Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Touka Aquila Gender: Female Age: 17 Height: slightly above average Weight: a international secret~ Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() Occupation: Student Grade Level: Second year Powers/ Abilities: Eagle Form: A special ability that every member of the beastkin species possesses. The ability is capable of being separated in many different categories, the primary one being the sort of being they can turn into. Every beastkin has their origin laying in one animal or another. While in the past the knowledge on how to obtain this form was once commonly found across the civilization it has long died down in history and only ancient scrolls containing the teachings of the past are left behind as clues. Small eagle: The most simple to use and a rather harmless form, it involves Touka repeating a old chant she found in the ancient scroll of her village. Once the chant is completed a brown colored circle filled with runes will surround the ground she stands upon and enable Touka to turn into a small ‘lesser’ form of her ancestors. In this form Touka resembles exactly the same eagles that live in the human world so while this form is of great usage to reach from one side to another it is rather disadvantage for combat purposes for its lack of strength. Half beast: The more commonly used transformation the beastkin tend to use in combat. Using the same activation process as turning into a lesser form, Touka surrounds herself in a circle of runes before the transformation starts to take place. From out of her back two giant brown colored wings appear, their sturdiness and strength reminding people of the wings of a eagle. Her body seems to gain a new layer of protection thanks to a newly grown layer of feathers that cover her body like a sort of armor while her nails grow longer, as if to resemble claws. Some people would even go as far as imagining a harpy in her during this form. Monster: Rather a mutation than a transformation the final and most dreaded one in existence would be the monster form. The lore of the beastkin tend to describe this form as the embodiment of a being who lost its soul to being overwhelmed by its own rage, and serves as a reminder for both beastkin and human that those who are unable to control their emotions someday might become a monster themselves. As a monster Touka turns physically entirely into a eagle, the only difference being that the monster’s side is gigantic when compared to other eagles. Inside this form Touka losses any sense of reality or even the ability to possess thought or emotion. The best course of action to take is to stop trying to provoke Touka and do exactly the opposite, try to calm her down for if she remains enraged too long she would end up losing the ability to return into a human form. Details: 2 or 3 posts without any aggressive actions toward Touka are required to bring her back from her rage, once returned into her normal form Touka would be so exhausted she would faint shortly afterwards. Those very close to Touka might find that in their presence the monster version of Touka is more hesitant to strike, this could be a sign that she still retains some of her true self. Crafting: While the Aquila tribe crafts both weapons and armory the methods they use are far different than most people use. Rather than using any sort of material they use the willpower of their soul and embody it into a physical form suiting for the thing they make. While this might look less difficult than the commonly known way of crafting that is entirely the opposite, for the crafter needs to be in a state of very deep concentration during the whole crafting process or flaws would be found in the finishing result, something found very insulting by their beastkin crafters. Touka, being a skilled ‘soul blade’ crafter finds herself more at use by supporting her allies by supplying them with suiting weaponry rather than having herself take part on the battlefield. Natural swordsmanship: A rather strange trait Touka obtained during her childhood and something most Aquila tribe-members share. Their upraising with a weapon has given them such a close connection with their weapon that it became like their own body. While Touka is very skilled at judging the incoming blows of her enemies in close combat, enabling her to dodge or counter rather well she clearly has no unique combat moves available so one could say it’s more of a hobby one is naturally good in like Kendo. Details: On terms of skill Touka’s moves with a sword most likely would be judged as someone trained in Kendo but taking the physical advantages of her beastkin body she is able to take a small stand even against skilled warriors. Body of the Beast: While not as ridiculously powerful as the folktales of people say Beastkin do have a slightly stronger body. Especially males are known to be physically more sturdy and tough than a normal human while females tend to be more agile and have more refined reflexes. Yet this should not be overestimated for even a human can overcome that difference with enough training. To give some statics on Touka one would say that her physical strength would at least be able to make her on par with a human guy of her age, or maybe even a year or two above her while when it comes to speed, (something Touka is gifted in) she is capable of running at least 1 meter in a single minute, something that proves even humans are capable of such feats. Equipment You Have: -Aquila Vesica- One of Touka's first, and in her opinion most beautiful weapon she ever grafted. Carrying the name Aquila Vesica, or eagle blade it's a weapon very suiting for a person like her. The katana, beside seemingly serving as a important memoto of her past it also functions as a main asset in her combat abilities. It is said that this katana wields the eyes of a eagle, able to see the opening of its prey and responding to it, to the point some say that rather fighting against Touka her enemies are fighting against the Aquila Vesica, yet it holds a great weakness for when it's seperated from its creator it becomes just a ordinary weapon. -Soul hammer- Touka's crafting hammer that she uses to create weapons and armory for people, since it would have made too many questions arise if she took it into her dorm she had to be happy with a smaller version, only useable for small weapons or objects. Residency Request: Fudo here~ Schedule: Homeroom: Hiro 1st: Music 2nd: Martial Arts LUNCH 3rd: History Personality Description: If one has to describe Touka from a first experience one would call her rather distant or asocial. She is someone who seems to attempt to avoid any contact with strangers, giving off the feeling that she is terrible distrusting of anything new for her. Yet this doesn’t mean that she is rude or anything of that kind, it’s exactly the opposite for when someone tries to try to strike a conversation with her they are met with a very polite manner of speaking, while clear signs of nervousness like avoiding eye-contact or hastened speech are shown. Still one should not think that this makes up Touka’s entirely personality for the personality of a person is quite deep and complicated, especially when it’s about a girl like Touka… For those who are getting to know Touka better they can clearly see the girl is surprisingly naïve, even for her age. A first impression is extremely important for her and the actions of a individual can have Touka quickly make up a idea about them. This is one of the reasons she prefers to hang around people she finds friendly, playful, calm or any other sort of attribute she associates with a ‘good alignment’ while rude or scary people are the types she would be quickly to avoid, or especially careful around them. When focusing more on Touka one can easily say that in a certain sense she is still exactly like a child. She enjoys wasting her time playing silly games like tag or hide and seek, games she improves in excitement by often adding relative lethal traps, or just enjoying the time to walk around, but the latter one is a bit more boring. Yet she seems to have a more mature side to her also. Maybe it’s because she has gotten to experience a entire new civilization Touka enjoys learning nearly anything new she can get her hands on, to the point it nearly looks like a studying obsession. It is during those feverish studying moments people tend to see a sudden rather serious change in expression. When Touka reads any document involving violence, especially against animals her usual carefree expression sometimes can turn into a deep frown before her eyes narrow to the point they look like the stare of a eagle about to swipe down on her prey, yet that expression disappears as quickly as it appears when she is caught out of her concentration by any distraction. Another rather amusing detail to mention Touka has an eye for detail, especially when it focuses on objects and she has developed the habit of trying to uncover the flaws in nearly any sort of object, especially weapons, armors or interesting looking buildings before cheerfully announcing them loud. Finally Touka does have a rather honor-bound respect for fellow craftsmen. While most humans in the current age have abandoned the ancient arts for technology or other newly developed abilities Touka tries to motivate anyone she meets to pursue their craft and assist them in any way possible, perhaps in the hopes of someday finding a rival in the art of crafting weapons or armory. Personal History: Prologue: The search for evolution. Humans are truly a unusual race in the eyes of other species. Their cultures and habits often are large in amount and in a certain sense might have some similarities to other species their cultures but still they find anything that is different from their own to be strange and unusual. Also humans seem to be one of the species with the hugest greed when it comes to power. Actually that is a rather strange thing because as humanity evolved and developed they actually became considered to be the race with the most influence in the history of our world. Still humans can never stop their urge to obtain more technology and might and continue to delve into undiscovered secrets, some that might better remain hidden. During humanity their rise to power they found and developed many powerful gifts both natural and mystical. Still this seemed to had became the first real border that separated humans as a single group. Some people started to discover and develop special abilities that common sense wouldn’t be able to understand and as the stories of the past learned us those abilities often brought grief and sorrow for those without them couldn’t understand it and tended to put those considered special in a dark spot. Witch hunts, crusades against heretics, so many examples show the ignorance of humans and this might had been the reason that in the present day those with magical abilities tend to hide them, separating a normal culture and one filled with mystical powers, or a magical world as one could describe it. Still this didn’t mean that the normal culture of humans didn’t advance, not at all… New technology had aided humans in obtaining knowledge their ancestors could only dream of and ideals of the past like conquering the ocean and the sky became possible with the discovery of airplanes and ships. Still as time passed it became noticed that both the natural world and the magical started to blend in a very dangerous way. A while ago a group of scientists had decided to spend their time into discovering the truth behind certain myths, especially the ones surrounding the existence of werewolves. To be honest their reason for researching that subject was quite interesting. While many different folktales surround the existence of werewolves the scientists focused on a more important part. How could a ordinary human change into a werewolf, a being that physically in terms was superior than a ordinary human being. Still their methods of researching this were rather cruel… At first they worked together with the government to obtain ‘guests’ who would undergo those experiments. Who exactly those persons were as individuals has been lost in the many records but it became known that often a prisoner who was trialed to the death sentence were send to the laboratory to be the first guinea pigs. The first tests were horrifying… By fusing together the DNA of wolves and the human prisoners it seemed they triggered a hidden link that resulted into the human evolving into another species. Not only did they became taller and studier but their muscles devolved far past the human body their limit, what might had explained the inhuman speed and strength the werewolves their bodies were supposed to have. Not only that but their bodies became covered in a thick fur, most likely to protect them from coldness while they obtained more animalistic features like claws, and a wolf-shaped head. But in the end it seemed that the researchers had made a very fatal mistake. Little did they expect that the experiments would be unable to handle the transformation of their bodies what resulted in their brains malfunctioning, turning them into savage predators who just like any animal tried to escape from their cages. It was truly a scene from a horror movie. The now savage experiments tried to escape, using their monstrous strength to free themselves from their chains before they turned their rage toward those who brought them such a torture. The scientists were brutally slaughtered, the survivors trying to reach saver grounds. From the previously 60 scientists only a mere group of twelve remained, the others all slaughtered before the security forces arrived and eliminated the enraged werewolves. The small handful of scientists had gathered around the table to discuss what could have brought their failure. They certainly had succeeded in creating the werewolves from the old folktales and they had inherited exactly the same brutal strength those monsters possessed but at the same time they had lost any common sense, turning into wild beasts. A long time had passed as the scientists continued their discussing in the faults and flaws of their experiment and finally came to a conclusion. It wasn’t just good enough to force the body of a human and a animal together but rather they needed to had been the same being at birth already. It was a rather cruel twist of fate that one of the scientist his wife had become pregnant and even she, a person who had nothing to do with the wicked experiments became dragged in the scientists their desire to obtain more power and knowledge. What exactly happened to the scientist his wife? There are many theories surrounding her fate but still they all come back at one path. The woman was forced against her will to undergo the experiments the scientists wanted to conduct on her and in the end they had succeeded. The child that was born was healthy boy, acting just like every newborn child but unlike everyone he was not a ordinary child. No- The furry ears on top of his head and the small wagging tail on his back had clearly resounded the birth of a new species, the beastkin… But how came that nobody ever learned about the existence of those half-human and half-animal beings? It was because the scientists, together with some of the people who held the highest political positions around the world who had decided the media or anyone else from sociality should be allowed to know of the beastkin their existence. It was for that reason the scientists had created a giant-dome shaped domain hidden far away from human sociality where they could see the beastkin grow up, but at the same time they could try to improve the success of their experiments even more. For the beastkin this was the beginning of a horrible existence for they lived a life even worse than that of a slave. To see their brothers and sisters or parents and children to be dragged off by those humans just to be used as toys for science and afterwards disposed as trash was enough to make the blood in every beastkin bowl in hatred… Chapter 1: The blockade that hides a world inside a world. Many years had passed after the birth of the first beastkin. How exactly their civilization was brought into rise was a well-kept secret, or maybe they no longer cared about it but each of them knew that it were the humans who made them, or the creators as they called them. Even the creators were amazed as time passed for the giant-dome shaped prison that was made to keep the beastkin trapped had actually changed over the course of time into a entire world for them. Lush forests, tall mountains, clear lakes and warm springs one would barely be able to separate the difference between the world the beastkin lived in and where humans lived in, safe for the fact everyone would agree in the fact that the beastkin world was much more beautiful, thanks to their harmony with nature. When the beastkin started to grow in numbers they slowly started to group themselves into tribes. Those tribes usually were distinctly different in a few things, for example the animal blood that flown in their veins was exactly the same, just like their animalistic features. Indeed just like humans had different nationalities so had the beastkin different tribes for the blood of many different animals was found within their bodies. Each tribe was usually made out of beastkin who shared the same blood. It was rather easy to find out what sort of tribe one encountered for the beastkin of that tribe had distinctive features resembling the nature of the animalistic blood in their veins. Those who possessed feline blood often resembled animals of that sort. Cat-shaped ears and tail, slit-like pupils and a playful nature often where attributes found by those who possessed the blood of a cat while those of a more predator-like nature like a tiger would be larger and more sturdy than others and were natural hunters with their agile bodies and honed senses. Each tribe, having their habits and natures, a purpose that made them a necessary presence for those around them, one could say that each of the tribes contributed to create a whole sociality that strived for peace and prosperity but sadly enough those ideals weren’t destined for them, or at least that was what their creators had decided for them… For a while the beastkin truly lived without any worries or fear, living the way a normal life should have been but that fragile peace was scattered in a brutal way when humans once more entered the world where the beastkin lived. Why exactly did they decide to appear again after such a long time? That question was asked by many of the beastkin but they all agreed that those invaders were truly monsters… Without warning the creators had snatched anyone they wanted, killing those foolish enough to resist, or actually the beastkin had not a chance to resist for their creators wielded weapons that could kill them in the blink of a eye… But even then, in the face of a overwhelming enemy the beastkin had decided to gather their forces together under the leadership of one of their most powerful warriors. Hakouro was a famous warrior from the Aquila tribe, a tribe who once held the blood of the majestic eagles inside their body. Known as honorable and talented fighters the tribesmen had often taken the duty as guardians of the beastkin but also as mediators when there was a conflict between different tribes. Still beside being a powerful warrior he was also a caring father, a duty he felt that came even before his existence as a warrior. One could say that the reason Hakouro took up the fight against his creators because of his pride of a warrior but rather as a worried father who didn’t even wanted to image what fate his wife and child would have to endure if they felt in the hands of the invaders. Still our story wouldn’t focus on the heroic tale of Hakouro and his allies as they tried to drive back the human invaders but about a time that happened afterwards… After a violent conflict that took the lives of many Beastkin they were able to force the humans to retreat and Hakouro, together with the rest of his tribe had build a giant blockade to prevent the invaders from returning. Fifteen years had passed since the emperor’s blockade had been created. Since the only way in and out of the world where beastkin lived was by using a long and dangerous path in a mountain area the Aquila tribe had decided to make the mountains their new territory. Not only was it the perfect place to train their bodies but this way they would be able to keep forever watch over the blockade, to prevent the horrors of the last time when invaders found their way into the beastkin’s world… In the following era of peace time didn’t came to a halt and just as warriors became older as time passed so did the children grew up, and among those children was a young girl named Touka. The Aquila tribe had always been considered the primary guards of the beastkin so from childhood the members of their tribe were trained in the arts of fighting, especially swordsmanship was appreciated and considered a noble path to pursue. Touka herself might had been considered a little strange on that aspect when compared to the others of her tribe. Not only was she basically raised up in a sociality focused on combat but she was the daughter of one of the most promising warriors of the tribe, still Touka had grown up with interests that slowly started to conflict those of her father. Maybe it was thanks to the long period of peace she had grown up in Touka never had found any joy in learning how to fight. Certainly she respected her parents and elders who constantly were training to improve their abilities to protect the tribe but she never really understood why. Would there be anyone who would wish to inflict pain and misery on those around them? Beside the only real conflicts that she knew of only had been petty ones between a few individuals. Also she always imaged those dreadful humans only were substance for nightmares and meant to scare children or something, and if they were real then certainly the blockade would keep them away right? This had made Touka grow up into a young and carefree woman who preferred to have fun with the people around her but at the same time she had one rather silly hobby. There were many different crafts practiced by the beastkin but the one the Aquila were the most famous for certainly was weapon-crafting. Was it a sword, a axe, a lance or even a bow the weapons crafted by the Aquila tribe were known to be of excellent quality and while Touka didn’t like the fight she certainly loved to help out in the smiths. It was indeed quite a rough profession for a woman to pursue but somehow the girl always found joy in pouring her enthusiasm and love into creating weapons, especially the sacred soul blades. While they were called blades those weapons actually came in many different shapes and forms but what was important was the way and reason they were made. Someone once said that a soul blade only can be made for one person and that this is the reason every soul blade was different from each other. The reason behind this was that the blade wasn’t simply crafted from any sort of metal but rather from the emotions and memories of the crafter. While each soul blade certainly looked beautiful and powerful the strength only truly started to surface if it was imbued with the deep emotions that the crafter held for its new owner so they would only craft a weapon for those they truly cared about. The immense love her tribesmen held for the arts of swords fighting so did Touka loved crafting but there would be little time to remain blinded by peace and happiness for soon darkness would look over the sky again… Chapter 2: Flight of the eagle. It is said that nature itself rebelled against the human invaders and that when the beastkin chased them across the mountains that separated their worlds it was thanks to nature that the humans would never be able to enter again for a giant wall made of the strongest stone known to the beastkin had rose within the small valley that had gained the humans entrance into the world of the beastkin. Every since then the giant wall loomed in the sky, for each of the beastkin to see as a memory of the horrible invasion that took place, a memory that slowly started to fade away, but just before it was about to be forgotten a even worse memory would become carved into the minds of the beastkin for eternity… On the age of seventeen Touka still hasn’t changed from the carefree girl she had been her entire life. It was actually common that if one didn’t find her practicing her craft at the smiths that she would have been found playing around with the others at the outskirts of the village and it was on such a common day that her life would be changed forever… Since the summer season always brought pleasant weather the younger villagers of her tribe often went out to play in the fields or play in the woods, for Touka those times often brought her toward the lakes and rivers surrounding her village for fishing was something she always enjoyed. Like usually the daily fishing trip had ended with a playful contest between herself and her friends to see who could caught the most but as evening was about to approach a bad omen was seen by all. While it was only seeable for a moment it was enough for Touka to see, and tremble in a unknown fear at the sight of it. From the giant wall she saw looming in the distance clearly large chunks of earth were falling off. The giant wall, rumored to be made by the strongest stone found in nature, was slowly started to fall apart? Somehow it felt like something terrible was about to happen, a feeling her friends shared for she could hear the suggestion of returning back to the village being agreed by everyone. Once back at the village Touka and the others already found the village haunted by panic and a tense feeling that lingered in the air. They soon discovered that the reason behind this was that a guard was send to the blockade to find out what happened but came back with his body covered in deep, but luckily not fatal with a grave report. Something had blasted a giant hole inside the blockade and a moment later the dreadful creators had appeared, using weird devices to control the bodies of the beastkin guards who were stationed there to turn them against their own brothers and sisters. It truly had been a nightmare turned into harsh reality. As if the return of the brutal creators wasn’t terrifying enough they had obtained the ability to turn their own warriors against them?! How in the world would one be able to defeat such enemies? No victory this time would be impossible, and survival even less… Maybe it was because of the heavily injured scout or the grim news that even made her father shake in anger, something had triggered a switch inside Touka. The usual carefree and playful girl shared the same boiling hatred that started to swell up in her, there had to be something to make those creators pay back, even if it was only to cut them down with her sword, they had to pay for their deeds but to Touka’s annoyance and surprise she was robbed of that chance when her father muttered something to the tribe’s elder who stood beside him and finally nodded toward her. Did he ask the elder for advice or did he gave the elder a order? It was something Touka would never know for the elder had walked toward her and with a expressionless face muttered ‘please come young lady’ and forcefully grabbed her wrist as he dragged her away, the silence following after his words clearly accepting no rejection from her. Why… Why wasn’t she even allowed to fight for the safety of her friends? She clearly knew that once the war would begin it would be a matter of time before those vile creators broke past the beastkin their defenses and the war would be taken from a battlefield between men to a raid against children, women and elderly people. Then at least she should have been allowed to raise her blade to protect those right? Yet she was never granted that right and as the roars of anger filled the sky the young beastkin was dragged away deeper into the wild by her tribe’s elder. Do not be mistaken Touka Aquila, our origin does not lie with the sinful humans but rather with those who once were the rightful rulers of this world, yes we are children of the animals. Those words would still resound in Touka’s mind months after she heard them. Her elder explained that as their civilization prospered they realized that their creators had erected a giant border to prevent them from escaping from the outside world. Why would that be? Was there something else outside that might even make the creators afraid? Maybe… Maybe there were humans who unlike the creators didn’t intent to harm the beastkin? That last thought would serve secretly as a last bastion of hope for the future of Touka herself, and even the entire beastkin civilization. Her father actually had been discussing this theory with the elders of the many tribes for a long time already but many different problems surrounded carrying out a plan to prove the truth of it. First of all the beastkin equally shared a great distrust for the creators and even humans in general but even more to escape from the beastkin world was impossible right? Still now a war was about to break out there was no more time to ponder about such troubles and while the only known exit was blocked by the creators there was another way to freedom… The sky… Actually the name behind her tribe was taken from the Latin word that meant eagle, and what does a eagle have? Wings… Wings that could give her the power to fly and soar across the skies, to obtain freedom and find the power to grant that freedom to her entire race. While most people had already lost the knowledge of the most ancient teachings there were still a few scrolls left that told the beastkin how to obtain the ability to return to their original form and that was the reason the elder had brought Touka to this shrine. Was it the direness of this situation or rather the feeling of having obtained a purpose, it made Touka realize she had to do everything in her might to succeed in the expectations her elder had set for her and under his guidance she started to read from the ancient scroll of the majestic eagles… Chapter 3: Wings of freedom. The onslaught that was going on even made the most hardened warriors in the beastkin army weep in sorrow. To see the very same friends they had so many memories with to become captured by the creators and armed with demonic devices that took their own will was enough to make the warriors become overwhelmed with furious hatred. How long before they themselves would fall under the invasion of the creators? If they fall then who would protect the younglings left behind in the village? Maybe it was the sight of their leader Hakouro who continued to fight with unending faith, doing his best not to kill his captured friends and to channel his own anger to their masters that gave the soldiers the courage to continue. If they felt nobody would stand between the tribes and the creators so they would make their last stand. It was then a screech that sounded like a thunderous horn-call that shock the foundations of the battlefield itself. As a large shadow slid over the ground the beastkin warriors saw a giant figure soar across the sky. From the first sight one would have called it a giant bird, perhaps even a eagle but then one would be able to understand it was only partly one. While the person had the wings of a majestic eagle the owner of them clearly was a young lady rather than a bird. Adored in a leather armor and a katana in her hands it nearly felt to the beastkin as if she was rallying them to keep their efforts ongoing when they finally realized it. That girl wasn’t going to destroy the creators… No she would soar across the sky across the world in search of people who would listen to her plea for help. Then at least she would have a army that could crush the creators and grant them freedom… With those thoughts in mind all the warriors roared in response, for their victory and the freedom it would bring, but yet Touka would find that finding help from a outside world would be much more difficult than she could ever imagine... RP Sample: The sound of soft steps resounded in the many puddles the long rainstorms of the past season had produced. For the owner of those steps, a foreign girl her surroundings clearly were different than the ones she had been used to back home. She still clearly remembered how easily those rainstorms controlled her people, if even a sign of such a storm appeared everyone was warned to stay inside and strengthen the foundation of their houses, in fear the storm would have been so strong it could have blown away the entire building as easy as that scary wolf blew away the house of those pigs who liked to play rather than listening to their hard-working older pig brother… Actually that child story didn’t make sense at all. While she wasn’t a witness of the tale, nor did she ever meet the wolf in question she never heard of such a thing like a wolf who could blow away a house, actually most normal animals would be unable to blow away a building with only their breath right? It was impossible, even for her, she was a beastkin but she never was able to blow away a house, or rather she wasn’t stupid enough to try to do such a thing. “This must had been what humans means with ‘fiction’ right?” The soft questioning voice of the girl carried a childish nature, as if she was naïve enough to take such a question even serious before all of sudden a small sigh escaped from her lips. The dark brown haired beast girl raised her umbrella above her again as she continued walking across the streets that were filled with people heading from one shop to another, in a attempt to stay out of the rain as long as they could. Truly the way human sociality, or even anything about them in general was so confusing for her, but at the same time it terrified her. She had just moved her to Japan and was able to enroll into a high school that wouldn’t ask too many questions about her purpose or reason, it could be a start in her gathering to find people to rescue her race from the chains of their human creators. Yet she was not at the school yet, she had first needed to buy some goods and supplies for her so called ‘school’ life, supplies that were now slowly getting wet in the soaked plastic bags she was holding in her free hand. Yet the young girl’s mind was focused on a entirely different matter. As she continued walking she started to understand what was making her nervous. Her entire trip was being followed by the curious eyes of the people who passed her, and those eyes somehow felt as intimidating as the eyes of a hungry beast. It reminded her of the stories about the wicked human creators… “Umm- m-miss?” “Kya?!” A small scream of fear escaped from the girl when she suddenly heard a hesitant voice from behind her, accompanied with a small tug on the back of the jacket she was wearing. When she heard her own scream was replied by a soft yelp of surprise from the person who approached her from behind the girl slowly turned around just to see the one responsible for it being a small child. The person, a girl that didn’t even reach to her chest was looking upwards toward the beast girl with wide and curious eyes like she was seeing something out of a fairy tale, a rather pleasant gaze that made the beast girl feel a little nervous so in a attempt to break the silence she was about to ask something, just to have her question answered right at the same time. “Y-yes?” “Are those ears accessories?” Feeling her cheeks suddenly grow warm from a light blush the beast girl felt the ears the child asked about twitch slightly, or rather flap was a better word? The pair of ears resembled two small brown wings were flapping slightly, like the way a dog would wag its tail when it’s exited. While the beast girl didn’t exactly know what to say to the child, or how to correct her misunderstanding she was happy that the child’s question didn’t contain any ill meanings so she smiled brightly in response and answered in a cheerful voice. “Yep~ they are very special ones that only I have~ I call them Touka’s wings~” Hearing that explanation the child laughed gently as she started to shower the beast girl known as Touka with a rain of questions. So it was true… In this world there were different sorts of humans? Not everyone was like those creators? Maybe the future would look a little brighter already then…. Mashed Potatoes? the proof is in the pudding~ Edited by Touka Aquila, Jan 27 2009, 11:26 AM.
