Just transferring to the OOC realm.

Remember the times where kids got up and raced to the dining room just so they could get a hug and kiss from Mother and Father. Each amused and happily loved by the others? Where kids could go outside and fly solo or in groups playing for the day or when they could just go outside in general? Or how about when a child did something bad and the worse punishment they got was either a tap on the behind, finger or two to the backside of a palm, or just a “Don’t do that again.”? And how about when a young one got sick and the parents put all their love into making ‘em feel better any way possible? Me neither, but I’ve heard tales.

It’s said that decades ago a scientist found a way to give abnormal abilities to people. This being deemed ‘super powers’. He took the claim to one of the upper levels in the confidential government. Yeah, me too. I hate secrets. Anyways, nobody believed or expected anything other than some poor sap to get a cold when they agreed to let him demonstrate on three normal human beings. The three were injected with a yellow liquid and set ‘free’.
The scientist said, “We’ll wait a week and you’ll see.” He said, and everyone agreed.

During that week the three were surprised at the rapid change in their bodies and at their new talents.. One, a female, now defines the term ‘hour-glass’ with knockers to suit. She also found out that she could orb items from one destination to the very palms of her hands, or even orb herself to another location. Second, a fat man now fits the slang version of ‘slim-jim’, also finding out that he could orb, but not in the same sense as the female. He could manifest orbs of water in his palms. Lastly, another male now stands as what truly defines ‘Chuck Norris’. His power? Why, strength, of course. The three were pleased and greedily expecting to get injected some more and met back at the same place with the Scientist and the unmentionable select few.

The three demonstrated their powers before the maker and his alliances. Not only were the unmentionables astonished but so was the scientist. Never did he think things would develope this quickly. With this, everyone left and went to a much more private area, one below the ground..

There it’s said that the Scientist and government had arranged an agreement. They were to distribute the product and do the injection for a cost. $1,000,000,000.000. Each injection to be a small amount so no threat would come and if there was it could easily be dealt with. Each profit spent on the unmentionables’ own fantasies and greater multitudes of injections –

The Scientist laughs, watching the very foundations of his plans be put together. With every ‘medicine’ comes its own flaws. Little did everyone that got injected know that they would soon greed for more. And when they couldn’t get any – some means were found to get it. The most common were to kill and lust. Kill a powered being and consume their powers essence. Lust and harbor or even gain newer powers that would one day spawn into a hell hole. The Scientist, aided by the greed’s of man brought hell to Earth and its destruction..

Some decades ago..

I have a dream of a scene between the green hills, clouds pull away, the sunlight’s reveal. People don’t talk about keeping it real. It’s understood that they actually will. Intoxicated and stimulated, staring in the trees paranoid. A land where the sands are made of crushed up wax. And the sky beyond you is crylon blue. – Meanwhile we pick up our arms.

A bum whispers into the wind, “How would you feel if everybody acted like you didn’t exist? You’d lose your grip; eventually flip.”

What’s real is the kids who know something’s wrong. What’s real is the kids who think they don’t belong. What’s real is the kids who are hiding in the shadows waiting for the sun.

So let it be known that the only reason we do this is so that you can get up and play again.

Dedicated to the kids.

Now, we must all realize that there are 6 "Upholders of the Justice", if you will. Of course my character will play as one, leaving room for 5 more. These 6, rather than hunt the hunters due to all the attention it'd bring back on them went into hiding. Solo or paired with companion(s) is totally up to ya'll. However, each one of the Upholders are crested with a <variable> on their body. While the crested <variable> is a must see, for back-up purposes, they also carry a relic. Want more info on the relic, shoot a private message my way as to get details.

As my.. "story-line" stated, this happened decades ago. As to how long is irrelevant - who has time to count that far back to get an accurate account when scavenging for food, shelter, and constantly having to watch your back?

The economy has fallen so much that houses are barely houses and more times than not, a garbage disposal is cozier than trying to sleep in a semi-stable home. However, seeing as how everything started with the government, this also means those within' the government are the elite dogs and don't have to worry about food, shelter, etc as they've 200 miles of Heaven that is heavily guarded on all sides by "super soldiers".

Those outside that 200 miles are hunted like dogs by both government officials and those on their own side. Why? To harvest power. Harvest power? Yes. When you kill a person, a sphere slowly rises from the fallen body and begins its ascent to the sky forever to be lost. However, if the killer or anyone else can get their hands on said sphere then they may consume it; this allows the killer to obtain the victims power. Consummation is done by: Swallowing or pressing through the chest. Swallowing is easier and less time consuming.

Appearance:

Due to <variable> reaction the concept of "normality" and "professionalism" for looking your best are no longer a problem. The <variable> is equally shown amongst "normal" fleshed beings as opposed to those that now seem to have an array of colors, bark(tree), rock formations, scales, horns, slime, or heated flesh. The list is endless

This doesn't mean that everyone has to have rare, or in this case, uncommon "flesh", as you can still remain normal or throw in some spice. Decision is yours, really.

Powers:

Thanks to <variable> all humans are now genetically born with a supernatural ability. Again, the power chosen is up to you. Though at first I'd appreciate it if you'd just have one supernatural power, as I'll explain how to gain others later on. For now, lets just say you need to "eat" something from your dead victim. However, due to the long age duration, I ask that none of you fight a baby. Heed this warning. Otherwise, if your character isn't over the age of 30, then they'll surely die!

Oh, and don't expect to be so great you'll end up destroying the planet. >_> Maybe in time, but not at the start. And, if you plan on twisting and/or contorting space and/or time, best be able to do it without flaw or may be voided.

Age:

Okay, as stated above you might be wondering, "What in the world? Why would I attack a baby and how the hell could one kill me?!"

The power an individual is born with is strongest while under age 3. However, the body is far too small to even begin to try and control the power within'. So, what happens is it lies dormant until age 4, starts occurring at 3, but effectively known about at 4. Now then, how could something that's dormant kill me? If the baby feels threatened(death), say it saw the attack, then a primal instinct charges the release of unknown power. Two outcomes: The infant will either kill the assailant or successfully remove itself from battle. May luck be on your side if you so choose to attack these infants.

Now then, just how exactly is age determined?

Increments of 20. So, if your character is 15, then they will have lived 300 years. So, when I say "age", I'm really referring to your characters physical .. appeal. Huh? Right, at 300(15) years old, you will have the body of a 15 year old. So, take the "age" you want and multiply that by 20.

I wanna be 17.

17x20=340(True age)
340/20=17(Body age)

Hope ya'll could understand this. <_<

As for my character sheet..

Name: Keitaro Inuendi
Alias: Paper
Age: 16 (16x20=320)
Gender: Male

Appearance: Keitaro is nothing more than your average based student when it comes to the body. No muscles, no eye-capturing six-pack, doesn't mean it isn't there. Keitaro doesn't worry much about that. What he does worry about is appearance. His attire must complete each piece above, below or beside it, otherwise it's back to the closet. Keitaro keeps the top of the head perfectly fitted with black hair that's tipped and stripped spaciously with blue. A nice blend really. It works. And what of the eyes? Why, only the finest and most captivating of blue hues - A soft blue-green.

Personality: Why, the sort of kid that likes to have fun, by any means. Childish at most. Though, through his childish antics Keitaro is an excellent listener and when interested in something he'll go to the ends of the Earth to figure or find it out; same thing applied to a want. A desire. Though, he's got a few bad habbits. He's bad with remembering most, if not all things, and he can be looking at you, but not paying any attention. Yeah. You bore him if that happens.

Side: Non-Governmental.

Power: Penmanship. Penmanship?

Info: With a pencil Keitaro is able to bring any drawing outside the paper world into reality, giving it density, texture, and smell - like any other real substance of the same item. And of course, as the creator, he can also destroy anything he's created by erasing it from his tablet.

Current attempt: To draw on thin air as though it were the paper in Keitaro's ageless notebook and bring a more realistic feel to the world of the surreal.

History: Much about talents and past events will unfold during the actual Role-play.

Name: Hikari Yamato
Age: 18 (360)
Gender: Female
Appearance: Even though many consider her to be a bit on the thin side, her body is nicely proportioned, with a bit of an hour-glass. Long black hair graces her head, shoulders and half-way down her back, and the same color is seen in her eyes. Her long slender fingers are usually seen tapping - as if they are playing a piano. She is never seen without her iPod, nor the blue and silver earphones in her ears. Even though she never wears sweaters, her skin is always somewhat colder than normal.
Personality: Open-minded, with a big heart. She cannot hold grudges, but that doesn't mean that it's forgotten. She is a bit childish at heart, so sometimes she does things that are quite unexpected.
Side: Non-governmental
Power(s): Conductor - she is able to control the air flow around her by imagining it in her mind as if she's conducting music. For example: she wants to catch someone from falling, she thinks of a soft peaceful song in her head, "conducts" it with her hands, and the air will flow according to her thoughts, tempo and feelings. Or if she needs to attack, she thinks of a harsh, discordant music, and makes sharp jerky movements with her hands. Likewise, the air around her will become as sharp as knives and cut those that she wishes to cut.

((I hope that this is what you're looking for... Be as picky as you like! I embrace all constructive criticism.))

Totally acceptable! I refrain from giving criticism due to the fact that nobody is perfect and I felt that if I were to give it, then I'd be portraying myself as "perfect" or beyond "average". So, with all due respect and honesty, I found your profile to be well thought out. =]

Tessandra
Member Avatar

Name: Tessandra May
Age: 20 / 400
Gender: Female
Appearance: A healthy glow to her skin, a mass of brown dreadlocks with green flecked wool woven in, with beads and such. Her eyes are hazel and her fringe makes her seem a lot younger than she is. She often kicks about in jeans and strange, patchwork jumpers. She favours steel toe-capped hiking boots and exudes the essence of a world-wise nomad.
Personality: Vivid and eager, everything intrigues her, and she has a very strong moral compass. She is outraged when she finds out what the injections do to people, and sets about finding a way to stop the cravings and/or end the abilities.
Side: Non-governmental
Power: It's a very subtle ability, and she calls it Vigour. Vigour allows her to give energy to anything, whether it be touching a seed to make it grow into full bloom instantly, replenishing other people who have abilities' natural energy, etc. She has endless stamina, and while it doesn't make her any faster or stronger, it means she can go for days without eating and still be healthy. Alone, she would crave the drug, but by giving her energy to another, then absorbing it back, somehow that allows her to keep on going. So her power can not work independently, it needs a subject.
Background: Tessandra grew up in a commune in the countryside. They got their energy from wind turbines and a water mill, and lived very much in harmony with nature. She studied Biology and Sustainable Medicine at University and was strongly opposed to the project. She hates the fact she has the ability but is thankful she can at least use it to help others. However some people are after her as she is an endless source of energy as far as she knows, so she keeps her ability quiet.
