What's up peeps?

Well after sitting at the local Buffalo Wild Wings and enjoying another great night of UFC Fights, Beer, Wings, and Cheese Fries, a healthy mans diet I tells ya, it was a great night for fights. GSP did what we all thought he would do in the first place and that's dominate one Matt "The Terror" Serra. The Ref stopped this fight late in the 2nd round due to vicious and I mean Vicious knee's that GSP was landing and Serra was pretty much just not fighting back. He proved in back to back fights that he might be the best in the World at Wrestling, and this is from a guy that's not even a Wrestler. Now granted I'm going to back up my boy Matt Hughes here and say that Matt wasn't very motivated for the GSP fight, he wanted Serra, and now that match will finally happen.

In other fights on that card we saw the return of one of my favorite Fighters and a guy that looks like he is REALLY back in business. Rich "Ace" Franklin improved his amazing career mark to 25-3 as a Pro Fighter and folks in MMA that's INSANE!! Rich was caught in an Armbar and pulled one of those miracle moves to get out of it and ended up winning the fight by TKO against a suitable opponet in Travis Lutter. Lutter looked tough, but his cardio was just horrible and it showed as Franklin began to land Kicks, knees, jabs, and pretty much just tore him apart. Lutter was going for that submission, and when it failed, he pretty much looked to have lost all hope in the match.

Michael Bisping was just dominating against McCarthy as the cocky bastard improved to 16-1 as a Pro Fighter, and at what point do people start staying this guy is for real? A really good night of fights, and as always I'm looking forward to The Ultimate Fighter this week, as well as the next UFC PPV, Dana White is doing an amazing job on these cards folks.

WWE Backlash is probably the most stacked Backlash PPV in the history of WWE. You've got a fatal four way between John Bradshaw Layfield, Triple H, John Cena, and the Champion Randy Orton. You've got a dream match between The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels and The Animal Batista! (with special guest referee Chris Jericho) Edge vs The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title, Carlito and Santino vs Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes for the Tag Titles, and so much more. It's just a loaded card that can't be missed, I know I'll be watching.

Now onto something I've been wanting to get to, The Samoa Joe Era has begun! I'm pumped and it's great to see them finally putting the strap on one of the best WRESTLERS in the World Today. He's got amazing mic skills, great martial arts background, tough as nails in real life land, and he's just an amazing all around guy. The Fans love him, the smarks love him, it's a match made in heaven for TNA. Except for this one thing, Scott Steiner is going to face him at the next PPV? How in the blue hell did that match come about? When you think of all of the guys on that roster that they could have used, they use Scott Steiner eh? Perhaps because it's a name, or perhaps maybe Joe requested this match and thought it would be good. I'm going to let TNA prove me wrong here, but it's going to be hard to enjoy a Scott Steiner match folks. But if anyone can carry Scott Steiner to a good match, it's Samoa Joe.

Ring of Honor continues to steamroll through PPV's and continues to grow as probably the greatest Wrestling Promotion in the World Today. No TV Deal has been established yet, but if you want great wrestling, great story-lines, and just flat out a great all around promotion to sink your teeth into, then it's ROH Wrestling! It doesn't matter which of their 400 DVD selection you buy, they are ALL worth the money folks. I'd like to give a big shout out to Mike G of Ring of Honor for sending some DVD's my way to catch up on what's happening. It's good to be in the press, but it's even better when you're friends with the guys that put on such a great product as Ring of Honor!

Until Next Time,

Matt Couch
