"Daygreet, friend," called Damien as he got closer to Max, "What brings you to our proud city of Tyria? It's hard going for mere mortals like us, no noble heritage, so we have to make a real living. People like us have to stick together, right?". Damien and Max were roughly the same height, but Jak had no real martial arts experience, and figured even if his character would have been able to beat Max, Jak couldn't. Still, Damien had numbers on his side. If it came to a fight... which it might not.

"This is Kope, he doesn't say much, but he's deadly with the dagger. And Brendan, well, can't say I'd rather have anyone else at my back, safe as houses this one." Damien motioned to each with his hand, then patted his pocket full of Araedothian dollar coins. "I'm Damien, and I invite you to have luncheon with my humble crew, what d'ya say?".

Jak was pleased to see another tourist who had a similar character. One of the most appealing things about Araedoth was meeting similar people. And this weather! Wonderful!

Tessandra took another sip of Green tea and thought about this week's Plot. The Plot team were finally playing the Long Lost Prince plot line, and poor Michael, who'd been playing the humble stable hand Seth Underwood, would finally be realised as the Long Lost Prince Tyrisan. The story went that at Seth's birth, the midwife had been bribed to pretend he was severely sick, and had been given potions to make him worse. But the young girl could not bear to kill the child, and so had left it outside a farmhouse. The couple had taken the baby in and raised it as their own. But after seventeen years the Cobalt spies had captured an old bandit, who made a deal with them in order to escape the death sentence for smuggling liquor.

The bandit betrayed a comrade, telling the Cobalt spies that he had been responsible for the Prince's "death", and given the name of the midwife. She in turn was tracked down, and told the spies willingly about his location. Tomorrow she would be called to deliver the summons to the Prince, sparking several gang wars and a conspiracy to kill the Prince again. The bandit who was told to bribe the midwife was acting on the orders of a Noble, no one knows who. Not even Cassie herself knew. She liked it that way. Made it more real.

A few more minutes and the Rivia dwellers would be here. She wondered if any of them were playing a Cobalt Student, a role tourists could play to "train" into one of the Cobalt classes. So far there were the Warriors, the heavy armoured Cobalts, the Guards, who had light armour and spears, the Messengers, like herself, no armour save what they made themselves, but extremely fast fighters, the Spies, who had to be proficient in both long and short range combat. Then the Archers, a relatively new class that had split off from the Messengers, and favoured long range combat.

Cobalt students could buy the student robes for about five dollars. It was a simple cobalt tabard, tied with a white belt. The Cobalt Insignia was sewn onto the front and back; three thick, vertical lines, the outer two about half the length of the middle. The pattern was simple, symmetrical, and striking. The insignia was different colours depending on the level of the student, starting at black. Tessandra's shield was made out of tough, light, silver metal alloy, with a a white Cobalt insignia outlined in cobalt. It hardly wore because all the weapons were LARP ones, but she had been assured it could stop a real blade.

"C'mon," she thought, "Give me someone to talk to"
