Asmodeus stared at the door way to the Otaku Kingdom. Otaku was a derisive term used for people with too much free time, right? And Asmodeus had way to much free time and loved to be derisive to others.. So it only made sense. Besides, he had just gotten paid for a job dressed as a telephone for a cellular company and it was all profit.. He glanced around a bit and leaned forward walking into the building casually, not really concerned about being seen going in, more just concerned with people bothering him. He glanced to one side. Shounen..? Boys..? And the other side.. Shoujo.. Girls..? he blinked. Why was it divided into boys and girls? That didn't make any sense. He walked over to the first shelf he saw, taking a book off a shelf and flipping it open to spy an annoyed looking guy being mean to a crying girl. "Ffft.. I like this guy.." He mumbled to himself, walking over to a chair and sitting down. Starting from the first page... And uh... Hours passed.. "Cheh! Annoying! If he's so stupidly in love with her he should he just admit it? Man it's annoying!" He said flipping the page. "... man! That kind of denseness is just pathetic.." Several people had been looking at him, yelling at the book without any sort of shame. He stood, looking at his stack of book with a frown. "If I buy.. the next two.. I'll probably get to the last part.." He though chewing his fingernail annoyed. "Well... I should at least see how it ends.." He said going to the shelf and finding the next two. |

The Otaku Kingdom. This was a place Jun had never even thought of stepping foot into before for a few reasons. Sure, she could admit that she was a bit of an anime fan during her spare time.. but there was the fact that random otaku invariably bothered her whenever she got anywhere near the place, comparing the tall girl to some anime character or another... or just drooling because a decent looking female had entered a 100 meter radius of them. Now that she thought about it, she could probably get a job there very easily as a cosplay model, but the last thing she wanted was to have people staring at her and asking to take pictures all day long. Anyway, today she figured it was finally time to walk inside and actually see what this place was like on thie inside. She walked in dressed rather plainly, wearing a plan t-shirt and jeans combo with flat shoes so as not to draw any attention to herself... and it seemed to be working for the most part. Or maybe that was just because everyone seemed to be distracted by another figure in the store; a guy sitting there talking to a book in his hand. Jun had to admit she was surprised people actually found that wierd in a place like this... until of course she noticed what exactly it was he was looking at. He's reading... a girl's manga...? Puzzled, Jun couldn't help but want to get a closer look just to make sure her eyes weren't fooling her. She calmly walked toward the section he was standing, careful not to attract too much attention to herself... though he was bound to notice the looming figure coming toward him. |

Satsuki entered the store, wearing a simple yellow dress. She had read about this place in a newspaper she picked up, and so she had come by to see what it was like as well as to get a better idea of what the city was like. And to see if they had any job openings available, as she really needed a source of income soon before she ran out of money to buy her meals. The vampire girl would also like to find someone she could drink from, but first she would need to explain to someone her situation... She then saw the boy she had helped out a few days ago. He seemed to be looking for a manga. There was also someone very tall near him, easily dwarfing others in the store, despite her attempt to look somewhat plain. As she wanted to become better friends with Asmodeus, she walked over to him and spoke up. "Ah, Deus-kun! How was the soup I left behind for you? And what's that you are getting? With how bare your room was, I'm surprised that you are into this kind of thing." She asked him, smiling brightly despite the fact that she was the one who made him ill last time and forced him to take her to his room so she could fix him soup. |

Asmodeus twitched. He felt a presence around him that was familiar. However as he turned around to look for it he saw a girl that somehow manged to dwarf even the tall foreigner in size! It was as if he had honestly met an ogre! She had to be at least six foot and a half! It was absurd right?! Wasn't that right?! This kind of tallness for a girl in Japan, no.. the world! It was the kind of things you only heard about in a fairytale! She was an oni come to harass the villagers! He was so shocked by her height that when Satsuki popped up he was grateful. "Satsuki-Chan!" He said quickly trying to strike up conversation so that the ogre would not try to plunder his village.. Wait.. He was going to talk to a vampire to get away from a demon?! He blinked. What kind of mad town did he live in. He backed away from Satsuki. "The soup was awful!" He lied, blatantly. He had savored it with tear filled eyes. It's last bowl had been a ceremony. He had prayed for it's safe passage to heaven. EVEN SO! "Ah.. What am I..?" He did something very unlike him and blushed a bit hiding it behind his back. "Ch-Chotto Matte.. Ah.. It's nothing. .A guide to cooking rice." IN A MANGA STORE?! HOW DID THAT MAKE SENSE?! "In.. manga..." THAT WAS EVEN DUMBER! |

Well, so much for not drawing any attention to herself. The look on the guys face when he finally noticed her said more than words ever could; he was just as freaked out as she would have expected him to be. Hell, he was pretty tall himself, well over six feet... but she still made him look pretty small regardless. Jun blinked, wondering if he was going to run screaming or something as they shared a look for a moment before he turned and talked to someone else who had shown up... a much shorter girl in a bright yellow dress. The two seemed to completely ignore the looming figure after that; so much so that the guy had hid his manga behind his back, making it perfectly visible to Jun. She bent over slightly, looking down at the pink-tinted color of the book he held in his hands. "Isn't this a girl's romance manga...?" Jun asked aloud to herself, "It's hardly a rice cookbook. I didn't think guys read these things..." |

"Ah, I'm sorry... I guess it wasn't as good in leftover form." Satsuki apologized to Deus, bowing slightly. She was certain she had stored it correctly and left behind a note on how to properly prepare it. Maybe he had not seen the note, or accidentally threw it away. There could have been some problem with storing it, as she wasn't fully familiar with how his kitchen worked. And then the giant ogre nearby bent towards both of them, causing Satsuki to back up some, wondering if she had upset this person. This very tall woman seemed more interested in Deus though. To be more specific, she looked like she was trying to see what he was hiding. She then announced out about how it was a romance manga and that she thought guys weren't into that kind of thing. "Deus-san, it's alright if you like romance manga. I knew some guys back in middle school who would send me into stores to buy volumes for them. You don't have to lie or try to hide it from me." She told him, smiling cheerfully, thinking that he was just shy and embarrassed that she now knew one of his secrets. |

DOUBLE TEAMED BY AN OGRE AND A VAMPIRE! Deus backed away from bot of them. Moving and holding the book behind his back still. "I-It's not like I was reading it.. It's.." He was lying and already had been caught. He just needed to use his 'cool factor' to get over it. That's right! Whenever he wanted ot get sometihgn from a girl hwe had a secret weapon! Havign been born blessed with a gift of a handsome face he could instantly pierce ito a girl's heart with hisa secret technique 'killer smile'. He sighed, standing to his full height, holding the book in his left hand with his blue eyes cast down towards it. If this had been a scene in one of those books sparkles of flowers would surround him as he put on his most charming face. ![]() "The truth is.. my mom.. She.. She likes these books a lot. And being as sick as she always is I though that maybe this would brighten her day.." He glanced at them with a small smile. "It's stupid, right?" He said softly. However his mind was actually completely different than this charming persona he had put forth. 'Hahahah! A handsome guy smiles at you with these beautiful blue eyes! Any woman's heart should beware! It's annoying how simple it is!' |

Well, now Jun knew what she looked like when she was trying to avoid being the center of attention. It seemed like whoever this guy was, he was pretty dead set on convincing the two girls that he was not reading that book... even though it was blatantly obvious at this point. It seemed, though, that this guy had something up his sleeve; when he stood up, Jun straightened up too, so she was looking down at him again. When he smiled, Jun couldn't help but blush a little bit. He was an attractive guy when he smiled like that... but after a second her eyebrow instintively... slowly... raised itself. Jun had never been one to trust in a pretty face just for it's own sake... even if it took her a moment to realize it was happening. "So, let me guess; you were just previewing it for her and roleplaying her reaction to it back there?" she said after a moment of silence, a small smirk of her own appearing on her face. |

"You are so nice, Deus-san! Caring so much for your mother even while you are living away from home, alone. If only more people were as appreciative of their parents and family as you are..." Satsuki exclaimed, seemingly quite joyful at this new fragment of his personality. "You live so sparsely so you can afford to send her items to help her get better... You are such a good person, Deus-san..." She looked like she was almost in tears from such a moving story, having been easily manipulated by his words, instead of his charming appearance. She was easily moved by such stories, as she cared greatly about her parents as well, and did her best to send letters back to them at least once a week, to update them on as much of her situation as she could tell them. |

ONCE AGAIN A ONE-TWO KNOCK OUT FROM THE OGRE AND VAMPIRE. Asmodeus was practically hit in the stomach the way he deflated as soon as Jun mentioned 'role playing it out' So the ogre had seen him acting like an idiot earlier eh?! No way! His luck really was the worst. This is what he gets for being stupid around people. And normally it wouldn't matter if he'd just owned up to it at first but he'd denied it and lied and so now he'd made it even more embarrassing to admit it when ogre had pinned him into a corner with such a comment.. And while this was happening Satsuki was gushing out about his actions to the point where even his lie became an embarrassing scenario. "Ch-chotto matte yo.." He said to the two backing up a bit. Taking a breath, "I am.. " He took the book and placed it on the counter. "As if I even need to explain myself to an ogre!" He said with a huff. Puffing out his cheeks in exasperation. .. .Wait.. Did he say 'ogre' or 'you'.. He said 'I don't need to explain myself to you' right? ...Cheh! He'd slipped! He quickly glanced to her, hoping she hadn't heard. 'Kami-sama.. spare me.. I don't want any broken bones..' |

Jun looked at the other girl as she seemed to completely bought this guy's story hook line and sinker. It was amazing sometimes just how gullible people could be these days. Maybe that was how players managed to keep so many girls at the same time... either that or they only hung around people who were delusional. At any rate, it seemed like he finally realized his lies were backfiring on him; she had to admit it was a little amusing to see someone else squirming from attention rather than herself as was usually the case. Well, she'd had her fun, so she'd let him off easy; he'd probably come up with some other excuse and she'd leave it at that. Besides, she didn't really know the guy anyway so what did she care what he did and didn't read? She smirked a little... "As if I even need to explain myself to an ogre!" ...and then it dropped. Just as quickly as it had come, that small trace of a smile disappeared off the face of the planet just as if it had been sucked into the infinite void of a black hole... never too be seen again. Let's just say... Dues was lucky Jun didn't always have powers... Just as quickly as he had let that comment slip out, Jun lifted her arm and found a conviniently placed hardcover book on the shelf, which she proceeded to swing in his direction, aiming right for his left cheek. "Asshole," was all she said. |

Fortunately for Deus, the book was stopped by Satsuki's hand. As they were indoors and mostly away from the sunlight, she was easily able to grab the book with her hand. She then let go of it after having stopped the attack, hoping that no more will come. "Please don't hurt Deus-san. I bet he's just embarrassed and got confused, and he didn't mean for it to come out like that.. He's a somewhat nice person... And it's not right to cause a disturbance here..." She told the giant Jun, trying to keep her from starting a fight here in this place. And from harming Deus, as he was her first friend here who was still around. She then looked around slightly, hoping that no one around was bothered by the three of them. At least she had made a good decision coming here, so that she could help her friend out. And possibly fix a misunderstanding that could result in Deus and herself getting a new friend in this girl. |

"Cheh.." He glanced to the side. "Man..." He leaned forward a bit. Thankful that she had stopped the book. This time Satsuki had really saved him. So for once he owed her one. Normally he might snark at the girl and be an asshole. But it was clear his comment had gone straight past her defenses and cut to her core. It wasp probably that she had a height complex already since she was so unnaturally tall anyhow. And so this that in mind.. He couldn't be mean. His eyes and height made him stick out and neither of those were as exaggeratedly noticeable as her height. No matter where she went or who she spoke too it was unlikely she'd meet anyone near her size. To bee that obvious all the time had to be a problem. And so even an asshole like Asmodeus knew that it wasn't right to poke at it. He looked down and took a small breath, he already knew that he had to do it. After all, this was part of his 'don't hurt girl's feelings' thing right? Even if she didn't burst into tears like most of the wimpy girls, he'd poked an open wound. "Gomen.." He said in a light voice. However he quickly looked up and made eye contact. Frowning a bit. "I'm Sorry." He repeated looking directly at her instead of away. "That was... A bit much.." He then broke eye contact and looked down, returning to his normal annoyed look. "Even so.. a book is extreme.." He said in a deadpan. |

Deus was very fortunate indeed; that book would have done some serious damage with the anger she had put behind it. It was actually something interesting to note that the girl had managed to stop it so easily with the slightest hint of pain... but Jun was too pissed to notice that at the moment. She heaved an angry sigh as she decided against trying to swing the book in his direction again, instead putting it back on its proper shelf and turning her face away with a 'hmph.' Well, at least the jerk had enough sense to actually apologize; that was worth something right? "Even so.. a book is extreme.." Or not... "Just be happy your friend here saved you; it could have been much worse." |

"See? It was just a misunderstanding. We can get along without attacking each other. Deus-san may not seem nice, but I'm sure he means well." She told both of them, smiling, glad that the differences between the two had been settled, or so she thought. She had never realized how strong the blow was, though, having had the more pressing issue of preventing Deus from getting hurt. She was happy that she had found someone else that she could talk to, hopefully, although she was slightly scary due to how tall she was and how easily she resorted to violence... Hopefully she wasn't like that all the time, or else it would get uncomfortable trying to stop her from hitting people. |
