For a RP sight, we do not have nearly enough RPs! I have started hosting 2, which anyone can join, yet we need more GMs to start up. If anyone has an idea for a RP, start it. We need to get some of these RPs off the ground. Even the few on here, only two are moving forward. All RP should be getting a new posts. If you are interested in a RP that no one seems to be posting on, just post on it. It will probably give it a jump start! I also ask that those who will no longer participate in a specific role play, please either remove your character from the story in a way players will recognize. Or, you can announce that someone else can take your character over. The same goes for GMs. If you are no longer interested in a RP, appoint a new GM, allowing it to continue. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** GMs should not be afraid to begin their RPs. Even if there are just 2 or three people, it is possible for others to join at different times. I find it helpful (with different RPs I host) to take a day or so break between story parts (like if a ship was in space dock, or at a tavern). That is a great time for new characters to join and old characters to take breaks. As soon as you have a few players take right off. There can be opportunities for new people to join later. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** Also, Recruitment. Don't be afraid to invite new members! If you have any friends that you think might enjoy it, have them join! I was recruited by a friend, Wally Barracks, and have recruited three friends into the sight since then. I am starting a RP with them, which will probably start Monday (cries of the earth). *********************************************************************************************************************************************** Finally, as a quick note, host your RPs in the corresponding section. Also, post the RP thread before it's OoC, that builds hype and allows people to see what they are getting into. It also makes it easier for prospective members to find it. While this is all very true, we also do not want to flood a site with role plays where people cannot possibly play in them all. Personally I would like a few quality role plays that everyone can be active in. Starting role plays little by little. I like what you are trying to do, but I also do not want anyone spreading themselves too thin and making it seem like a job! It is best to make a few posts, or replies, and wait a day to check up on things. We are just getting our feet off the ground so it takes time. As always, it's best to have quality over quantity ^^. |

I agree. I would much rather play great RPs slowly, yet it is hard to convince people to join a RP sight without many RPs. Some people like slow moving, methodical, RPs. Yet, just as many people like fast action RPs. I feel that a good mix can help with recruitment, which will allow for more slow, detailed, RPs to develop. |

I know it's hard to get people to join an RP site without too many RPs on it, but those that care about the quality of the RPs that ARE here will hopefully take the time to see what is here and decide that their joining is worth it. I don't think we should just post a bunch of RPs, anything that comes to our mind, just to get people to join when they see we have a ton of RPs. I think it looks worse to have a ton of RPs with just a few posts each. If people want fast moving RPs, then maybe they can get some friends together to create one if we don't have one already. But, fast moving RPs shun people just as much as slow moving ones. If the same 2 or 3 people are posting back and forth constantly, other people who want to join can't keep up because the next thing they know, there are 2 pages of posts they have to catch up on. We're a baby community that is still growing. All these kinds of RPs will develop with time as friends join and tell friends who tell friends, etc. |

Well, I can bring over some House Chaos exclusives from RPG over to here, as the ridiculous amount of time put into them is wasted on that site and therefore is only for HC members, and I'm sure people here will actually STICK AROUND for a roleplay, for a change. :] Walk-outs kill. |
