Lets try and keep this one clean. Out of Eleben, Narda, Courlund, Delt and Drake only I accepted, so for what reason would the Region vote for Abstain? I just dont see the reason why I didn't "win" the elections. I just nominated two people, one of them declined the other is not to sure. So if no one wants the position as bad as I do, why vote Abstain? Anyone???? Edited by Germania, 21 Sep 2010, 07:01 PM.

Sometimes you really respond in an immature way, so I believe you are not yet ready for a government position. For example, you begin calling the voters ''assholes'', even in your profile-tag, when you lose the elections. That makes the region look bad. As a chancellor, I cannot tolerate that. |

Maybe if I got into a government position I would clean up my act, have you ever thought about that? I forget where I saw or read it but it said something like this "If you put an immature person into a position of power, they end up becoming more mature" |

Yes, someone else mentioned that. And I am willing to give you the chance to prove that you are right. So next time, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. |

I don't think I'd ever vote for anyone who, in their current state, is undesirable for a position of power, but promises to be better later. Politics doesn't work like that, and if you wanted people to vote for you then I think you should be an example citizen at all times rather than just when you need to. Just my two cents. |

I'll make no bones about it NIG, I was the other person who voted for you. The reason I did so was because I firstly didn't want the region's Interior Affairs to be stalled even more, but mainly because I hoped you'd be mature about it. Not just if you got into power, but about the affair as a whole. I fully recognise that you are one of the youngest people here and so will obviously be less mature (don't take people saying that as an insult btw, it's just a fact of life). I wanted to see if you could try and be more grown up and I hoped that having a position of power would help you to become more wise about things. What the problem is now though is your outrageous reaction to losing. Instead of shouting and swearing about it, try thinking exactly why you lost. Just what is it that made people vote for Abstain over you? Is it your temperament? Is it your immaturity? Is it your inexperience or your tendency to create disputes rather than solve them? To be honest, I think it's all of these and more. What you should do is ask people amicably and peacefully just why they didn't vote for you and then you can change those things. Shouting and balling isn't going to get you anywhere. Whilst I'd hoped that you would grow up a bit with the promise that you'd get elected, you've shown none of that, and so much so that I'd be seriously disinclined to vote for you again on the thought that you'd change. What you need to do is prove me and the others wrong. |

I agree with your two cents there Freeman. ![]() For me, I would have to see you mature before I voted for you, as you put it "clean up your act". For me, to vote for you now would be a huge gamble. For instance, say you didn't clean up your act (mature) and continued the way you are now. I would not tolerate that in government and as a voter that is why I would vote for you. In my opinion, I think you need to calm down and mature before I would give you a vote, then I would be more than happy to vote for you because I know you have some great ideas in there. This is the only issue for me. |

Well I am one of the young ones, but I'm not the youngest.
You know why I got mad about loosing. Mainly because I thought my fellow Renatians would have voted for me over abstaining (While I was looking at the ballot I said to myself "I bet they all vote Abstain"). And because it seems a lot of people on here dont like me at all. Do you know how it makes me feel that the one government position I actually have a shot at and I actually want is just taken away?
I try to solve disputes, but for the most part it ends up with me arguing with multiple members, because they start to gang up on me. Another reason I feel like people dont like me, is because it seems like they only target me. |

NIG, I didn't not vote for you because I don't like you. In fact, in real life (and here too?) I'm actually known for liking everyone. True, I did not vote for you, but it honestly wasn't because I don't like you. At the time, I thought you were war mongering, but I'm starting to not think that any more. Your recent roleplays have, in my opinion, lessened with the nukes and massive wars. This is what I'm glad at ![]() I can really see where you are coming from. Hell, sometimes I think people ignore me on this :L When people argue with you, it does seem like your alone on your side, which is why I honestly don't argue against you. If you'll take my advice, the next elections, maybe go for Lord Justice. It isn't the biggest role in the Government (I've been there, done that) but it does let you feel what it's like to have people rely on your judgement. When I was Interior Sec. I worried I'd make the wrong decisions in OOC conflicts. I don't think it's all about maturing either. I don't know HOW to win others over, but I DO know that your an active member, an avid roleplayer and a good Renatian. I really hope this helps, I think it's just random ramblings on my part :/. It's 11pm and I have a Japanese test tomorrow, and learning about sex. Woo hoo
