A close and confidential meeting was taken at the House of Dun Eideann in Eriksay, that of the private country residence of Richard MacKenzie the prime minister of Scotina, in which only thirteen people attended including the prime minister, all staff had been given the day off, as extra security precautions of the serious matters of state being discussed inside, that of two sabre companies of the 23rd Scotina Sabre Battalion (Scotina's version of the SAS) were on patrol duty with orders that if anyone without clearence tried to enter then use of deadly force was allowed if need be. The twelve people attending were Prime Minister Richard MacKenzie, Deputy Prime Minister Gerald Brown, Minister of Foriegn Affairs Chris Lambert, Minister of Justice William Stevenson, Minister of Interior Patrick Roach, Minister of Finance Joanna Campbell and Minister of Defence Robert Bowes-Lyon, the seven members of the Scotina Defence Cabinet. The other five included that of Sir William Fitzgerald scotina's ambassador to Grampian, along with General Arthur Doyle (Commander in Chief of Scotina Defence Force), General Alexander Stewart (Chief of Staff Army), Air Marshall John Haig (Chief of Staff Air Force), Admiral Patrick Fleming (Chief of Staff Navy) and Major General Allan Ramsay (Commander of Scotina Marines) Prime Minister MacKenzie opened the meeting by announcing that as prime minister of Scotina, he had decided to implement that of Operation Votadini, that of an fifteen year old plan that consisted that of the nation of Scotina, if need be by military force, taking back the lands of Grampian, as that of one hundred and seventy years ago, Scotina and Grampian had existed together as that of the nation of Votadini, until the two nations had seperated after that of the civil war of Votadini, in which that of Scotina was created by that of the members of parliament of Votadini that had uprised against that of the tyranny of the king of Votadini and the ruling land barons of Votadini, while the nation of Grampian was still ruled by that of the old barons of Votadini, as the royal family of Votadini, that of King Edmond and Crown Prince Charles had been killed in the Battle of Guotodin, while Queen Alisa escaped and died of natural causes, without having another heir to the Kingdom of Votadini. Prime Minister MacKenzie asked that of Minister Stevenson "Is it legal to propose that of annexation of Grampian and bring back the people of Grampian, into that of the democratic republic of Scotina and get rid of the tyranny powers of the barons of Grampian to reform that of Votadini, but retaining the title of the nation of Scotina." Minister Stevenson replied "Under that of the constitution of Scotina then the annexation of Grampian to be brought under scotina rule is legal, but i cannot announce with full confidence that the other nations of Agabia, expecially that of other nations near to that of Grampian will see that of this of nothing other than plain illegal war action against Grampian and its people." Minister Lambert replied "Nations close to Grampian will see this as an dangerous intention of force from us, the nation of Scotina, and i recommend that if you decide to implement that of Operation Votadini, then before that of military forces entire that of Grampian, to allow that of the diplomatic department of Scotina to arrange an meeting with nearby nations of Grampian with our current ambassadors to those nations to dialogue with their respective Minister of Security, Internal and External Affairs, that Scotina is doing this to reclaim the lands and the people of Votadini into that of an democratic nation, who they can vote to decide who leads them, instead of being told what to do by that of the land barons who rule by ancient rule of nobility over the common people. Prime Minister called on the war cabinet to raise their hands if they agreed, that Operation Votadini was to be put into that of planning, out of the six minister excluding the prime minister the vote came to 4:2 in agreement with Ministers Roach and Campbell voting against, due to the vast cost that implemeting that of the post plan of Operation Votadini would cost, this of the updating of nearly all aspects of the social and economic structure of Grampian, to come under that of standard level of the regions of Scotina, which would cost quite a few tens of billions of Scotina Sterling. The meeting then turned to the military plans of Operation Votadini, in which General Doyle, stated that the plans being that of fifteen years old, were now out of date, but due to that Prime Minister MacKenzie had given him three weeks prior notice of his plan to debate that of Operation Votadini, he along with the staff of the Army, Air Force and Navy, had replanned the units requirements. General Doyle told that of the war cabinet that Grampian currently had an military force of 70,000 but around that of 40,000 were that of conscripts who were forced into military duty for that of six years and that most of its military equiptment was that of old technology, their primary tanks are 650 T-72B's and fighter aircraft that of 120 MIG-31s, which are inferior to scotina's tanks and aircraft. General Doyle announced that to send in that of an Military Task Force to commanded by General Stewart, with that of the Military Task Force, comprising that of all three branches of the Scotina Defence Force and that of the Scotina Army would send in that of two army corps. 1st Corps comprising that of the 1st Armoured Dragoon Division, 14th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, 3rd Infantry Brigade, 7th Infantry Regiment and 75th Scotina Ranger Regiment (360 Challenger 2 / 48 Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tanks, 54 AH-64D / 18 Ka-50E Attack Helicopters and 22,840 personnel). 1st Corps objectives were to head North West from border near Nairn and go for that of Duone, when 50km short of Duone, that of 14th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, 3rd Infantry Brigade would break that of North east to head towards the coastal city of Thurso, that of 75th Scotina Ranger Regiment would be air dropped infront of the ground corps, into the area nearby Duone, to capture that of strategic important sites, with the rest of the corps travelling at all possible speed to link up with 75th Ranger Regiment. 2nd Corps comprising that of 5th Armoured Dragoon Brigade, 17th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Brigade, 31st Parachute Brigade and the 82nd Scotina Ranger Regiment (120 Challenger 2 / 48 Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tanks, 18 AH-64D / 18 Ka-50E Attack Helicopters and 16,840 personnel were to head due north from border near Nairn and Grampian captial that of Aviemore, were the 31st Parachute Brigade would be airdropped into the city to occupy that of govermental buildings and that of key buildings such as that of the main news centres of Grampian in Aviemore. All but the 17th Mechanised Infantry Brigade and the 82nd Scotina Ranger Regiment would head east towards that of Glencoe. Scotina Air Force would supply that of the 2nd Fighter Wing, 5th Fighter Wing, 11th Fighter Bomber Wing and 221st Air Ground Support Squadron. 2nd Fighter Wing (48 F-16E) and 1st and 3rd Squadron of 11th Fighter Bomber Wing (32 F/A-18E/F) would support that of 1st Corps by providing that of air cover, while that of 2nd Corps would be provided air cover by that of the 5th Fighter Wing (48 F-22 Raptor), 2nd Squadron of 11th Fighter Bomber Wing (16 F/A-18E/F) and 221st Air Ground Support Squadron (8 AC-130U Spooky II & 4 AC-130H Spectre Gunships). Scotina Navy would supply that of both that of the 33rd Carrier Strike Group (CSG Shetland) and 38th Expedition Strike Group (ESG Skye) comprising of 16 ships, including that of 6 Guided Missile Destroyers, 3 Attack Submarines and CVN-67 Nimitz Carrier and LHD-23 Wasp Amphibious Assault Ship, hold that of an combined air wings of 36 F-35C, 12 F/A-18E/F and 8 F-35B's, while ESG Skye would carry that of an Marine Detachtment Force consisting of the 2nd Scotina Marine Regiment and 23rd Marine Commando Battalion, that of 2,580 marines. ESG Skye operation was to land that of the Marine Detachment Force close to that of the port of Stornoway, while that of CSG Shetland would be used to add air cover to the marine force detachment and also primary to allow that of ESG Skye to enter into the Strait of Nudantian, due to belief that if ESG Skye had just be sent that the nation of Mocha Sike may have hampered ESG Skye entering fully into the Strait of Nudantian, and finally docking at Laggan in Grampian, but with CSG Shetland in tow, that Mocha Sike would be less prepared to use it naval force to stop it with CVN-67 and LHD-23 within an 1.5 mile radius beside one another with their protective screens deployed together around the two large ships in the middle. Prime Minister MacKenzie stated that the military units shouldn't stay in Grampian for no longer than an year, as during this time period various items would occur, the first that in 6 months time, that of expended lands of Scotina would be going into that of an full general election to decide on that of the goverment of the newly expended Scotina. That all parties that exist in Scotina and newly formed ones that would be created in that of the old lands of Grampian, and that all citizens at the age of 18 would be allowed to vote. The only people not allowed to run for office for atleast twenty years would be that of the land barons and their heirs, plus the lands of the barons would be partly nationalised, that of the goverment of Scotina would pay that of the barons that of a maximum of 150 million sterling for that of land rights, needed for the economic and social growth of the people of old Grampian, that all their buisnesses would still be owned by the barons, unless they were armanent companies that would be transferred into that of state ownership due to Scotina law. The Prime Minister then closed that of the meeting, and announced that all details of this conference was to be classified as top secret. OPERATION VOTADINI is at that of 60 minutes away of the Ground Forces marching into the lands of Grampian, and ESG Skye 2 hours away from launching Marine Expedition Force into Grampian. The annexation of Grampian is nearly finished as that of phase one, and has been that of successful, but with that of a few setbacks, with that of Phase One being the military control of Grampian and the removal of the old regime goverment of Grampian. The Scotina Defence Force launched that of its offensive operations into that of Grampian five weeks ago, with that of the ground forces of both 1st and 2nd Army corps crossing that of the Scotina / Grampian Border just north of Nairn, Scotina at 0500 hours on Tuesday 8th, the ground forces encountered nearly little sign of the Grampian Army for the first 16 hours, the main battle at the beginning of the annexation was that of the fighter wings of the Grampian Air Force which has been estimated that 130 MIG-31's were sent against to damage that of 1st and 2nd Army Corps, that of 2nd & 5th Fighter Wing (48 F-16E and 48 F-22 Raptors) were sent on an interception course, with that of 3rd Squadron of 11th Fighter Bomber Wing, being armed solely for air-air defence duties in reserve that of 18 F/A-18F Super Hornets. The air battle lasted for that of 30 minutes in which time that of 2nd and 5th Fighter Wing had destroyed that of 58 MIG-31's and damage that of an further 27 MIG-31s and deployed 2/3rds of their first sortie of amraam missiles, but had taken losses of 8 F-22 Raptors and 19 F-16E destroyed with 5 F-22 and 7 F-16E heavily damaged and requiring extensive repairs, also that of 19 pilots had been killed in action including that of Squadon Leaders David Thompson (2nd Sqd, 5th Fighter Wing) and James O'Neill (1st Sqd, 2nd Fighter Wing). The 1st Army Corps commanded by General Stewart, headed towards that of Duone when that of 130km short of Duone they encountered that of the 1st Grampian Army Corps, numbering that of 32,000 personnel and that of 650 T-72B Tanks, for nearly two hours that of an major tank battle ensued. The Grampian 650 T-72B's versus 360 Challenger 2 and 48 Leopard 2 of the Scotina 1st Corps, at the end that of over 600 tanks were burning wrecks, the Grampians had lost nearly 3/4 of their tanks, via that of the Scotina Armour units employing that of there apache helicopters to launch hellfire anti tank missiles that destroyed and crippled numerous T-72B's will that of the Ka-50E armed with sidewinders were used to attack that of the Grampian attack helicopters before they could serious destroy portions of the 1st Armoured Dragoon Division, at the end that of 480 T-72B's had been destroyed or needed heavy repairs, while the 1st Armoured Dragoons had lost that of 160 Challenger 2's and the 14th Mechanised Infantry Brigade that of 18 Leopard 2's, and over 4,500 Grampian soliders had been KIA, compared to 2,800 soliders of Scotina 1st Corps. The 1st Corps had also captured that of 13,000 soliders while the rest of the Grampian 1st Army Corps were in that of full retreat. The 2nd Army Corps lead by that of Lieutenant General Lee Howard, travelled to that of Aviemore were that of the 31st Parachute Brigade, had encountered that of large pockets of armed resistance from that of various territoral army units of the Grampian Army, that of Brigadier Patrick Casey had called upon that of air support of the 221st Air Ground Support Squadron, that had caused that of near destruction of the Grampian National Assembly Hall, by firing that of numerous 105mm howitzer rounds into the building to force the surrender of the defending force, that of Lieutenant General Howard learning of the problems of the Para's authorised that of the 5th Armoured Dragoon Brigade, together with an battalion of the 1st Infantry Brigade to head at all speed to link up with that of the para's, while the rest would follow, also contacting that of 2nd Squadron of 11th Fighter Bomber Wing to supply immediate air cover for the Para's, for Brigadier Casey to direct that of air attacks on Aviemore if needed. The 5th Armoured Dragoon Brigade when approaching that of Aviemore were attacked by that of the Grampian Mechanised Infantry Division and 2nd Infantry Brigade, knowing that they were outnumbered and outgunned that of Major General Carl Woodthorpe, called that of the an defensive retreat to wait until that of the rest of the 2nd Army Corps rejoined, this action saved an large portion of the forward force, and only cost that of the loss of 36 Challenger 2's that were used as an rear guard force to slow the enemies Mechanised Infantry Division. Major General Woodthorpe called in for air cover and only expecting that of 2nd Squadron, 11th Fighter Bomber Squadron, was surprised when that of entire 5th Fighter Wing turned up aswell carrying that each of 2 1,000kg JDAM bombs that they unleashed on the Mechanised Infantry Division, causing that of quite extensive damage to the Grampian forces, when the rest of 2nd Army Corps appeared 3 hours later, they joined up, this after 5th Fighter Wing and 2nd Squadron of 11th Fighter Bomber Wing had completed another full sortie of bombing missions on the Grampian forces. The Marine Detachment Force landed at Stornoway and faced nearly no armed force opposition, and took up that of area patrol of the lands around Stornoway. Also that of the Grampian Navy that of eight destroyers and 20 others surface ships surrended, at the port of Luggan, due to that its Naval Command learning of CSG Shetland decided to attack the Scotina convey would just be plain suicide, and that the carrier aircraft would just destroy or cripple its surface ships. Since that of the end of week four, nearly all of Grampian military forces have been meet and destroyed or captured, the Grampian Army have took loses of over 8,500 soliders KIA and an further 50,000 that have been captured, with that of 530 T-72B's and 67 MIG-31's destroyed and 15 unfit for repair to be scrapped. Scotina Defence Force has lost that of 4,100 soliders KIA and 38 aircraft destroyed or so badly damaged that unfit to repair so being scrapped. Phase Two is three weeks into place, that of the re-organisation of the nation of Grampian, this involves that of the dialogue with that of Grampian population on that of community leaders of the various regions in Grampian, into how that of the goverment of Scotina wish to reform that of the social and economic affairs of Grampian, and also start that of local elections within the next few months, to form that of the Grampian Regional Assembly in the city of Aviemore, that would form part of an large regional assembly branch of the new Scotina Goverment Assembly in the capital of Eriksay in Scotina. The Grampian Armed Forces have been placed under that of supervision orders with primary that of their ordinance, including all tanks, armoured vechiles, helicopters, aircraft and assault weapons, only excluding that of secondary weaponary, that of their service pistol being taken away, and placed under guard of the Scotina Defence Force units in Grampian. The Grampian Police Force are still in place with full powers but that of Assistant Chief Constable Anthony Davis of the Scotina Central Police Force Authority has been appointed as Inspector General of the Grampian Police Force, officially that of the head of the Grampian Police Force, and is putting together that of an plan to organise that of the Grampian Police Force, along the lines of the Scotina Police Force, along with that of the laws and duties of the Scotina Police Force, which within an few months would become into effect as the standard proceedings of the old Grampian Police Force, as a new name for the Police Force hasn't been decided yet, due to that would be the responsibility of the Grampian Regional Assembly Edited by Scotina, 28 Aug 2010, 12:04 AM.
