Thulian Politics

"Good afternoon and welcome to Thulian Politics." The Anchor was a man in his late 50s. "Today Chief Kuupik Møller announced the budget and idea's on Thule's future. All of this will be covered in tonight's episode. We will also discuss the things going on around the world this week."

"So the big news today is the budget. Chief Møller's secretary announced the budget today in the meeting room in the palace to the journalists present. So now I will pass you over Aðalgeir Adamsson, the economist of our show."

The camera turns to a man in his late twenties.

"Thank you. Yes today the budget was announced. And I will guide you through it as it is the first of it's kind in decades. Frist of all income tax has been lowered from 46% to 27.5% which means we will all have far more money in our pockets. While the former government spent less than 10% of the tax revenue the current government will spend all but one percent on the people."

"So let's take a look at this."

Behind the man a green screan came to life and the people saw a large board with numbers on it.

GDP Per Capita: $9,675.45
GDP: $34,898,518,688
Taxes: 31%

Tax Revenue: $10,818,540,793

Administration: 3% ($216,370,815)
Social Welfare: 17% ($1,839,151,934)
Healthcare: 17% ($1,839,151,934)
Education: 12% ($1,298,224,895)
Defense: 11% ($1,190,039,487)
Law & Order: 10% ($1,081,854,079)
Commerce: 23% ($2,488,264,382)
Environment: 1% ($108,185,407)
Research & Development: 3% ($324,556,223)

"The Chief and his staff have decided that the economy is the thing that needs to be boosted. The Chief has said on multiple occasions that he belives Thule has the potential to become one of the most advanced nations in Renatia with one of the strongest economies. For that reason 23% of the budget has been put into Commerce in hopes of boosting the economic out put of the nation.

Natural gas will be mined and mines will be created however Kuupik has promised to protect the inherent and natural beauty of our nation."

"The military budget has been increased due to the upcoming purchase of four Hamina Class Missle Boats."
