out. She reached into the bag again and pulled out a baggy t-shirt with a blood splatter design at the words “Dir en Grey” across the front. “Kuro….” She said walking over to him, she shivered slightly front the cold air but continued to make her way forward till she stood only inches away. “I… I want you to know you didn’t do anything wrong, you didn’t rape me so please don’t think it was so.” She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. “I’m glad that the first time was with kuro, you treated me so gently I’m not mad at all…” she looked up and raised her hand upwards towards his face. Her fingers gently brushed against his jaw line moving forward until her palm rested against his cheek. She smiled sadly at him. “Actually after the pain subsided from the first time… it felt… good… really good, I liked it.” she told him though her eyes did give away some of the hurt and humiliation it had caused her. “but I’m not ready yet... I can’t just give myself to you now, I’m too uncertain and you seem to be torn as well. with everything the way it is now it would be better not to care so much, so until things settle down and we can actually commit to this, to one another and not have to worry about so many things I’ll live with you, but as Tomo.” She said before suddenly pulling his head down to press her lips against his. “I’m sorry…” she whispered her lips still against his. |

It was like a huge weight was lifted off of Kuro's shoulders, and a smile broke his face. Kuro met her kiss passionately, stopping her 'I'm sorry' in mid sentence. "Just don't regret it later," he said to her afterwords, his eyes dancing mischievously. "I will respect what you want for now, but you are still mine. I'm not letting you go, one day I'll change your mind, and hold you in my arms once more," he said, releasing her and pulling her shirt down roughly over her head like she was a child. He ruffled her hair and stared deep into her eyes, cupping her chin with his other hand, tilting her head up to look him in the eyes. "Until Tomo is dead for good, I'm willing to bury my feelings for Nami. I will replace Tomo in Nami's life as her guardian and protector one day, if you can ever trust me." "Now wait here like a good boy," he said laughingly, grabbing a suitcase from by the bed. "Papa has a job to do, I'll be back in awhile. If you want to, order some food, or do some sightseeing for awhile, I should be back later tonight." Kuro tried to keep the strain out of his voice, and he turned quickly to leave. Nami was right, they couldn't exactly walk around like newlyweds in this line of business, and it would be better this way. That didn't make him crave her any less, but common sense won in the end. Kuro walked out of the room, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. He was only a few floors up, and the exercise would give him a chance to clear his head. As he walked out into the lobby, the desk clerk looked at him and flinched, but Kuro merely raised a hand in apology. "Sorry about before, allow me to apologize," he said, slipping two hundred dollar bills into the mans breast pocket. The man visibly brightened, and smiled at Kuro as if he was the MVP. "No problem sir, think nothing of it, it is my job to serve after all," he said, making sure to stuff the money down into his pocket. Kuro shook his head and grinned, throwing another hundred dollar bill on the table. "I have another resident in my room. Make sure he is provided with whatever he wants. This is a tip, just charge anything the boy wants to my room, including transportation and meals," he said, gathering his suitcase and jacket. "I will return later tonight," he said to the man, bowing and walking outside to his car. Outside, Kuro motioned the valet over and handed him the receipt given to him by the Hongou Corporation. He wasn't surprised when a large, spacious sedan rolled up, typical of them. The only good thing was that in New York, these kind of cars didn't stand out, so Kuro didn't think too much of it. Kuro slipped the boy a twenty, and got in his car, heading for his next destination. Kuro slowly let the beast slip into his consciousness as he drove towards his target, a large hotel not far away. Plans ran through his head as he slipped into the parking garage quietly, parking his car and walking innocently into the hotel. Edited by Kuro-san, Feb 16 2009, 03:23 PM.

The next few months were pretty uneventful, they moved around from hotel to hotel throughout New York ranging from high-class five star hotels occupied by business men and wealthy vacationers, to dirty cheap motels crawling with drug dealers, prostitutes, and other types of scumbags. Nami was grateful though that kuro seemed to make a conscious effort to keep them out of the latter as often as possible. Their current dwelling was a room on the third floor of an average hotel one usually finds vacationing families and sight seers at. Nami walked down the hall carrying her cell phone in one hand and a fluffy white towel in the other. She stepped into the elevator and pushed the button to go to the ground floor before stepping back to lean against the railing along the elevator’s walls. She hummed to herself as she waited draping the towel over her neck so she could leave her hands free. The elevator got to floor 1 before the doors opened again, a group of three teenage boys stepped inside wearing swim trunks and carrying towels. One of them pointed nami out immediately while another whistled. She sighed and looked at the buttons again, ‘what never seen a girl in a bikini before?’ she wondered with a slight frown. Her eyes shifted downwards to her body, her bikini wasn’t even that sexy to start with, it was a boy short type with a halter top. It was black in color adorned with a bright blue flower in the left corner of her bottoms and a matching flower across her right breast. She had bought it shortly after their arrival to New York so that she could spend her plethora of free time swimming, as long as she could get back and changed before Kuro saw her. Nami had noticed that the while assignment seemed somewhat stressful on Kuro, she figured he didn’t need the added stress of her walking around in practically nothing. So she never told him that she had bought it, or even that she owned one, besides he’d probably dislike the idea of her being seen in it anyways. The door chimed again and nami exited the elevator followed by the three boys. She wasn’t worried as judging by their attire they had meant to go to the same place she had anyways. She walked into the pool area noting that it was several degrees warmer than the halls. She dropped her towel on a chair and placed her cell phone under it before stepping out of her flip flops. She was glad the hotel had two pools, a larger one meant for families to enjoy and play in, and a long narrow pool meant for swimming laps. She walked up to the second and dove in. Nami’s head rose up over the side of the pool followed by her two arms. She wiped the water from her face and checked the time on the sports watch she had on her wrist. It was 6:09 pm, Nami thought for a second, kuro had left at noonish so she figured he’d probably be back in another two hours. Kuro didn’t seem to have a set time schedule for work but he usually was out for about eight or nine hours, so unless he came back early today she’d have plenty of time. |

Kuro strode into the hotel early that day, worn out. He had spent most of his day inside of an air conditioning duct, and that just wasn't comfortable. He had finally managed to pin down the target's schedule, and tomorrow morning the man had a meeting with the other heads of his company. As he walked through the lobby, times and dates flowed through his head, along with guard routes, transportation schedules, and different timings of the hotel staff of the target. The target was a middle aged man, around 40 or so, who had recently become the head of a rival corporation to Hongou. Apparently this rival corporation had invested a lot of time and money into this man, and if they lost him, it would be all over. Kuro checked his messages, tossing out the many from various women that had someone found out his hotel, and stopped when he noticed a thick envelope with a large N on it superimposed by a dragon. Opening it, he found a huge wad of cash, and two plane tickets to Japan, nothing else. Kuro looked at the desk cleark, who was smiling at him a bit evilly, and he narrowed his eyes. Something was wrong here. No one should know he was here, and Tomo's presence was even more hidden. Throwing the envelope in the mans face, he turned his back on him and headed for the hotel room. "Be careful turning them down Mr. Kedamono," the man said darkly at his back. "Would hate for anything to happen to Miss Somoto," the man chuckled. Kuro paused, his mind racing. hardly anyone even knew a person was with Kuro, and those who did only knew that it was a person named Tomo. As far as Kuro knew, she had never given out her last name. Kuro sprinted towards the stairs, the mans laughter echoing behind him. Kuro practically flew up the stairs, practically leaping up each flight with a single stride. In seconds he was on their floor, tearing open the door to the hotel room. "TOMO?!" he yelled into the room, looking around. Only silence greeted him, and he cursed, looking out the balcony. Down in the pool below, he spotted Nami swimming around, oblivious to her surroundings. Kuro noticed three guys standing at the opposite end of the pool looking at her, and one man pointed, the three heading for the entrance. Kuro cursed and tore out of the room, hoping he would make it to the pool in time. |

Nami lifted her self out of the pool water dripping off her body. “I need to et back before Kuro gets here…” she said to herself walking over to her towel she began to dry herself off. She hummed to herself as she tapped the touch screen of her phone to see if anyone had called her, no one had. The click of her phone shutting seemed rather loud in the silence, everyone else had left the pool as it got dark out. The phone screen when black and that’s when nami noticed something, three men in the reflected in her phone’s black screen. “…..” she shifted her weight pretending not to notice anything. She continued to dry her hair seemingly completely naïve of her situation, she turned a bit as if she was going back to the hotel. Sure enough on of the men made a grab for her. Nami threw the towel into his face and dropped down swinging her right leg clockwise kicking his feet out form under him. his head hit the cement with a sickening crack. While his buddies were still in shock she sprung up and drove her elbow into the next man’s gut then quickly grabbed his head as he doubled over and slammed his face against her knee. The third guy looked shocked as nami took a confident stance her hands out in front of her the left out slightly further than the right. She glared at him daring him to try and attack. the man suddenly pulled out switch blade and changed at her. Nami’s eyes widened as she side stepped it and was about to send a blow to the back of his neck when he rolled forward and away from her. he stood again holding the knife out in front of him, a dark smile on his face. Nami gulped, this guy was pro, the way he stood and how he held the knife gave that away, she had been lucky enough to catch the other two guys off guard but this guy was more than ready for her. Nami knew that in this situation her best chance was to run. So that’s what she did. She ran at him dodging the knife by moving under his arm she grabbed it and used his momentum to hip toss him, while he was on the ground she took off running for the hotel door. Half way there she could hear his heavy footsteps as he came after her, panic rose, he was closing in, the door was mere yards away but from the sound of it he would reach her before she reached it, and large privacy bushes destroyed any hope of someone spotting her and coming to her aid. But wait… maybe she would make I, t the door was so close, if she just opened it and screamed inside… her fingers grazed the metal bar then she saw white. He had grabbed on of the safety inner tubes with the rope connected and used it as a lasso throwing it so that it flew down over her head he yanked back on the rope so that the inner tube grabbed her by the neck and pulled her back onto the cement. Nami felt her back hit the cement hard, it was painful but the inner tube protected her head. She opened her eyes to see him standing above her with a sleazy grin. “Now should I just stab you over and over again? Or carve into little designs into you first?” he asked licking his lips as if he was looking down at some sort of dessert. |

Lost Himself

Kuro exploded through the lobby, people yelling at him angrily as he ran towards the pool area. His eyes blazed with fury, an aura of darkness surrounding him. In his wake, surprised people merely watched him for a second before going back to what they were doing. No one stopped to wonder if maybe someone was in trouble or even pursue the man, after all this was New York, no one cared about anyone else they didn't know.
All was silent for a second, until the door Nami was about to reach shuddered violently, the metal screaming as it started to bend from some unknown force. The man with the switchblade only had a second to stare at the door stupidly before it exploded inward, slamming into him and knocking him sideways. The man shook his head as he kneeled on the ground, wiping blood from his mouth. The door had merely grazed him, and he was a seasoned proffesional, it would take more than that to take him out. It seemed like this man, unlike his companions, would not be so easy to take down. In the twisted wreckage of the doorway, an inhuman demon stared silently into the room. Kuro's hair was jet black, seeming to crawl over his scalp in the lighting of the pool. His face was twisted into an almost inhuman look, barely recognizeable as the man known as Kuro. His eyes were inky black pools of death, scanning the room like the Reaper himself. Kuro's now claw-like hands flexed and unflexed, the sound of knuckles popping echoing across the silent pool area. The man with the knife wavered for a second, not knowing what confronted him now. To his credit, it was amazing that the man could even look at Kuro, considering that many men seeing this same sight had run in fear at first glance. Kuro was now gone, replaced by the beast inside of him, wholly consumed by rage. An evil chuckle echoed across the pool room, seeming to come from every direction, building into an outright laugh from Kuro's mouth. The insane laughter died out and Kuro slowly walked towards the man, stepping over Nami, like a lion stalking his prey. The man cried out, jumping off the ground and diving at Kuro with the knife clutched in his hands. The knife buried itself solidly in Kuro's chest, quivering slightly as the man gasped, staring up into Kuro's face. He hadn't even bothered deflecting the weapon, as the beast couldn't care less about a wound that wasn't fatal. After all, in the past it had taken on at leats 50 members of Wo Shing at once, all armed with guns, including Eiji, Amaya, Seth, and various others, and had only been stopped after it was shot numerous times, electrocuted, and they still had to use sedatives to make the beast go under. He had killed nearly everyone there that day. Kuro reached out calmly, a dark, toothy smile on his face, as he grabbed the man on either side of his head. The man screamed and threw himself backwards, the two of them landing with a large splash in the pool. From Nami's vision, all she would see is a large amount of thrashing water, the dark chuckle resounding through the room. Inhuman screams, silenced briefly now and then by the man going under the water, ripped through the empty pool room. After awhile, the thrashing subsided, and a large amount of red inky liquid permeated through the pool. Eventually the thrashing stopped altogether, the surface of the pool clouded red. A dismembered hand surfaced the pool and floated slowly towards the pool filters, the pool obliviously cleaning up the mess the best it could. Nothing moved for a second, until Kuro's head slowly broke the surface of the water. The bloodied water dripped from his hair, now showing white, stained lightly red. His eyes were vacant, and he slowly walked up the steps of the pool and towards the exit. The knife had fallen out of his wound, but it oozed blood visibly as he walked. Kuro walked towards the showers, going in the room and shutting the door behind him. Miraculously, it seemed that no one came to investigate, either because they hadn't heard, or were sitting in their room in terror, huddled under their blankets. Kuro exited the showers in under a minute, the blood washed off of his hair and clothes. He hadn't even bothered undressing, and only took a moment to grab a nearby towel, drying his face and cinching it around his wound. His skin was pale from blood loss, but he reached over and grabbed Nami's phone, punching in a number as he walked. "We've been spotted, mission aborted for now. Requesting travel and accomodations to next target location, Los Angeles, California. Please include medical supplies, food, clothing for both of us, and a discreet car," Kuro said quietly, grabbing Namida by the arm. He hung up the phone and shoved it into her hands, walking out of the pool room and through the hotel towards the lobby. Not even bothering to change, and ignoring the curious stares leveled in his direction by the few patrons, he walked smoothly out the door towards the valet area. The car that drove up a few minutes later made him nearly fall over in surprise. A large man in a black suit stepped out, bowing to Kuro. "I apologize, this was the best we could find at such short notice. Mrs. Hongou requested me to respectfully tell you, 'You so much as scratch my fucking car, I'll kill you, you damned Japanese dog'". The man didn't even show a hint of emotion, staring straight ahead. ![]() Kuro snarled, knowing he didn't have time to complain. Grunting, clutched his side and leaned over, supporting himself lightly on Nami's shoulder for a second. "You drive," he gasped at her, not caring if she knew how or not. She would figure it out extremely fast, or they would wreck, but Kuro was in no condition to drive right now. He threw himself in the back seat, clutching his side, the towel slowly getting stained red. He grabbed a map that looked like it had especially been prepared, showing the route to Los Angeles from New York by road. He tossed it towards the front and grunted one last thing before falling asleep. "Don't even think of stopping at a hospital, the wound will repair itself with time. We have two months until we need to arrive. Don't stop anywhere until we get out of New York City." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Claudia stared out of the airport terminal, her eyes on the two people getting on the plane. It was a shame really, that so many people had to die, but she could have cared less. She prayed silently for the white haired man and the boyish looking girl who boarded the plane, and walked out of the terminal to the waiting car. A man with a dragon tattoo on his hand watched her leave with a dark smile on his face. Standing up, he flipped open his cell phone and spoke quickly in japanese to someone on the other end. Triumphantly, he slammed his cell phone shut and followed her out. The plane lifted up silently in the quiet morning, ascending off of the runway. As the rear wheels lifted off the runway, an explosion practically tore the plane in half, the wreckage spinning crazily across the air field. People screamed from the terminal as Claudia drove away, and the sound of fire trucks and ambulances pealed through the air. |

The desk clerk looked confused as all hell. That wasn’t surprising considering that a bikini clad Asian girl was now supporting a pale looking Asian man and asking in very bad English for a room at his motel. The man handed her a key and named the price, now it was Nami who looked confused as she fished through Kuro’s pockets before pulling out a wallet. She pulled out a hundred and laid it on the desk he took it and opened the register taking out the change, he turned back to hand it to her but the couple was gone. Nami laid Kuro on the bed and sat down beside him quickly unbuttoning his shirt. He seemed to be lingering in and out of consciousness as she coaxed him to sitting position. She removed his jacket and shirt completely before laying him back down. She took a close look at the wound, it didn’t seem to be bleeding any more but it was deep. She quickly threw his shirt on before opening the closet; there she found some spare sheets for the bed. She quickly searched Kuro’s coat again, in and inside pocket she found a knife secretly tucked away. The sound of tearing cloth filled the room as Nami quickly made herself a make shift skirt; completely forgetting Kuro had requested all the supplies they would need be supplied with the car. She sat next to Kuro again and checked his breathing and pulse. He was still alive. “Kuro, Kuro” she said patting the side of his face trying to bring him back to consciousness. “I’m going to the store across the street I’ll be right back do not move from here.” She said loudly and clearly though he probably couldn’t hear her anyways. With that she left the room and dashed across the small highway to a convenience store on the other side. She laws lucky enough to find a small portable first aid kit for sale, she grabbed it and several bottles of water and a large thing of a blue colored hydrating sports drink. She paid the man and ran back to the motel. The clerk only gave her another questioning glance as she ran into the back hall turning her key in the lock of room 13. She quickly got to work first washing her hands thoroughly. She then took all the towels in the room and laid them around him on the bed, Kuro had lost consciousness by then. She looked around and sighed a bit, the next part was gonna be hard. She took the remainder of the ripped up sheet and tore it into long strips. She braided them together to form a sort of rope. She ten repeated the process with four pillow cases. Once she was done she walked back to the bed, gently she used the four smaller ‘ropes’ to bind his arms and legs to the metal bed posts. She tugged on the binds making sure they were tied nice and tight. She then took the long rope and draped it across bed; carefully she pried Kuro’s mouth open and gently pushed it inside. She lay on the ground beside the bed and tied the ‘rope’ onto the metal frame below the mattress on either side of the bed. After she was satisfied he wouldn’t be able to make any sudden movements she picked up the first aid kit and set it beside him. She pulled a tall standing lamp over to the bed and plugged it in. Using some medical tap she adjusted the lamp shade so that the light shown directly onto Kuro’s chest. She removed her makeshift skirt and tore it again, creating a long thin strip of cloth to keep her hair out of her face, and another big one to cover her mouth and nose before finally rolled up the sleeves of the over sized shirt she wore. After taking and abundance of germ killer to her hands she climbed up onto the bed sitting beside him her hip against the bottom of his ribs. She pulled out a bottle of alcohol, some swabs and got to work disinfecting the wound. It took some time but finally she got the wound clean, now all she had to do was close it. Inside the first aid kit was a disinfect needle and some medical thread. She readied the needle and thread and leaned over the wound in Kuro’s chest. ‘Please don’t wake up….’ She thought as she slowly pushed the needle into his skin. |

Kuro's eyes shot open, a grunt escaping his lips as the needle pierced his skin. His arms and legs instinctively jerked, but were trapped tight by the cloth. The pain cleared his mind, and he was able to see that Nami was suturing his wound. Kuro calmed down, trying to relax as the needle pierced his skin over and over again around the wound. He tried focusing his attention elsewhere, staring at Nami's back, trying to take his mind off of the task at hand. His eyes followed every drop of sweat, every hair blown slightly by the tepid air moving through the room, and before he realized it, she had pulled tight on the thread, illiciting a sharp gasp from him once more, and his arms and legs flinched once more. Kuro spit out the gag in his mouth and cursed loudly. "Thirsty," he gasped. He stared at her for a second, gathering his breath shakily. "You know, me tied up like this, and you dressed like that, if it wasn't for the pain I would have thought I was in heaven," he said, laughing lightly, then grimacing from the motion on his chest. Kuro gasped for breath once more and jerked his hands against the cloth tieing him to the bed. "You can untie me now, that is unless you want to continue your patient care.." he said wistfully. He had to admit, this wasn't the worst situation he had ever been in. |

Nami was too focused on her task to realize kuro had woken up. She finally pulled the thread tight and tied it. As she was cleaning up she heard kuro speak.
She jumped surprised by his sudden voice; maybe her gag hadn’t been as tight as she thought. She turned to look at him; she was sweating and felt very dirty at the moment not what she pictured heaven to look like. She sighed tossing the used medical equipment into the trash. She walked into the bathroom for a few minutes; the sound of running water could be heard. She walked out a second later with a damp rage and a bottle of water in her hand. She set the two things down on a night stand table and quickly untied his arms then legs, she then took the knife and cut the make shift rope she had used to hold his head down. “Careful” she said helping him sit up before sitting down next to him the bottle of water and the cloth. She open the bottle and handed it to him looking him over once. “Sorry it’s so hot in here… there’s no air conditioning” she said using the cool cloth to wipe down his neck and shoulders. “But I figured a motel like this would be the only place where they wouldn’t ask questions.” She sighed pulling the make shift hair band off her head letting her hair fall loose, it had gotten a bit longer in the recent months and the bottom layers could now barely reach her shoulders. She had also gained a bit of weight as well; although still petite she was no longer scrawny. her breathing was somewhat heavy as she unbuttoned the first four buttons of the shirt. "what do we do now?" she asked taking another water bottle and using it to re-dampen the cloth before pressing it against her own neck. |

Several things popped into Kuro's head at that comment, none of them appropriate for the situation. He buried those thoughts, as per their agreement before. Kuro sighed and leaned back on the pillow, letting some strength get back into him. He was still feeling extremely weak, and he knew he would have to sleep soon, and for a long time. Reaching up, he brushed his hand through her hair, and looked her bikini clad body over for a minute. "At this rate, you won't be able to pass off as a boy much longer, no matter what you wear," he said quietly. Dropping his hand, he closed his eyes for a minute. "We should leave here after getting cleaned up and changed, I can rest in the car. We should wait until I heal up a bit before going to Los Angeles. I'de rather be on top of my game in case we get attacked again. Have anywhere you want to visit? We have two months before the target will be in Los Angeles again, and he'll be there for a few months, we can take our time. The Hongou's gave us a year to do the job anyway, it will take the other organization time to rally enough supporters to be a threat." Kuro struggled to sit up, his arm around Nami. "I need to get cleaned up. If it won't bother you, I could use your help," he said to her with a neutral face. "Don't worry, I won't attack you, and I think you could beat me like this pretty easily anyway. If it will bother you, just help me to the bathroom, I'll do it myself." Kuro had no thoughts of doing anything dirty to her, especially considering the amount of pain he was in right now and the amount of blood and sweat all over the two of them. "You can get cleaned up afterwards, I just want to get cleaned up before I fall asleep. Once I fall asleep it will be hard to wake me up for awhile, and I don't want to be in this shit hole where I could get an infection." Kuro struggled to get to his feet, intending to get cleaned up, get changed, and then crawl in the back seat of the car and pass out for awhile. The interior of the car had to be 100 times cleaner than this place. He looked around for clothes, and noticed the crappy first aid kit. Kuro failed to stand up, too weak, and sat back roughly on the bed, gasping from the sharp pain in his side. "FUCK!" he said loudly from between his clenched teeth. He wished the beast would help him right about now, but the thing was silent in his mind, basking in the happiness of being able to get free not long ago. It would be awhile before it would hear Kuro or care enough to come out. "Why didn't you use the things they prepared? I doubt they would have given us a crappy first aid kit like that. Go look in the trunk, there should be whatever supplies we need in there, I asked them to pack them for us. I'll wait here til you get back. Make sure to grab me something to wear, and something for yourself too. Try to be quick, I don't think you could move me if I fall asleep here," he said between clenched teeth. His eyes were squinted shut as he focused on pushing the pain away. He would kill for a cigarette right about now. |

Nami quickly did as she was told getting everything that was need from the car. she found some painkillers in the first aid kit and gave them to Kuro to swallow. "ne, Kuro-san..." Nami said blushing a bit, "I'll help you wash off." she said her voice barely above a whisper as she wondered if months of work were about to go down the drain. she helped him up and into the bathroom before helping him settle down o the side of the tub. she then began to run the bathwater, she took the shirt off and tossed it aside. "you don't mind if i just bathe too do you? I mean you've already seen so it shouldn't be a big deal any ways." she waited a minute for him to respond before walking back into the main part of the room to grab clothes that Claudia had left them. Nami sighed as put aside a black pleated skirt that seemed a bit short for complete comfort and a light pink tank top. of course Claudia would try to put Nami is something feminine. Kuro seemed to have more luck as Nami pulled out a pair of tan cargo shorts for him and a simple white short sleeve shirt that buttoned up in the front. it wasn't even an hour later till they were getting dressed in their new clothes, Nami had Kuro sit on the bed so she could wind a bandage around his chest before he put on his shirt. "after this i think we should drive for a few more hours then stop again at a nicer hotel so you can get some bed rest, what do you think?" she asked wrapping the bandage around his torso. |

Lost Himself

Kuro's eyes started closing of their own accord after he took the painkiller. He didn't even hear her ask him the question, it was all he could do to fight off the sleep. He vaguely felt Nami's hands washing him off, but the darkness was getting closer and closer. Kuro had lost a lot of blood, and he would need to rest soon to replenish his supply. His vision started blurring slightly, and his senses were getting visibly duller. He grunted as they got out of the bath, latching on to Nami. In the back of his mind, he thought of what a shame it was he could barely move right now, looking down at her. Of course he wasn't exactly 'used' to her naked body, it still evoked certain thoughts. Unfortunately, he couldn't even manage to speak right now, so he merely struggled his way back to the bed, sitting down. He let his head droop down onto his chest while she wrapped his chest, his arm over her shoulders to help keep him upright. The painkiller was starting to kick in now, and he could feel himself dropping farther into the darkness. As he started to fall asleep, he started to lean more and more on Nami, and he felt her start to give way from his weight. From within, the beast snarled and 'bit' his mind figuratively, somehow causing pain to lance through his head. Kuro's eyes shot open and he pulled himself back upright, shaking his head. The weariness was gone for a few seconds, but it was merely waiting for the right opportunity to sneak up on him again. The beast slid past his conscious, shoving him down into the depths of his own mind while he was disoriented.
"We need to go now, Kuro can rest in the car like the dog he is," the beast said with Kuro's voice. Briefly Kuro wondered why the beast had decided to come out on its own, but he put the thought aside for now. It wasn't the time to be asking questions like that, he had more important things to deal with and he was grateful to the beast. The beast merely sent one thought at him, stinging his pride. 'Wimp.' Kuro's eyes were dark from the beasts influence as he stood up slowly, walking on his own out the door. The beast grabbed their bag of belongings and went to the trunk, flipping it open. Throwing their stuff inside, he looked back at the hotel room and Nami. "You going to live your entire life with someone else protecting you? Although I'm sure Kuro would love that, why don't you try standing on your own feet and use your own strength for a change. Otherwise you'll almways be standing in someone else's shadow, never seeing the light. We'll talk again soon," the beast said quietly, slipping back into Kuro's consciousness. Kuro resurfaced with a gasp, as if he was coming up for air in a pool. His vision was swimming, his mind hazy as he tried to focus on something. He briefly heard Namida in the distance, as if she was on the other side of a large wall. His fingers fumbled for the car door, and he somehow managed to get it open as he half slid, half fell into the back seat. "I'm putting my life in your hands," he mumbled uncharacteristically, falling down on the back car seat with a grunt and immediately passing out. It would be next to impossible to wake him up for awhile, wherever Nami decided to go next was up to her. Edited by Kuro-san, Feb 18 2009, 09:30 AM.
