After an uneventful trip to get to a bar that had been talked up so much by one person, it was a big disappointment. The building was old, and there were only a few cars parked outside. Francine scrunched her face into a look of disgust as she proceeded closer to the worn down establishment. Halted in front of the main door, Francine studied what little she could see through the clear door. Maybe the place was a diamond in the rough, and she was just overreacting, judging a book by its cover. With one graceful move, Francine pulled the band from her hair and let it down, the iron-straight strands falling loosely over her shoulders. She inhaled a deep breath and let it out slowly as she pushed the glass door open and stepped inside. The place wasn't half bad looking, solely due to the fact that there was a fire in the corner. Someone was already sitting by it, a girl who appeared to have already had her share of fun for the night. The man who appeared to be the bartender was attending to her, pen and paper in hand. Someone else had entered just before her as well, a young man who looked to be a couple years younger than herself. Maybe this place didn't card people? Francine finally realized she was still standing at the door, so she made her way to a table in the corner closest to the fire. Her confidence wasn't enough to make her sit by the other female in the room. Her bag now on the chair beside her, Francine took a seat, crossing her legs gracefully under the table. |
