I am planning ahead this time: I am currently with T-Mobile which is not the greatest mobile network around, and come February 2009 I will have the opportunity to tell them where to stick their network without incurring cancellation of contract costs... So in prep for my move back to o2 with my tail between my legs and cap-in-hand, I am looking at phones and have settled on the iPhone.... Come Feb 09 it will undoubtedly have lots more features/storage space etc... Does anyone already have one? What's it like? And comments? |

Overrated. It's got some cool features, like the wifi and mp3 player, but in the end, there are many phones on the market that are much better all around. The iPhone is just trendy right now, with a tone of hype. |

DO NOT BUY it DACS i swear Iphone is a lot of money and has horrible plans, because it is run by AT&T which has Terrible service. When i mean Terrible Service, i mean spending 75 dollars a month for barely any minutes, and if you calculate that for a few years, that is a lot of money. I say take your money to where it is worth it, try checking out Verizons LG Voyager it is a smart phone JUST like the Iphone. If the Verizons LG phone does not work out for you, i say just check the other smart phones out there besides the Iphone because of bills you will have to pay a month. |

AT&T has the second best service in the nation, behind Verizon. They also have the nation's second best coverage behind Verizon. Basically, Verizon is #1 on everything except phones and plans, AT&T has the best phones and some of the best plans in the nation. Frankie, Verizon is perhaps the most overpriced carrier in the United States, among the top four (VZW,Sprint/T-Mobile/AT&T). |

Cheers for the warning guys but I live in the UK so unlikely to get a signal with AT&T, and if I did the radio transmissions would probably melt my head. It will be with O2, which used to be BT Genie, which used to be BT Cellnet, which used to be Cellnet, which used to be BT Special Projects. Dunno why but I felt like tracing the history of the company names there... I am sure it was probably One2One at some point too... Anyway - the unlimited data deals and obscene minutes/texts for £35 a month sound good to me... so its a question about the actual phone really. |

That is true, but i would rather him not get AT&T because of a phone that has eyecandy and that takes cheap shots for using the minutes and not that good of choice in plans. |

AT&T's plans match right up with Verizon's. I don't know where you got your info about AT&T's plans, but they're almost the same as Verizon's. They charge you $20 for an iPhone data plan, which isn't very much. Plus, AT&T has rollover, which Verizon doesn't. |

The difference with Verizon, what makes them so much more expensive is that they nickle and dime you for every little service. AT&T isn't far off from them, but they tend to offer a little more than Verizon does. If I had to choose between any US carriers, I'd take Verizon because I've never had a problem getting a connection aside from the casinos and the subway. My second choice would be AT&T, because though their coverage isn't AS GOOD AS Verizon, they do have coverage in subways and in all the Atlantic City casinos, which really only helps me out the handful of times I'm in AC each year. |

The coverage for AT&T and Verizon is different everywhere. In the Northeast, I hear from people I know about how AT&T isn't as good and Verizon is tons better. It's not like that where I live, it's the opposite. Really depends on where you live, so you can't really compare who has better coverage because it's too subjective. Nationwide AT&T and Verizon are both neck and neck in terms of coverage. |

You guys are clowns. Ive had an iphone for over 4 months now, and its got the best service, and abilities out of any phone I have ever had before. Being a guys with 6 different email addresses, that get email all day long, it has made my life way simpler than having to login to each account on a computer. In all actuality, it is way faster than checking emails on a computer. Plus, for $75 a month, including free media (emails, web whatnot), and 500 mins, Im fine. Just dont talk like a 16 yr old girl, or like COUCH and youll be fine. Good luck. |
