i'm new to the club so i thought perhaps i could start my active involvement by giving a mini report on e street. the weather was perfect all morning and the course was well laid out. there was no dust to speak of and the sand/dirt was about as good as it can get for this riding area. i was in the 1st race and all was fine except far the 20 minute delay waiting for the ambulance to arrive. i did pretty well in my class, sen c + and except for bouncing off a tree and taking a soil sample i wasn't unhappy with my ride. i came from 12th on lap 1 to 4th at the finish an trophied! i walked the track for the next 2 races and helped downed riders and yelled encouragement to the ones i knew. fred got a great start in his race with the holeshot and as far as i could tell held that lead through the 6 or 7 laps i stayed for. the only knocks i had on the whole event were that the course was only 3.5 miles long and the finisher pins were leftovers from a previous event. the turnout looked like they should have been able to afford a specific pin for us. guess we'll look back at this and laugh later . saw some other ruts members out there but they didn't recognize me with my helmet on. i'll reintroduce myself at the march meeting . daveg
