Speaking for myself it isn't diluting my enjoyment/anticipation of The Dark Knight one iota. I thought it wouldn't for you being a Batman fan you would enjoy seeing or following the progress, I mean you don't have to watch it, just avoid it you know? The only thing I have followed are the trailers and pictures, so my experience there would not be ruined as I'm looking forward to see the scenes I have seen in the trailers in the film itself. My experience would be diluted if I knew of the plot and what happens (I have avoided these, I have only watched/looked at what has being released so the trailers and pictures) during the film. The only concerns I have is that villains come and go in the movies but Batman always stays and needs to be continually developed and I hope that is not being forgotten. My other concern is personal, trying to curtail my expectations to a more realistic level so I'm not left disappointed (I doubt I will be). Edited by The Natural, Jun 18 2008, 04:14 PM.

Anyone want to see the first glimpse of two-face? I do mean glimpse... it's side on (partially) and not at all clear... so if you do want a blink and miss it glance at part of the ruined face, follow the link... Two-face |

Nice find Acadius, I remember the report of this scene from Comic Con last year and from the fleeting glimpse we get, it looks like the leaked Two-Face picture which was removed at the request of WB is legit which is cool by me. With that and the new that I finally have my first Dark Knight shirt from my Mum and Dad who told me they were selling like hotcakes and you just can't get them, it's being a great day of suprises. This is the shirt my parents bought me, I liked it since I first saw it as it's one of the earlier Joker ones I can recall:

I must admit I thought the leaked picture of Two-Face was a fake... it looked like a decent photo-shop job, and when Nolan said the one thing they would never leak is a pic of Two-Face post-scarring, I did start to get a bit suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised if the picture was a fake, but just a damn good one... extrapolating what we saw in the clip, and using the previous look (was it from animated series or comics? Can't recall...) to get to what we saw in the picture. But who knows... either way, from the clip we saw, it looks like the pic is fairly accurate, if not on the money! |

Spoiler: click to toggle Two-Face has being lost in the shuffle and as good a villian he is (he's my 2nd favourite one ever with being related to Bruce both as Bruce and as Batman, I'm not suprised or complaning considering it's Batman against The Joker, the two icons duking it out and the praise (even Oscar buzz) Ledger's is generating. Apparently though, the Joker comes in fully formed, as a psycho that kind of breezes in and out of the story like a force of nature... Two-Face is the character being built... just as Batman Begins was an origin story for Bruce Wayne / Batman, The Dark Knight is an origin story for Two-Face, and it's his story in a way. That's why they wanted to keep him as under wraps as possible... I still think Two-Face will end up being a big presence in the film. |

I just purchased my tickets for the midnight show in IMAX. Five of us are going in a group. I also plan to watch the Blu-ray version of Begins before jaunting to the theater. I'm psyched. |

New TV spots:
Thoughts on each: 6. It's all about "Ohh, very poor choice of words." isn't it? Ledger nails the tone of it once more and follows it that awesoome laugh. Each new snippet of Joker dialgoue and the delivery of it becomes one of my new favourites like this. I also like Batman's main line (the new suit looks incredible). 7. Sums up The Joker exactly in 30 seconds. I love how the music dramatically increases. My favourite of the new TV spots. 8. "I was meant to inspire good, not madness". Awesome. 9. The very opening dialogue, is that Heath Ledger as I'm unsure. I actually think I prefer the delievery of "Why so serious" in this to the original one in the December trailer. Be intresting to see which one's Nolan pick as we have heard alternate ones. |
