Fucking amazing final, and for me the best since Ivanisevic/Rafter from 2001. I like both players equally and felt myself rooting for Federer to complete the amazing comeback in the 5th. One of those occasions when you didn't want to see a loser. Incredible drama, the shot Nadal hit to get his second Championship point in the fourth set to go 8-7 up and the subsequent Championship point saved by Federer with a shot just as good would be my highlight of the whole match. The winner would be the player to break the other player's service game and I felt Federer's would be more likley to be broken than Nadal's and it was. Looking at Federer's unforced errors count and break point chances not taken when compared to his previous matches in the tournament, Nadal deserved the win. I can't imagine though how Federer is feeling this morning coming back from two sets down only to be pipped to the post, it's going to be a hard one to get over. I read elsewhere that Federer cried and McEnroe consoled him? I can't blame Federer if he did as my only comfort to him would be being one half of one of the greatest tennis games ever and showing champions heart and class in defeat. On class Nadal as per usual was gracious and I loved how Nadal went to the family box and casually took a stroll walking to the Royal Box to greet the dignitaries from Spain which is a first I can ever recall, like Cash did going to the family box in 1987. I'll be honest and say I didn't watch it, and wasn't all that interested. Looks like I missed a hell of a match, but then I'd be wanting both to lose if I'd seen it. I really don't like the dominance of Federer and Nadal, and can't wait until the likes of Djokovic are intruding on the twosome. I like a tournament where you feel that almost anyone can win, but certainly at least a top five to pick from. Yet here we had another Federer / Nadal final, and another bloody Williams sister final in the ladies final. With regards to the mens, who wouldn't have picked these two right from the start to reach the final. I'm sure it was brilliant to watch, but I'll be forgoing Wimbledon fortnight until some fresh blood with an actual chance of victory come along. |

This was an incredible match. I used to not be able to stand tennis, but thankfully I got into it around 2000, there's a lot of really intense matches on a pretty regular basis. Nadal is my favorite player and I'm stoke that he won because I've been rooting for him since 2006 to win Wimbledon. Each year he lost in the finals to Federer, to only further RF's legacy. So coming into this match I was torn, I want my favorite to win, but I'd love to see the longstanding champ break a world record. |

Sadly i do not like Tennis but that does not mean i do not know how big of a match Nadal Vs Federer, it is like Mickelson Vs Woods in a way. I was a little shocked by the upset, because in most of their matches Federer usually burns Nadal. |
