As the silence had begun to take the group, Max had started eating more voraciously. It was certainly fine food, worth every coin. Upon being questioned as to where he was going to be staying, he wiped his chin and sat silent for a few moments. "Well, I didn't bring enough coin to afford a place to myself, I'd wager." He said, gesturing to the nearly empty plate before him. "Considering the cost of food and all." He shrugged as if it were of no consequence. "Guess I'll just have to get a 'job' or something." He continued, putting an emphasis on the word job. His attention was distracted as the brightly colored group hove into view, and began speaking. He listened intently, giving off an air of one who pays attention only for chance at coin, though in truth deeply interested in the culture. As he was again brought into the conversation he replied after a moments thought, "Yeah, probably good to scope the place out." He said with a shrug. "I can look at people in pretty bright dresses any day of the week." With that he stood, stretching his legs and shoving what was left of the meal in his mouth. |
