This RP is about a group of LARPers (Live Action Role Players) that managed to get enough money to start a LARP amusement park named Araedoth. It was a dream come true; making money from doing what they loved best. Thousands of people from all over the world came to immerse themselves in a fantasy world, set in four square miles of estate, yet surrounded by so much countryside it was impossible to see any hint of ordinary civilisation from horizon to horizon. Save for the coach and car park and welcome lobby, the customers could really believe they were there.

Of course, everyone knows it's not 100% real. That each week a different storyline is devised by the Plot Team and the holiday makers get to join in as they wish.

But then someone dies. And it's not a fake death for the sake of a plot. It's an actual murder. The senior members of staff call an emergency meeting. The murderer left a note, and has assumed the identity of one of the fictional serial killers that roam the "slums". The murderer has cut off all links with the outside world. The park is locked down. The murderer can't escape. But it also means his victims are trapped. No phones work, electricity is cut off.

Where is the line between reality and RP for this murderer? Does he know he's not really that fictional character, or does he truly believe he is that character. All attempts to talk to him as staff, as ordinary people, fail. The only way to solve this mystery, is to play the roles they have always played for fun.

The lines blur between fun and terror, fiction, and reality...

Hi guys, I'm really psyched about this RP and would love you to join. You can be a member of staff, a normal holiday maker, a police detective, a journalist, or even nominate yourself to be the killer. Please be sure to read the "Welcome Holiday Maker!" briefing in the IC thread, as this is what all customers are presented with on entering the park. It gives details of the monarchy, map, religious systems, magic systems and transport around the site. I will draw an actual map for you soon. Staff areas will be marked clearly.

The profile skeleton is slightly complex, as you need to make a "real life" profile and an "IC profile". I'll post mine up as an example. Staff can range from a receptionist in costume to staff that play a certain character all the time (e.g. king, priest, weapons dealer).

Real Identity
Name: Cassie Thorpe
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Job: Senior member of Staff - finance director and occasionally plays one of the long standing characters
Time spent at the park: One of the founding members
Personality: A bit of a megalomaniac, no one minded when she said she'd look after the boring business bits of the enterprise. She likes things to be just so and this transfers into her LARPing, as she spends so much time creating and maintaining her character. She is fairly confident and easy going, but is unpredictable under pressure.

RP identity
Name: Tessandra Selke (pronounced silk)
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Occupation: Cobalt Messenger
Skills: Horticulture, blade boxing, forgery, horse riding
Magic level: 1 - basic
Personality: Brimming with restless energy, Tessandra decided from the age of seven she would join the Cobalt Messengers, an elite fighting force that began as secure deliverers of important messages and artifacts, but, due to their light armour, fighting style and horsemanship, are often dispatched to deal with bandits and robbers in rural areas and villages. Being too curious for her own good, she has often examined the messages she has been trusted with, and learnt to copy handwriting very well. She uses her status and freedom as a messenger to explore many mysteries, and is often involved in plot lines surrounding smuggling and injustice.
Religion, if any: None
Ordinary Weapons: Hand spikes, slicers and studs; a few daggers, basic cobalt weaponry. Small, simple shield. No long range weapons.
Magic weapons: None.
