![]() Commonwealth News Service Reporting from Kilkorry Merida 4, 50Æ Office of the King Releases New Government Budget National priorities to shift as more taxes are diverted to military spending ![]() New military acquisitions to be displayed in weekly parades The King signed into law a new government budget today in the beginning of what is said to be a long line of reforms that will be enacted by the King in order to prepare the empire for the heir to the throne, the as yet unborn child of King Darren Celtimus and Queen Scarlett Weilarch. The most significant change is the sudden spike in military spending, a shift that was revealed alongside an announcement stating that 42,672 new jobs, including for positions in the newly created Commonwealth Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Authority. The King's new nuclear ambitions, bolstered by the supply of raw uranium from the Kinsman Federation, taking the forefront of the budget increase. Multiple activist and protest groups are set to demonstrate against the King for ordering the production of the warheads, however military analysts and Kingdom spokespeople are trying to reassure the general public that there is simply no other way. The war in Engleshire proved that the republican element will go to no end to ensure its goal, and the protection of the nation is the utmost priority in the decision. Nathan Patricks, CNS
