Where does it come from—this quest, this need to solve life's mysteries when the simplest of questions can never be answered? Why are we here? What is the soul? Why do we dream? Perhaps we'd be better off not looking at all. Not delving, not yearning. But that's not human nature. Not the human heart. That is not why we are here.

This quest, this need to solve life's mysteries—in the end, what does it matter when the human heart can only find meaning in the smallest of moments? They're here—among us. In the shadows, in the light, everywhere. Do they even know yet?

The following quotes have been taken from Mohinder Suresh, an Indian geneticist. His father, Chandra Suresh, also a geneticist has recently been murdered in New York, where he was working on the evolution of man. He'd told Mohinder of his 'Patient Zero', a man named Sylar, the start of his project. Mohinder travels to New York, to pick up his father's research, and discovers the List, a list that has the names and adresses of all 'evolved' humans. While Mohinder and his newfound friend, Eden, are busy with the list, more and more people are awakening to find their powers. A cheerleader can heal herself from any wound. A mother discovers she has a sinister alter-ego. An Japanese office worker find that he can stop and teleport through time and space. But not all of these people like their abilities. These are their stories.

Also, if this seems intresting to you, the only season of Heroes I haven't seen is season 3, and that's because it's not out in the U.K., but I can explain this to you, because it's set during the events of season 1. You can also find information about the series and that characters at Heroeswiki.com
