It was a glorious day for much of Deltoria. Although the Sultan had died only 5 days before, the day was filled with joy. In fact, the day had been declared a holiday and no one worked that day. It was the day of Prince Ali Haara’s coronation to become the Sultan of the Islamic Empire of Deltoria. He was young, though not the youngest, at 40 years of age, in fact, he was exactly 40. The day of his coronation was also his birthday.

At that time people cheered endlessly, but they had not seen the future, which would have its pros and cons, and all would be by the hands of Ali. Ali would be what would condemn the name of Deltoria to forever be rejected from most of the nations simply because of its leader. Nobody had planned it, not even Ali, but it was what was coming. The future was set in stone. Another thing that was set in stone was Ali’s death.

Nittia 12th, 51Æ

Sultan Ali Haara lay in his bed. His family surrounded him as he coughed out his longs. He was terribly sick, and at his age of 70, it was predicted that he would not survive. His oldest son, Abu, was already in preparation to become the Sultan of Deltoria. Abu was quite old as well and was nearing his 50th birthday.

Ali had not risen from his bed in almost three weeks. His muscles ached, but his throat and stomach ached even more. He had caught some type of flu, though it had not been identified early enough for him to be saved. He just lay there, thinking of his life. He thought it was better to ponder over all the moments in his life than to watch the news or engage in other activities. Upon every thought he nearly began to cry, he now thought of life as being so beautiful. He had never really stopped to take the time to notice it, he never had the time. Ali thought that he was ready to go, and that it was his time. His family, especially his wife, differed, but he knew that it was his time. He did not want to survive this sickness, the pain and stress of living was too great, and his aged bones and mind could no longer handle it. He was happy he would soon be with Allah.

It was a beautiful morning in the forgotten city of Kyro. Ever since the Islamic Empire has been born, Kyro has been slowly losing its fame. The fame all flies the 1000KM to Medina, where culture flourishes, and architecture rises high, and the mosques sing everyday uninterrupted. Kyro, on the other hand, was well in its decline. Tourism had long disappeared. The only thing that kept the city from becoming an average, fallen apart city, much like the rest of the cities of the Islamic Empire, was that it was home to the new Sultan.

The Sultan, much like the city, had little power and could only control his state in the Islamic Empire. Even then his decisions could be overridden by the Caliph who exercised more power than what was originally intended by the three founding Sultans, but there was nothing they could do. They all three had to rule their states, one being new to the scene, without question upon the Caliph on fear of their own creation deposing them from power.

Abu had been thrown into this scene in only a month. Of course he had the training to be a leader, but it was not the same 2 seconds after you became the leader. He now understood why his father was always over worked every night and why he would not tolerate screaming and yelling. Then upon the thoughts of his father, Abu felt the burn of tears behind his eyes. He admired his father like no other, the faults and the glories. It was sad that Ali had passed on, but at least Abu felt the reassurance that his father was in a better place now, free of the stress of life. This happened to Abu almost 5 times a day for the past 3 days since his father had died. If this kept up he did not know if he would be able to handle the work that came with his new job.

The scene repeated itself only once more the next day, but it consumed hours of his day. It was when he read the al-Serat and saw the picture of his father and the bold text on the front page reading "RIP Sultan Ali Haara, 19BAE—51BAE.” Abu did not know, evan at his age of 50, if he was fit to keep order in Deltoria.

I am very sad to receive the news of your fathers death, he was like a brother to me and the rest of fascist Renatia. It is only now that I feel old age creeping up on me as well, It is only a matter of time before I leave this world and join your father. Along with this message I have sent a package, inside you will find a fascist flag, and four Germanian military medals that your father would have received if he were a Germanian.

[Content of the package]

1x Renatian Fascist flag
1x Knights Iron Cross
1x Gold Square
1x League Service Metal

I send my apologize for you loss. Your Farther was a great man, whom both Rip Van Winkle and Peter talked highly about. If Gebeta or my self can help, please let send me a message. The SS will ensure it is delivered.
