Welcome to the guild hall. This is the grand meeting place for the guilds of Role Play Sanctuary. Within the guild hall there are many things you can do. At the entrance you are greeted and handed a lovely guide for the guild hall.

What is the purpose of a guild?
Here at role play sanctuary we strive to allow role players a place to come together, as well as a place for them to compete. Guilds are a way for you and your friends to gather together and compete against other role players. You can show off your skills in writing competitions, role playing competitions, and many other forms of guild ‘battle’ every time you win a battle you are able to earn your guild points or reputation. You can also merge with other guilds to form alliances or to just become part of a much larger guild.

How do I join or make a guild?
Joining a guild is rather simple. You can click on Preferences at the very top of the site. Inside your profile options you will see a Joinable Group link. That is where you can see a list of available guilds. You can click the join guild link and all you have to do is wait. A guild leader will accept or deny you; they may choose to PM you first and interview you some. It’s all up to the guild owner.

To make a guild you must post a request in the guild hall. In this request you must have at least five members approval (five people must reply saying they wish to join.) You must also put up your guild name and a description of what your guild is for. Then your guild will go public. That means ANY member can join. Once you have enough guild points you will be allowed your own private guild forum and your guild will go private. This means you will be the leader and you will be in charge of who joins the guild and who stays in it. Though, you must be careful with your guild. Each guild forum is password protected. The password can be changed at request. However, this doesn’t stop your members from going Spy on you, and giving out the guild password or information. We could offer more protection, yet it is so much more fun when you have something at risk. This is a fair bit more realistic, as you don’t want to make the wrong people in your guild mad!

There is someone giving out guild information, what do I do?
Someone has gone Spy in your guild eh? You better find out who it is fast, and make sure to request a password change on your forum. You can also put a bounty out on that person. All you have to do is post in the guild hall. Say that your guild has a spy and you are offering points in exchange for their name and proof. If that person is proven to be a spy then you must give the points up to the guild who gave proof (Ex… You offered for 10 points, you give up 10 of your guild’s points) that person will then be marked as a spy for a full week. This means they should not be invited to any new guild! So make sure you pay attention to who you let in!

Why can’t I join a guild?
Chances are, the guild is private and invite only, or they don’t want you in. Some guilds here may be very picky. It’s best to contact the guild leader via PM and ask them why you are unable to join.

What are guild points?
Guild points are collected by all members of a guild. Members earn these points individually. If they are part of more than one guild, they must first state what guild they want to give the points to, then they earn the points. Points can be traded between guilds as well as given away. You can use them to bribe another guild to help you out, or to keep yourself from getting defeated in a battle. The more points your guild has the bigger and better they are. You can also use these guild points to buy cool things for your guild. Custom graphics or member titles and the likes.

Notes on your guild and keeping your guild running.
Once your guild earns 100 points, you go private. This means you get your own password protected forum. If your guild ever drops below 100 points, your leadership can be voted away and someone else appointed. If your group remains below 100 points for 7 days straight, then you loose your private status. You go back to an open guild and anyone will be able to join immediately; this can actually help you get your guild going again. If you stay below 100 points for 14 days straight, you will loose your guild all together.

Point Rewards.
GvS (Guild vs Site): This is a battle against the site as a whole. All guilds are able to join and only staff members are able to make GvS challenges. The reward for this kind of battle will be given to the top three or more (Pending on how many guilds join the challenge.). Ten points are awarded to the winning guilds.
GvG (Guild vs Guild): These battles are made and fought between guilds. The winning guild or guilds receive 20 points for winning these battles. The amount of guilds able to win or enter is up to the challenger. For this to work, entering guilds must tally higher than winning guilds. (GvG means 3 winners or less for every six guilds entering.) GvS differs from this, but that is the only thing allowed to differ. Just keep in mind that if you are confused, 1 winner can come out of every 2 guilds.

How do I loose points?
Points are actually spent, for the most part. On guild items, and on bounties against spies in your guild. You can actually loose points due to actions of those in your guild or by yourself. This does serve as a form of punishment on this site. If you have hired a spy, and were found guilty by evidence, you will lose points. So make sure to trust who you hire!

How do I use and make shops?
It is very simple, see how many points your guild has, then use them on people's shops! People can make their own shops and set their own prices, so be sure to shop around! When you buy an item, you use your guild points and the person getting the points earns them for their guild or may split them among their guilds. If a shop owner doesn't deliver the item in the time you both agree on, report them. They will actually loose guild points for ALL guilds they are in. So be fair everyone!

Good luck everyone, hope you have fun with this!
