A light laugh escaped Kendall's throat at the thought of students slipping out in the night. "Oh I am sure that the upper classmen are often out and about the town at night. It is one of the reasons that I recommend to so many of the professors to offer assignments that have the upper years off of campus in the evening." He took another sip of the fizzy water.

"Actually the parents have all agreed to charms being placed on the students so that we do know where they are at all times. Mostly it is also for ensuring they are not participating in activities of an amorous type" Might as well be straight forward with the woman.

"I actually find more time recently for research, and for other pursuits. I also must admit I have more incidences of my professors sneaking out to that night club than I do students." Kendall lightly joked, "So one property locally? Hopefully no one's home that I know." He lifted the knife and placed some sweet pepper spread on the roll.

Brice wasn't usually one to actually go and pick up his own food from the Hovering Snitch, but the night club was surprisingly busy and he hadn't been able to spare someone. Perhaps it was time to think about developing a menu for the club. This was he wouldn't have to leave work, or send one of his employees to pick up food.

Scanning the room, he smirked as he saw a familiar face across the way. She was sitting with Fleetfoot, and he moved a bit closer in time to hear Fleetfoot's statement. So one property locally? Hopefully no one's home that I know. He smirked slightly, wondering if he was the only one in this town with enough sense to recognize her after all this time.

"Enjoying your evening, Headmaster?" he asked when they were close enough. "I believe some of your staff is over at my club celebrating the end of the year. And, I see you're doing some celebrating of your own with the recently returned prodigal of Salem. Lovely to see you again, Fiery."

Kendall's face blanched when Haskin's called the woman who introduced herself as Stryker as Fiery. "Haskins. Less than a leasure as always. I hear that the club is experiencing a rapid growth in attendance. perhaps you should hire one or teo of the recent graduates to add to your staff."

Fiery of all people was back. She had slipped into obscurity nearly ten years ago and he had missed the woman's presence and spirit in the town, well when he wasn't out of his mind in pain over Aiene's departure, and bodily intoxicated.

It had been so long now that he didn't know her, and she wasn't forward enough to be honest and introduce herself as, herself. If he was honest with himself, he would rather have been talking transfiguration with Professor Ramsay.

"Miss Grievance. I seem to have lost my appetite. Perhaps Mister Haskins would be your comapny." He waved to the hostess as he stood. "Give my condolances to Reigel but I won't be eating tonight. It isn't the food, but the atmosphere that seems to have turned my stomach."

Kendall strode from the diningroom with purpose, not looking back. Fiery and Haskins both in Salem could only lead to scheming and trouble for the residents of the school and village. If he was still a drinking man he might have headed to a bar. Only problem was the only bar in town belonged to Haskins.

The owner had indicated that there would be special VIP guests in the room tonight, and that he should prepare the tasting menu of his life!

He had one his best pressed white jacket, the one with the ivory buttons. The crest of Le Cordon Bleu prominent on his right sleeve. His Soux Chef was in charge of the kitchen tonight as he had worked over the stove and ovens preparing exactly as Riegel had asked. The best food he could.

He held the plates containing Seared Sonoma Foie Gras with Mission Fig and Balsamic Reduction, the presentation perfect as he exited the kitchen. He crossed to the table by the window, separated from the rest of the dining room tonight. The woman sitting at the table had a familiar look about her but the man standing was a face he had never seen before. 'Perhaps a culinary critic from Boston?' he thought.

"Madame, Monsieur. Your first course this evening, Seared Sonoma Foie Gras with Mission Fig and Balsamic Reduction. Bon Appetite." He spoke with a french accent, but his English was impeccable.

As he turned away, his jacket revealed his name in script font on the breast "CEC Jacques DeLion"

As luck would have it just as she was about to inform Kendall of what property she was looking into Brice had shown up. She knew he was not going to know she had given a diffrent name then Kendall had known her by. He always shows up at the worst time, she thought to herself as she prayed he did not see them.

She kept her smile in place as she began to open her mouth to Kendall, but alas, as luck would have it. Brice showed up right at the side of the table and actually seemed to exchange pleasantries with the Headmaster. As soon as she looked over to Brice she knew he was going to blow what little cover she had. She waited patiently to let everything backfire in her face. She was not happy already. She would have to keep her little act on if she wanted Kendall to think she was really someone else.

"I believe you.... " she had not even enough time to reply to the implication of her identy because as it would be, kendall took the bait right away. He instead decided that the fact that he were in her presence seemed to make him lose his appetite. She sighed. Keeping herself from rolling herr eyes. She was restraining herself quite nicely she thought. She watched as Kendall stormed off.

She calmly stood up and looked at Brice. She thought she might have a bit of a go at him to see just what kind of a reaction she might insue from him if she gave him the same story that she gave to Kendall. " I assure you sir, that I do not know who you are or whom this woman Fiery is to whom you speak. But I would greatly apprecieate that you could not assume things about someone you know nothing of." She specifically worded things to make herself sound as though she was someone else. She would never have spoken with that manner to anyone. She was not so uptight.

"I am sorry if you were expecting someone else this evening." She continued with a slightly annoyed tone to make it known she was not in a happy state. She glanced at the man now approaching and gave him a light smile while she watched him set food ont he table.

"Oh, no, no, sir... This was meant to be a tasting for the Headmaster. He left just moments before you got here. I can not eat food that was not meant for me. I am sorry." she told him looking at the food he had placed on the table that looked simply delicious. but he was already walking back to the kitchen. She sighed and sat down. "This is not how I had pictured my evening turning out." She muttered as she took a sip of the ice water she had ordered.
