Being the headmaster of the Academy did give Kendall a few extra benefits. One of those was that he could slip away from the school on occasion for a meal. He hated to do this most times, but after a recent encounter with one of his staff, he decided it was time to live a little again.

Tonight found Kendall Fleetfoot waiting to be seated at the Hovering Snitch. It was a wizarding establishment that also catered to the mundanes of the community. He had been looking forward to the meal for the past three days as he had been invited by the owner to sample the dishes of his new Chef.

It was going to be a night to remember.

Sighing as she entered the somewhat familiar inn. She was looking for something to eat. She may have her home back, however that did not mean she was ever really there now days. She had followed someone into the inn. Someone who was clearly muggle. She observed everything around her. She could not break the now consistant habit.

She saw to her dismay that the inn had changed it's dinning habits by seating everyone. She sighed and glanced at the man who was also waiting to be seated. She was about to do one of the possibly worst things a pureblood could imagine doing and pop some rather muggle ear buds into her ears to commence waiting with some nice music. However the man she noted to be waiting caught her attention.

She looked at the back of his head a few minutes wondering why the shape of it seemed kind of familiar. Taking in a deep breath as she found her eyes tracing its shape and then looking at what seemed to be every single hair folicle.

She let her breath out in a deep rush. She figured she did not know who was and took to digging around in her bag to find something to distract her. It never seemed to fail her. Every corner she came around there seemed to be some sort of pugnant forceful memory waiting to pounce on her. She had not thought that her stay in Salem had been that life impacting on her, however she must be wrong. Every single nerve of hers seemed to tingle with anticipation as to what deeply guarded memory would pounce on her at the moment.

Her encounter with Brice with in her first couple of days had rocked her focuse and purpose. She willingly admitted to herself that he made her want to be that sneaky and scheming Fiery she was before she left so suddenly.

She stopped digging feeling a little exasperated. "Excuse me, " she started as she looked up for a moment, with her hand still obviously searching in her bag. " How long have you been waiting? If it is a dreadful long time I think I might be tempted to leave and find dinner else where." She felt her stomache growl slightly and hoped that the man standing near her had not heard that part.

Kendall heard an eloquent voice behind him, and turned to see an equally eloquent woman standing with her hand in her bag. He looked her over from head to toe, and there was something oddly familiar about her.

"Oh only a few minutes. I only arrived just before you." He catalogued her appearance that he might look back and figure who she might be. There were still dark elements in Salem, and he needed to know who may be coming for his school.

"I'm not sure that we have met. I've known most of the residents here in Salem since I reopened the school fourteen years ago." Kendall then bowed slightly. "I'm Headmaster Kendall Fleetfoot, at your service miss???"

Well she was not in complete shock. She had noted the odd shape of his head. She had not thought though that it would be the Headmaster himself. She chuckled to herself. She did not wish for him to hear her giggling at his being so formal. She did note his subtle yet obvious look over. She had not felt as though he had prying eyes though. She knew her look was completely opposite of that which she had when she first cmae to Salem.

She smiled sweetly towards him as she did the same once over he had done to her. The years had been kind to him. As she was sure many women would have noticed as well.

"Oh thank god so the wait is not going to take forever. I am famished. I feel as though I have not had anything for days." She more or less mumbled as she removed her hand from her bag. She straightened herself up and smoothed out her deep blue little dress. She had not always worn such sexy clothing. Once she would have been rather happy and pleased to be wearing a floor length flowing skirt and a tank top.

"Oh I have been in town for a week or more. My name is Stryker Phamin." the Fiery he knew would have felt as though she was being sneaky and felt as though he would think she was plotting something. But this new her, well she felt rather safer telling him her real name rather then the name he knew her by.

"Tis a pleasure to meet you." She added in a slightly softer tone.

He heard the softness change in her voice, which only slightly raised warning bells. Typically a change in attitude meant that either the person recognized him as the Headmaster, or the person was worried that he was working with the Aurors again.

Of course it was possible that she was genuine in that he had been a bit over the top in his introduction.

"Oh new in town then? I might ask then what beings you to Salem?"

The hostess arrived at that point, and asked if the Headmaster was alone this evening. Kendall then turned to Miss Phamin. “Might I inquire? Would you care to join me? I was asked to taste the menu of the new Chef by the owner.”

She reached up and slid her hand through her hair effortlessly. Letting the soft red tendrils fall over herr shoulders. She had never thought about how to answer that question. Why was she in town? What is it that she was going to be doing while she was there? She half heartedly smirked at the thoughts that seemed to scamper through her mind.

"I am just taking care of some family things. Closing up some properties that have been in the family for a while." She told him. It was the most simple of answers that she could convey with a real meaning to it. She surely did not wish to tip him off as to who she really was.

"Well, a chance to sample new food that will be on the menu, how could I possibly pass up such an inviation?" she told him as she answered his inquiry with a timid smile. She figured she might as well be as polite as he was. She was wondering what was going on inside his head. She had not seen him in such a long time that it was easy to fall back into that once routine relationship where she knew almost nothing and he knew everything.

The hostess led them to a table in the dining room, with a view of the pier. This area of the restaurant actually had tables and linens, unlike the bar area where the tables were bare wood.

He was unsure of the true intenstions of this visitor to Salem, and as such rather than offering to seat her himself, he allowed the hostess to assist Miss Phamin. He did however wait until she was seated before sitting himself.

"I have no idea what Riegel has planned for me, well i suppose it is us now, so we will just have to wait and see." Kendall picked up the wine list, knowing that he would not have any. "I can recommend the entire wine list, although I will just have club soda with a lime twist. Oh and some of those warm herb rolls."

She followed along as the hostess led the way to a table. She glanced around as the atmosphere changed from hard wood talble tops to tables covered with a nice white linen and even noticed that some of the tables had a vase of flowers.

"Seems they cater to a variety of clientele here." she said as she slipped into the chair in which the hostess had pulled out for her. It was soft and to herself as if she was making a mental note to remember it for a future refence of some sort.

She watched Kendall as his eyes scanned the menu of wines. She had not had a drink in some time. However the thought of it did not appeal to her at the moment either. She did not want to have a little too much and find herself pooring out information she would rrather not share.

"Oh no thank you. I don't drink. I will take a glass of ice water. It will do me fine. Besides it is getting much warmer as the days go by." She said it with a sweet smile and a inviting tone. She figured it was not going to hurt her to have a little fun flirting with him.

"Well then," offered Kendall. "If your business here in Salem allows, I can recommend seeing the Salem Witches Museum. It always amazes me at the amount of paraphanalia exists for an event that was less then three weeks long."

He wanted to avoid anything personal. It had only been polite to invite the stranger among them to join him. And once the food came they would be dealing with the tasting menu. Small talk was always best, not that he expected to get much information.

"Your family has a number of properties here in Salem then?". he took a sip of the soda. he lime giving it a refreshing edge. But it wasn't the lemonade he had shared a few nights before.

She smilled politely as she picked up the glass of water and took a sip of it. She had not felt so parched in such a long time. Seemed everytime she ran into someone she felt the need to have a stiff drink and have a little poke at them. For some reason she felt that some of the people she once considered friends seemed a little uptight. As though they expected the worst to happen at any moment. But then it seemed like that everywhere she went. It was a vibe people put off without knowing they do so.

"Well it is actually one property in the area. However there are a few in other places. This one just happens to be the top of my list." She told him casually. She relaxed herself and her posture some. She carried herself as if she was old money as muggles called it. She had the ability to be sophisticated yet modern. She didn't have the urge to make someone feel as though she thought she was better then them because of her money.

"Your position at the school as Headmaster, Does it keep you busy much? I imagine you have plenty of instances where kids are sneaking off in the middle of the night." she inquired with a relatively casual tone. She did not want to make him feel like he should be ready to suspect the worst with her. She had recalled how it was when she had first stumbled upon him. Of course she had been younger by ten years then.
