I'll be participating in this in a few weeks!!!!! Together with a group from the Anarchist Collective Utrecht we will form a radical block with other anarchist movements to shake up the anti-government demonstration in The Hague!!! I can't wait!!!! ![]() Call for a radical march to the Rekening Retour rally, 23 October On 23 October there will be a rally against austerity, organised by Rekening Retour. We welcome this action and will take part of it. At the same time, we think that more is needed, both in content and in form of action. We want to take a stand against austerity as such. A clear-cut NO against cuts on benefits and benefit rights, a clear-cut NO against cuts in health, public transport, education, all the provisions we need so badly. We don’t take part in the search for ‘better’ cuts, a less anti-social version of austerity and so on. The solution for a crisis that is not made by us, the closing of holes in a budget that is not ours, the solution for a state debt that has grown because of that crisis and because of the subsidies to shaky banks at the value of many billions – that is not what we are concerned about. For us, this protest is part, not of bettering the existing order at the edges, but of the fight for a world where human needs, respect for the environment, sustainabiluty of th earth which we inhabit, is central. The fight against cuts that flow from the hunt for profits is for us a part of the struggle against the powers who enrich themselves through the hunt for profits, and who relentlessly expl;loit and destroy people and earth world-wide. That struggle is a matter of action, of movement û figuratively and literally speaking. We think that it is not enough to gather for an afternoon in The Hague. We don’t want to be just spectators, we want to break through the passive role we are handed.. We don’t want to stand still, we want to move forward.. That is why we call upon everyone that agrees with the above, to march together to the Rekening Retour rally, from The Hague Central Station. We will walk as a group, clearly visible and audible, in a march to the rally which we will join, with our critical contribution. We assemble on: 12 hours Central Station, The Hague Greece Is Everywhere |
