Courlund is becoming an ever more tolerant place for all people. When Elijah Herschel took office he abolished the racial laws and since then any religion, colour or creed has been welcomed into Courlund. Racism in the nation is at an all time low and today leading Rabbis and Imams met in Haifia today where they both preached solidarity in an ever changing world. They say old feelings should be burried and that the two nations, which have the same roots, should be friends not enemies. They said that the ever changing Courlund should be a place of peace and harmony. They say the purges in Nentsia and segregation in Aus'tiana can never happen in Courlund and they should be opposed. 2,000,000 Davists and 500,000 Mohamikidians gathered today in the city where they celebrated together as brothers. It was a hastily organised event and when the President heard about it he arrived and spoke to great cheers. "This is great," he said with his trade mark smile, "simply put this is what I always dream of. A united and stronger Courlund. A Courlund without prejudice in a continent where it is rife. I am a Davist and I am proud to say it. But you," he said pointing to an Imam, "and you," he said pointing to a man in the crowd, "should be just as proud of your own heritage and culture. This has shown me what Courlund should be like and I think this is the time to announce a change in my party." The crowd fell silent. What was he going to say? "My party, the Courlundish Jewish Alliance, will be renamed today to show a United Courlund. From now on the Party will be called the Courlundish Democratic Alliance." |
