ooc topic. sedna, a little eight-year-old girl that was enrolled in camp idea since she was born, laid in her bed staring at the ceiling. what to do. she was a victim of serious emotional disturbance, bipolar disorder, and a minor case of schizophrenia. she had always failed her classes, which were very basic to normal eight-year-olds; basic computation [addiction, subtraction, multiplication, division, and irregular operations] and core language skills [phonology, syntax, morphology, and semantics]. nothing came easily to sed. half of it was her disabilities; the other half of it was completely because of her absence of motivation to do anything. sed has come to learn that she has absolutely no hope, and even when she does reach twenty-one in thirteen years, she will most likely die in a year or two due to no aid. it was a wonder that sed could even process this hypothesis, being at such a young age. she stood up and declared that she was thirsty. walking out of her compact room, she waddled over to a water fountain. staring at it blankly for a moment, she wondered how to operate it. mrs. duveax had taught her once, but she seemed to have forgot. after she tried hitting the nozzle a few times, she burst into a temper tantrum. she began to attack the nozzle until her hand started to ache with unbearable pain, and she cried fountains of tears. a team of nurses came over to sed and attempted to comfort her. most attempts failed, but sed kept on wailing. only until mrs. terrence, the head of the retardation apartment, pushed on the button behind the nozzle, did sed stop crying. she didnt smile, but was definitely happy in satisfaction. mrs. terrence kept the button held down, and sed guzzled down at least a pint of water. satisfied, she walked into her room and slammed the door behind her in happiness. the crowd dissipated, returning to their work. |
