This is a roleplay based on the upcoming BioWare title Dragon Age: Origins. I have set it to occur two months after the end of the official game, when the Blight and Darkspawn have been defeated by the Grey Wardens. This time, one of the major characters--in fact, a companion in the game--has gone rogue. She is now considered a hunted apostate by the Circle of Magi for making a pact with a demon in order to learn the art of Blood Magic. She once was a shapeshifter who "never had a friend in her entire life", but she's becoming an entirely different creature! Here are my two characters: NAME: Shakhmaty Cousland GENDER: Female ORIGIN: Human Noble CLASS: Warrior SPECIALIZATION: Dual Wield BIO: Known as simply "the Warden" by some, Shakhmaty has had quite a time trying to deal with the aftermath of the epic battle against the Blight. King Cailan Theirin is still alive, as is his wife Anora. Loghain Mac Tir still lives, as do all the rest of the Warden's companions. However, one has turned traitor to all they've fought for... NAME: Morrigan GENDER: Female ORIGIN: Witch of the Wilds, daughter of Flemeth CLASS: Mage SPECIALIZATION: Blood Magic, formerly Shapeshifting BIO: Raised in the Korcari Wilds, Morrigan found defeating the Blight satisfying, but oddly lacking in ultimate meaning. Her mysterious obsessions with power and even more arcane forms of magic drove her to make a pact with a demon in order to learn the practice of Blood Magic. She knows that the Chantry Templars are hunting her, as they do all apostate mages. However, she does not intend to turn herself in and be burned at the stake. Instead, she intends to build an empire of those who will be loyal to all mages, even against their will as she controls their minds. |
