Kuupik Møller was old. At 65 he had already passed the average life expectancy of the average Thulian. But even at 65 he was physiically fit due to his years in the Thulian marines gaining the rank of Colonel in his 38th year and his 13th year of service. His father was the Cheif of their clan but he was the third son and was never expected to gain his father's title. When Haakon died he was one of the niine members of the Council that came together to elect a new Chieftan, ending 650 years of hereditary reign.

He had been selected by a Chieftan from the United Kindreds of Agabia. The two nations were connected by culture. The two nations were similar in land area but the population of the UKA was far greater than the Thulian populace. Since that day he had been working non-stop. Kuupik belived that Thule had the ability to become a very rich nation.

It had vast natural gas and coal deposits in it's waters or land and Kuupik was determined to turn the nation into an economic power house[1]. He saw possible expansion into the frozen wilderness of the North and North East and a great future. The first thing he did after taking office was to order the building of three new naval boats to defend the natural gas in the West and then to begin building, or buying, platformns to mine the Gas. Mines were also ordered in the East.

Kuupik's foreign policy would be dominated by gaining friends for the isolated nation. The UKA was the nation Kuupik wanted to become the nation's main ally. There was little Kuupik could offer the UKA but the two shared a common culture. He was becoming more and more interested in the idea of Volkisim. There were no foreigners in the nation, unless a few Nentsians or Sorian's had slipped past the borders. 100% of the people in the nation were Nordic and the idea of purity and the survival of that was becoming rather important to Kuupik.

He had turned his eye's to the South, were Nentsia ruled. The communist nation would likely be unhappy with it's northern neighbour aligning itself with a powerful nation with different ideology.

[1] Similar to Norway or Switzerland, not the US :p
