Today at the E3 video game convention, Harmonix, the makers of Rock Band 2, revealed the game’s much-anticipated track list. As we reported earlier today, the track list is headlined by the Guns n’ Roses song “Shackler’s Revenge,” but even without the debut of a new Gn’R song, the list of playable tunes is still jaw-dropping. In all, fans of the game will have 75 songs to jam to, spanning the ’60s to today. All walks of rock are represented: there’s Beck, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads and Linkin Park. For the classic rockers, the Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead and the Who are all represented. And for the ladies to sing along with, there’s songs by Joan Jett, Blondie, Paramore, the Go-Gos and Alanis Morissette. Harmonix obviously feels that in order to set itself apart from the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour, it needs to win the battle of the track lists, and they don’t disappoint. As an added bonus, Harmonix and MTV Games — who initially wanted to put 100 songs in the game — will release an additional 20 master recordings for the game for free. Plus, all those songs that came with or you purchased for the original Rock Band can be uploaded to 2. It won’t really tip the scales, but there’s also nine bonus tracks by bands that include Harmonix employees. To check out the entire list of 75 songs, click after the jump. Your move, Guitar Hero.

Social D, Joan Jett, Sonic Youth, Bikini Kill, Talking Heads, L7, Elvis Costello, Jane's Addiction, The Replacements, Motorhead...
My God I'm gonna have some fun on this game. My voice is fuckin' powerful.
I don't like the Billy Idol selection, but hey, it's a hit and a lot of people do like it. I would rather get Rebel Yell in each and every rock band, guitar hero ever made.

I'm pretty excited about Man in the Box, Everlong, My Own Worst Enemy, Ace of Spades, Spirit in the Sky, Alive, Testify, Give It Away, and Come Out and Play.
I'm pretty bummed about the song selection for AC/DC. Not that its a bad song, but we've been waiting so long to play AC/DC that theres about 10 other songs I'd rather play. Here's to hoping for an AC/DC dlc on release like they did for Metallica. A Tenacious D song from the S/T album would rock, but I'll take what I can get there.
I want some old GNR too.
Here's to hoping that most of these songs don't wind up on Guitar Hero: World Tour.

I wouldn't mind playing Wonderboy or Explosivo, anything but Tribute, that was one of the worst tracks on the album.

Chop Suey is going to be insane on vocals.
Start gargling salt water now so that you can get your vocals up to Lemmy status for Ace of Spades.

Silversun Pickups - “Lazy Eye” is going to be hard, i believe the song is somewhere between 6 to 7 minutes long, and would be tricky to sing really.

24. Guns N’ Roses - “Shackler’s Revenge”
It's a Buckethead song when he was in the band.
