| Twilight deepens to Night as you find yourself on a well-worn path in an ancient wood. Oak, Ash, Thorn, and Rowan surround you. Wisdom lives here for those with eyes to see. You can feel it pressing against your skin, a living entity. You have reached the Heart of the Forest. The trees here tower far taller than Man. Twisted & gnarled by Age and Time. You see a peculiar sight before you, two megalithic stones that form a Gate. Between the pillars stands a pair of wolves. One black as night, the other pale silver of a waxing moon. Their eyes flash emerald & ocean blue respectively. You know them to be more than animal bretheren. They are symbols of an ancient power. Suddenly, from out of the Shadows you hear a rich feminine laugh. A woman walks in your line of sight. She is not what one might expect. Standing at 5' 1" with a curvacious figure. Clothed in a black velvet dress, burgundy velvet, black satin lined cloak & wedged-heel stacks. The full moon breaks from the clouds. Washing her in silver light. Her skin is copper-hued, her eyes honey brown flecked with gold. Her waist length mahogany hair highlighted by copper, gold, red, and blond. She smiles lifting a hand in greeting. "Hail & Welcome, Traveller, to Umbra Nox Noctis." "You have found my haven, my home ." As she speaks a black & russet female falcon lands on a tree branch behind her shoulder. Preening beneath your startled gaze. "I see you have come to the attention of Adahy, Amadahy, & Nahemana." She gestures to the wolves and the femme falcon in turn. You begin to see a pattern emerging, as you ponder this her attention centers on you. "I am known as Draven Angelis the Umbra Domina, Shadowed Mistress here." "Do you dare to become a Seeker?""And learn the secrets herein." With that she fades into the shadows. Leaving you with only silence now. Are You Ready...? |

Rosewood Cottage
Rosewood Cottage is home to the Umbra Domina of Umbra Nox Noctis, Draven Angelis, Priestess of Nyx. A two story home, built of rose-hued cherry wood. A wrap-around railing & deck encompasses the lower level. A stone balcony extends the upper level. The finely carved front door sits betwixt two diamond pane, stained glass windows.
An expansive night-blooming garden. At the epicenter a marble fountain. The Goddess, Nyx with her Consort, Erebus. Each with one hand on the head of a majestic wolf. In spite of it's under-stated appearance, the interior floor plan is expansive to an extent. You may hear the singing of a small pack from the surrounding forest. Or catch sight of one of the alpha pair, a midnight brute with emerald eyes or his lady; a silver femme with ocean blue eyes . These wolves are the Guardians of the Gate. Come to Rosewood Cottage to talk one on one with the Umbra Domina. Send a call on the wind, [PM] her for the pass-key. |
