We like to move it move it...

Happy November! Now, as I'm sure you've all noticed, the whole site seems to have taken a bit of a drop in activity lately. (myself included, sadly). Hopefully, I'll get back to posting again soon, and more importantly, so will all you other members who seem to have vanished into thin air! My excuse, and I'll be honest it's a pretty crappy one, is that i've been pretty busy lately.

When I finish high school next summer, I'm going to be moving from my current home in Manchester (the north-west of England) to Cornwall, waaaaay down at the bottom of the country. My parents have already sold the house, and until we go, we're going to be renting in the area so I don't have to change schools. Unfortunately, that means that I'm going to be moving house this weekend, so i've been running around like a headless chicken trying to sort out packing up my stuff, but presents for Christmas, revise for exams, AND keep up with all the essays and case-studies i've had to write lately.

So yeah, there's my excuse for the next week or so. I really hope the rest of you get inspired to keep active, though! Come on, impress me here people!

Guild-tastic.

First of all, this is only my second blog, and my last one was a LONG time ago now (and pretty un-interesting really), so I'm sorry about that. ^_^''

Okay, so now that's out of the way... today (or rather, tonight) Vexar set up the guilds! Staff have been nattering away about this for a while now, and we've managed to get it up and running. All we need now is some members!

I've managed to bag myself a spot as guild leader of the group "Keepin' it Real", which is especially for all you realistic role players (those of you who prefer the real world- in any period in time- to elves, warlocks, spaceships and whatever. Keepin' it Real is dedicated to just that- believeable, Real world roleplay-lovers. So, If that applies to you, please join!

I'll pm you the password for the guild's forum after you've been accepted, and once things get moving a little I may end up handing over leadership to one of you who really impresses me...

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now.

Of York, Murderers and Pocky.

On Sunday morning, me, my irritating 11 year old sister, my dear old mum, and my stepdad, Mike, got up bright and early, packed an overnight bag, and bundled into a car. The reason? The parents decided it would be fun to go to york and stay the night in a hotel.

After what seemed like an eternity of (bad) singing along to Abba songs, we pulled up at our snazzy hotel. Four stars worth of fancy-pants old fashioned furnishings and a bathroom bigger than the one we have here at home means that I can't really complain.

Anyway, I'll spare you the long-winded, boring essay. The room was gorgeous, the city was incredible. The only bad thing about it was the shower. With a curtain that pulled across, and the bathroom almost identical to the one from that famous shower scene in Psycho, It was IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a proper wash without thinking that someone would burst in and stab me (laugh). I know it's pretty silly, but what can I say? It's the curse of an over-active imagination mixed with a slightly obsessive paranoia.

Anther thing; York has A LOT of VERY attractive guys. Maybe it was something about the amazing weather that made them all crawl out of the woodwork? Or it could have been that I just happened to be looking awful at the time. It's usually the way with these things.. oh well. ^^''

I didn't come back empty handed, either. Two boxes of strawberry Pocky, 3 mangas, and Russel Brand's autobiography. AND the best chocolates in the world: Pink champagne truffles. It's like I've died and gone to heaven =D
