-Background: At the heart of the universe exists a planet known as Lunaria. Lunaria was once a lush and fertile planet that produced a variety of life forms. It wasn't until the Great Cataclysm that Lunaria began to fall apart. The wondrous blue sky became that of a dark gray color and the once solid continent broke apart into numerous chunks of land. Amongst the chaos emerged a being of pure evil, pure darkness. This being was known as the Dark King Arturo van Driehal and with him he brought beings known as darknoughts. Ruthless and savage, the darknoughts began spreading chaos and destruction throughout Lunaria under the king's command. Almost 500 years later, Lunaria is now a broken and ravaged planet. Arturo van Driehal, now believed to be a god, has complete control over the planet and it's people. Lunaria is nearly eclipsed in darkness. It is only a matter of time before darkness completely engulfs the planet whole. Many inhabitants believe their home to be lost and that nobody can stop the king's wicked tyranny. Despite this general consensus, many courageous warriors still pick up their weapons and fight to their very last breath to try and stop Arturo's dark madness. Will you be the hero to save this world from utter destruction? Will Lunaria be saved or is it the end of a once beautiful utopia? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -The Rules: All characters must be against Arturo van Driehal, Your character necessarily doesn't have to be good, but he or she should be against the big baddie. You can have NPC's but try not to go overboard with them. This rp is set in a fantasy/sci fi universe. This means that the world is full of archaic weaponry like swords and spears and yet full of technology like cars, trains, planes and guns. Standard rp rules apply here as well. Lastly, have fun. Besides the darknoughts, Arturo has "enlisted" various creatures into his ranks and due to some untold horror done unto them during their training, they are morphed into savage behemoths with aninsatiable bloodlust. They are decked out in black armor and normally carry large, bladed weaponry. The army is headed by the Fenril Knights. It is rumored that Arturo has created a special division within his army should a serious threat arise. This rumored division has yet been seen therefore the rumor thus remains a mere rumor. The Alliance -Built to counteract the threat posed by Arturo. It is the largest army next to Arturo's. While generally considered to be the underdog, they are passionate in their fight and have done extremely well in defending their last home. They employ various forms of weaponry ranging from laser cannons to sword and shield. The Rebels -Various rebel factions living within Lunaria. They are constantly fighting against the Gods in whatever ways they can, however their small numbers, ineffectiveness and inability to cooperate have forced their reputation as an actual threat to be less than serious. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -Races Because this is part fantasy, the standard races apply. In this rp however, their are also races I created. Feel free to be whatever race you see fit. Darknoughts- Creaures born from pure darkness. They generally have ink black skin and bright yellow eyes. They vary in shape, size and intelligence. The more evolved a darknought is the more powerful it is in battle. Soem darknoughts have become so evolved that they take on teh appearance of humans. Whne a darknought reaches this state, they are known as darknought lords. As darknought lords they surpress their power in their humanoid form but can release it and transform into their true beastial form. This race of creatures is the bulk of Arturo's army making him a force to be reckoned with.. Palgaians- Short creatures that are dog like in a appearance, being very squat with elongated faces and tails. The Palgaians are creatures that excelle at magic and summoning creatures to their aid. Arturo has engulfed himself into the darkness for so logn there's no telling what other powers he may have. Weapon(s): Epeon Appearance: A dark and imposing figure, Arturo is often associated with the image of death itself. His hair is as black as night and is kept short and neat. His navy eyes are sharp as if piercing your very soul. His face has chiseled into it grim and stern expressions. His body stands tall and is packed with pure muscle leaving him nowhere near bulky but by no means lean. He wears a white leather trench coat and leaves it unbuttoned all the way. With no shirt undeneath, the king's well developed body can be seen along with the scar running along his chest. He wears black hakama-esque pants that are tucked into boots and held up by a navy sash. His boots are as black as night and are steel toe'd. Equally black are Arturo's fingerless gloves that are worn over his hands. It would seem that either his time in the darkness, or perhaps his time with death has given his skin a cold paleness. This paleness makes a striking contrast his five pointed crown made of black onyx that's atop his head. Persona: Cold, ruthless, cunning, these are Arturo's nicest qualities. A sadistic and twisted man, Arturo will go to any length to get what he wants. Considering himself better thany everyone, Arturo has no qualms about criticizing and ridiculing others. He is not above threatening the lives of others and believes only through darkness can the world be at peace. His intelligence is uncanny and rivaled by few. He is the epitome of mean, violent, and destructive, Something Arturo has no problem with.
