The Confederation was going through a hectic period. A few months ago, the first Pluralist [1] president candidate was elected in Tzetxuhoani history. A unique moment. The elections were followed by a controversial message of the Ichihuexopan rebels that called for a revolution in Tzetxuhoan. The country, named Tzetxuhoan, was ruled by a colonial elite that presented itself as a moral and caring democracy. The indigenous rights were ignored, immigrants were not offered any chance of a succesful life, and those who screamed for change were ignored by the generally very conservative political establishment.

Some even began to refer to Tzetxuhoan as ''Batavia'', as it was ruled by Anglo- and Dutch colonials. The Pluralist party wanted more rights for the poor, the immigrants and indigenous. Now they had a president in office, but that was not enough for such a change. The parliamentary elections had to be won too. Since the Conservative ex-president Attwater [2] was crushed during the presidential elections, the Conservatives were campaigning like never before. If the Pluralists would get the majority in the Confederate Assembly [3], than nothing stood in the way for the Pluralists to give the ''oppressed'' more rights.

The election campaigns had begun, and the left had taken up political weapons too. The political left felt this was the time to get equal rights, at least more rights, for the poor, the indigenous and immigrants.
Activists, trade unions and the only leftist political party in the Confederate Assembly, the Unionist Party [4], held a meeting in Tlucalpo, a small village in the Ichihuexopan mountains where an indigenous leftist uprising was going on for years now.

Social activists, trade unionists, landless peasants movements, a Unionist Party delegation, a delegation from the Communist Party of Tzetxuhoan, a feminist delegation, a delegation from the ''United Immigrants for Equal Civil Rights Movement'' and a delegation of the rebels from the ''Indigenous Front of National Liberation'' came together in a field in Tlucalpo.

The first speaker was Amaya de Bolívar, spokesperson for the Unionist Party.

Amaya de Bolívar

Men, women,

Thank you for being here at this conference from the Left in a country which is being transformed into ''Batavia.'' The country where colonists are more equal than other people, the country where the neoliberal Right holds itself in power with false promises about democracy, justice and equality.

We stand here on rebel soil, where the people have lost every confidence in the government: a government which was not their government, but a government which was imposed upon them. Today is one of those days on which one can make a difference. We came here with one purpose: Change. And that change is possible. Never, the conservative grip on their own manipulated democracy has been so weak. The Pluralists could win the parliamentary elections, and then it is up to us from the Left to convince them of not only giving us more rights, but to give us what we deserve: EQUAL RIGHTS!!!

Amaya de Bolívar spoke fierce, but she realized that she did not have full support from the other delegations. Her ideas and words were different from what the rebels believed, from what the communists believed, from what the other movements believed. Amaya knew that they saw her as another politician, with her own political agenda. She was not one of them. These people often spoke about ''the Left from below'', in other words, leftists organized by the poor themselves and not through political parties and such. Amaya de Bolívar was to them just another ''leftist from above''.

A spokesperson for the Indigenous Front of National Liberation stood up to make a statement.

Frente Indígena de Liberacion Nacional

Companeros and Companeras Support Bases, FILN Militant and Insurgents:
Brothers from National and International Civil Society:

Through my voice speaks the voice of the Indigenous Front of National Liberation.

Our oldest of our old recount that the most first of these lands saw that the 'dzules', the powerful, had come to teach us fear, they had come to make the flowers wither, and, so that the flower of the powerful might live, they despoiled and bled ours.

Our most ancient say that the life of the powerful has grown withered, that the hearts of its flowers are dead, that they stretched it all to the breaking point, that they harm and swill the flowers of others.

Our first who came before us recount and tell that the first flower of this soil took the color of the earth so that it would not die, so that the small might resist and guard the seed in their heart, so that, with heart like earth, another world would be born.

Not the most first world, not the world the powerful withered.

Another world. A new one. A good one.

"Dignity" is the name of that first flower, and many steps must be taken in order for the seed to find the heart of everyone and, in the great land of all colors, for that world which everyone calls "tomorrow" to finally be born.

Today it is dignity which is taking up, through our hands, this flag.
Up until now there has been no place in it for us, those who are the color of the earth.
Up until now we have waited for the others, who take shelter under it, to accept that the history which waves it is ours as well.
We, indigenous Tzetxuhoanis, are indigenous and we are Tzetxuhoanis.

But the gentleman who speaks much and hears little, the one who governs, offers us lies and not a flag.
Ours is the march of indigenous dignity.
The march of those of us who are the color of the earth and the march of all of those who are all the colors of the heart of the earth.
Seven years ago indigenous dignity asked this flag for a place within it.
Then the color of the earth which we are spoke with fire.
The Dzul, the powerful, whose color is of money which makes the earth reek, responded with lies and fire.
But then we saw other voices and heard other colors.
These others did not strike at the day, nor did they affront the night, their throats were not twisted, nor slack their mouths which spoke the word.

Brothers are those whose colors unite us.
With them, with the brother colors, walks today the color of the earth.
It walks with dignity, and with dignity it seeks its place within the flag.
The powerful have their government, but their kings are false.
Their throats are twisted, and slack is the mouth of the one who commands and orders.
There is no truth in the words of the dzules, of the powerful.
Today we are walking so this Tzetxuhoani flag will know that it is ours, and instead they offer us the cloth of pain and misery.

Today we are walking for a good government, and they offer us discord.
Today we are walking for justice, and they offer us charity.
Today we are walking for liberty, and they offer us the slavery of debts.
Today we are walking for the end of death, and they offer us a peace of deafening lies.
Today we are marching for life.
Today we are marching for justice.
Today we are marching for liberty.
Today we are marching for democracy.

...Today we are marching for this flag.

We are not alone in raising our voice in order to open the ears of the gentleman of much talking and little listening, the one who governs.
There are many voices walking so that the one who reigns will be silent and listen.
All the steps are needed, all the voices necessary.

With everyone, this is what we want: a place in this flag.

These steps of ours have name, the voice we speak has word: this is the march of indigenous dignity, the march of the color of the earth.

Democracy!
Liberty!
Justice!

(original text from Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos)

The leftist meeting carried on, while action was undertaken not far from there.

Selva Utilxalapa

Ernesto Carrasco marched with his old boots through the rough jungles of the Ichihuexopan mountains. His feet were blistered, so were the feet of his comrades. They were marching for days now, in order to reach villages outside the Rebel territory. To reach those places, they had to go around Tzetxuhoani military bases, that were there to keep the Ichihuexopan rebels where they were.

Ernesto Carrasco and his old comrades in arms from the Vertadorian EMR were exiled by the new Vertadorian junta, and decided to use their time to aid this leftist rebellion in Ichihuexopan. The past years, Ernesto and his friends spent time on writing essays, gathering weapons, intelligence gathering, and the finding of basic supplies such as food, medicins and fresh water. The Confederate government tried to cut off the Rebel territory from all supplies, electricity, medical treatment and whatever you can think of.

Ernesto came to these mountains as a hard line marxist, he had always been a marxist. It was the marxist inside him that made him lead the Vertadorian revolution. But his doctrine he always believed in, was changing. He was learning from the indigenous rebels in Ichihuexopan, and he learned about their ideas and practices.

For now, Ernesto concentrated on spreading the proclamation a revolution from below. It was to mobilize more people who were different, to join the struggle for a world where all who are different can have a common tomorrow of democracy, liberty and justice. A world where all worlds fit.

1. Pluralist Party, Tzetxuhoani political party with neoliberal agenda and that demands more rights for officially the ''poor'', which comes down to immigrants and indigenous.

2. Calvin Attwater, president for the past 15 years. Known for his very conservative policy.

3. Confederate Assembly, lower house in the Confederate legislative body.

4. Unionist Party, socialist party that seeks to transform the confederation into a federation (union), and that demands equal rights for indigenous and immigrants.

Rebels come to clash with military

Posted Image
(Military convoy from the Rapid Reaction Force near the Selva Utilxalapa)

In the Ichihuexopan rebel region, the north-west of our confederation, rebels came to clash with the established military units. The military reports that shots were fired from the Utilxalapa jungle on a Confederal military camp by armed rebels. Two soldiers were wounded. The gunfight between the Rapid Reaction Force and the rebels carried on for three hours. The military claims five rebels have been killed in the violence.

This was the most violent event that occurred in the rebel territories between rebels and the authorities since their initial uprising.
A few years ago, a leftist indigenous paramilitary group rose up against the state of Ichihuexopan, against the Confederal government of Tzetxuhoan and against ''those in power''. Since then, the Confederal Army was deployed in the rebel regions to lock the rebellion up in its own territory. The military thinks these shootings were an attempt by the rebels to move out of their own territory to bring their uprising to other parts of Tzetxuhoan.

Since the elections, millions of activists, leftists and indigenous have expressed their support for the rebellion - leading to very tense social-political situations throughout the entire country.

Rebel violence escalates

Posted Image
(troops from the Rapid Reaction Force using choppers to reinforce other troubled units)

Violence in the Ichihuexopan rebel region is escalating, says the Confederal military. A few days ago, armed rebels attacked a military camp near Ichihuexopan, and violence is ongoing. The military increased the amount of patrols done per day, which resulted in attacks by rebels on military patrols and convoys. Six soldiers of the Rapid Reaction Force have been killed during attacks by the rebel armies from Ichihuexopan.

The victims are the 21 years old sergeant Mike Kendall, the 19 years old private Willem Dekkers, 20 years old corporal Alan Bouwmeester, the 27 years old sergeant and father of two children, Danny Riley and the 23 years old twin brothers Jan and Niko Zandvoort.

At this moment, a heavy battle is going on between rebels and soldiers. A group of armed rebels has encircled a military camp in the jungle, the gunfight is ongoing for two hours now. The rebels use RPG's, grenades, mortars and full automatic assault rifles. The CST air force is preparing military choppers to support the trapped units from the Rapid Reaction Force.

President Ackerman has asked the international community for foreign intervention to stop the violence in the Ichihuexopan region.

The Elebeneese Empire would be willing to spare some of the famous Elvini Marines to help maintain order in Tzetxuhoan, if it is accepted. The unit is underused. Although Eleben is officially pacifist militarily, this is different, and doesn't need to reach public knowledge.

Elebeneese intervention would be much appreciated by president Ackerman. The rebels see Confederal military as enemies, and won't stop using violence as long as the military is deployed there. Tzetxuhoan needs a ''neutral'' military force to bring order to the region.

A plane containing twenty or so Elvini Marines are currently en route from the Yamukan Icelands to Tzetxuhoan. The Elebeneese are eager to show the world we are a force of good, and will help those in need, to create peace. As with the Vertadoríans and the Irastanis, any citizen from Tzetxuhoan seeking refuge will be welcome to fly back on the plane to Eleben.

The violence since Elebeneese intervention only increased. The indigenous rebel armies have taken up guerilla strategy, and their units are led by the infamous Ernesto Carrasco and his own Vertadorian comrades.

The Rapid Reaction Force, an elite marine unit, was responsible for maintaining oder in this part of Tzetxuhoan, but now after several years, it had finally escalated in a full war with the rebel guerillas. Weeks ago, the first shots were fired between rebels and military, and now the Rapid Reaction Force had the support from the air force, artillery and battle tanks.

Frequently, their patrols were ambushed by guerillas, ammunition and uniforms were taken, and medical supplies.
Now that these regions were declared as high conflict zones, media were told to stay away.

14 Confederal soldiers had been killed, and only two kills on enemy side were confirmed. Despite having one of the most modern militaries in Renatia, the CST armed forces were not effective in fighting the guerillas. The guerillas moved very quick, they fought very daring - the military command seriously believed Ernesto Carrasco was indeed leading the guerillas. After all, there were no other people around the region with experience in guerilla warfare.

-Selva Selva Utilxalapa, Ichihuexopan rainforest (northwest Tzetxuhoan)-

Ernesto Carrasco, famous leader of the Vertadorian Revolution and several other revolutionary wars in Eleben, Agomba and now Tzetxuhoan marched with his unit through the dense rainforest of Ichihuexopan. He began to notice he was not the young student anymore, like he was during the Vertadorian revolution. It was twenty years later now. And as promised, Ernesto would spend the rest of his life fighting for justice. During the Vertadorian Revolutionary war, Ernesto was young and rash. His charismatic appearance made his campaign a success. Now he had been transformed into a middle aged man, with only one clear goal: Revolution for all peoples.

When Ernesto and his brothers began their revolutionary war, around 23Æ, they believed they could return to the normal student life after the revolution. Instead of that, they stayed together to fight all over Renatia. It was a true miracle they were still alive.

Ernesto looked behind him, and he noticed his men were exhausted. They needed to walk another ten kilometers to the next safe point. But the men would probably give him a punch if he wanted them to keep on walking.

''Compañeros, this is a good moment to rest. Drink something, take a look at your blistered feet. We continue the march tomorrow, early in the morning.'' said Ernesto.
He sat down on the ground, right in the middle of an anthill. Ernesto scolded, whiped off his pants and sat down on a different spot. He double checked before he sat down: no tarantulas, no anthills, no snakes - a clear spot. Then he took a cigar, and reached for his radio. Ernesto contacted his brother.

''Hola, this is Enrique....who am I talking to, come in, come in. Over.'' said the voice of Ernesto's youngest brother, Enrique.

''Rico, itsa me, Ernesto!''
''Hola, Nesto Vitor Carrasco de Calleja!'' shouted Enrique.
''Hows the situation over there?''
''Here? Everything fine in Tlucalpo. That leftist conference we held: worth nothing. Amaya de Bolívar is not a revolutionary, that simply sucks. She and her Unionists are the only leftists with significant influence, but she refuses to join a coalition of revolutionary movements against the state of Tzetxuhoan. Oh...and they bombed us last night - no damage or casualties though.''
''Okay, thanks. I'm gonna call for Alejandro now. Over and out.''

Alejandro and his unit didn't have any more news. Ernesto hoped that Juan, another comrade from Vertadoria, had some luck in mobilizing rural populations surrounding the Ichihuexopan region.
The struggle for democracy, liberty and justice was for all Tzetxuhoanis.

Students demontrate against the systemPosted Image

Greentown - Confederate States of Tzetxuhoan

Thousands of students from the Greentown Autonomous University of Tzetxuhoan (GAUT) [1] have demonstrated in the capital, New Hope City today. The students demanded equal rights for all in Tzetxuhoan, an end of the war against the indigenous rebellion in Ichihuexopan and the resignation of the Pluralist government under president Ackerman.

When riot police showed up, the demonstration turned violent. Hundreds of students clashed with police forces. Many cars were burned, local shops were destroyed and stones were ripped out of the road to be thrown at the police. One police officer got seriously injured after he was hit by a molotov cocktail.

Demonstrations have also been held in Greentown itself, and in Ashton. In Cape Coloniale, deep conservative territory, a demonstration was held by students from the National Protestant University (NPU) [2]. They demanded the government to knock down ''leftist aggression''.

Since the Ichihuexopan rebellion, many important social issues have been raised, causing serious polarization between the ''left'' and the ''right''.

An emotional president Ackerman had this to say on the increasing rebel violence in Ichihuexopan and the current political tension in the Confederation:

...I feel ashamed! I feel ashamed for the behavior of a small portion of our population! Leftist radicals have lost themselves, incited by terrorists in Ichihuexopan and Amaya de Bolívar, spokesperson for the leftist Unionist Party. Far right ''conservatives'' who want me to shoot every leftist who makes use of his freedom of speech. Communists, socialists, anarchists, civil rights activits - all forming one bloc like they are about to fight a war or something....

Let me tell you this: I will no longer tolerate this chaos and extremism in my country anymore. This is not democracy....This is not how freedom of speech was meant! This is abusing freedom of speech to express hate, extremism - Radicalism!

In several rural parts of Tzetxuhoan, movements have been formed that now officially declare support for the Ichihuexopan rebellion. They call for a further spread of rebellion, and for a national revolution against neoliberalism for humanity.

1. GAUT: Greentown Autonomous University of Tzetxuhoan, large university in Greentown, often ascociated with leftist politics, activism and environmentalism.

2. NPU: National Protestant University, university in Cape Coloniale, bulwark of conservatism in Tzetxuhoan.

Uprisings continue in the West

ZOALTXIL - Violence in the Zoaltxil, Utilxalapa and Ichihuexopan regions is ongoing and escalating. The Rapid Reaction Force has had multiple violent confrontations with guerilla and rebel armies, and is met with hostility by local communities in the regions. Since a few years now, several indigenous and agrarian communities in the west of Tzetxuhoan rose up in arms against the state.

This morning, President Ackerman officially declared the state of emergency in the rebel regions. The rebel regions have become a 'no-go' area for press and civilians, and more troops have been deployed in the area to deal with the guerillas. Minister of Defence, Peter-Paul Hendrix, has sent the Special Combat Operations Regiment (SCOR) to the conflict zones. They are specialized in counterinsurgency and trained in jungle warfare.

Until now, more than 54 soldiers have died in the conflict with indigenous rebels.

Students Uprising joins Ichihuexopan Revolt!
President Ackerman declares national state of emergency
Posted Image

Autonomous Students Uprising Spokesperson

Today is the day that the Autonomous Students of Tzetxuhoan officially declare their support for the indigenous Ichihuexopan uprising, declare war upon the governments and big capital that dominate our country. Today we resist. We say no. We say no to those in power, and we turn our backs to them.

We have joined the Ichihuexopan uprising, we have joined their struggle. Along with our brothers and sisters from Ichihuexopan and many others, we will walk the path of dignity to a different world where all who are below and other will have a common tomorrow of Democacy! Liberty! Justice!

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a revolution.

A few thousand students occupied several buildings in Greentown and New Hope City. Students, armed with clubs, knifes, molotov cocktails and even automatic assault rifles have occupied bank buildings, a university building and a town hall. Their demands are uncertain, but it is known that they want President Ackerman to end all hostilities against the Ichihuexopan rebels.

In Ichihuexopan, thousands of indigenous indians fight for their rights since a few years. Their rebellion is ongoing, and they claim to be harassed and persecuted by the Tzetxuhoani military that is stationed there.

The indigenous rebels have formed a leftist bloc with other non-parliamentary organizations, such as many radical student organizations, civil rights movements, trade unions and an increasing number of other indigenous rebel movements.

In the Tzekuitopan, Exhupan and even in Quetzexapan regions, several thousands of indigenous indians have officially delcared their war on the governments and capitalism. They claim to have joined the leftist struggle of Ichihuexopan from below.

President Ackerman is currently consulting the national security council. It is expected that he will ask for foreign intervention to stop the rebellions all over Tzetxuhoan.

Ichihuexopan rebel communiqué

Ichihuexopan, Tzetxuhoan

Brothers and Sisters of Parundor, Agabia, Isrenia, the Northern Islands and Vaaryn:

Welcome to the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northeast.

Let us introduce ourselves.

We are the Ichihuexopan Liberation Army.

For ten years, we lived in these mountains, preparing to fight a war.

In these mountains, we built an army.

Below, in the cities and plantations, we did not exist.

Our lives were worth less than machines and animals.

We were like stones, like weeds in the road.

We were silenced.

We were faceless.

We were nameless.

We had no future.

We did not exist.

To the powers that be, today known internationally by the word "neoliberalism", we did not count, we did not produce, we did not buy, we did not sell.
We were a useless figure in the accounts of big capital.

Then we went to the mountains to find ourselves and see if we could alleviate our pain in being forgotten stones and weeds.
Here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani northeast, our dead live on. Our dead that live in the mountains know many things.
They speak to us of their death, and we hear them.
Coffins speak and tell us another story that comes from yesterday and points toward tomorrow.

The mountains spoke to us, the Zuiltal, we common and ordinary people.
We are simple people, like the powerful tell us.

Every day and the following night, the powerful want us to dance the X-tol and repeat their brutal conquest.
The false man, rules our lands and has giant war machines that spread pain and death among us.
The trickster government sends us the liars who fool our people and make them forgetful.

This is why we became soldiers.

This is why we remain soldiers.

Because we want no more death and trickery for our people, because we.want no more forgetting

The mountain told us to take up arms so we would have a voice.

It told us to cover our faces so we would have a face.

It told us to forget our names so we could be named.

It told us to protect our past so we would have a future.

In the mountains, the dead live: our dead.

This is what we are.

The Ichihuexopan Liberation Army.

The voice that arms itself to be heard.

The face that hides itself to be seen.

The name that hides itself to be named.

The red star that calls out to humanity and the Renatia to be heard, to be seen, to be named.

The tomorrow that is harvested in the past.

Behind our black mask.
Behind our armed voice.
Behind our unnamable name.
Behind what you see of us.
Behind this, we are you.

Behind this , we are the same simple and ordinary men and women that are repeated in all races, painted in all colors, speak in all languages and live in all places.

The same forgotten men and women.

The same excluded.

The same untolerated.

The same persecuted.

The same as you.

Behind this, we are you.

Behind our masks is the face of all excluded women.

Of all the forgetten native people.

Of all the persecuted homosexuals.

Of all the despised youth.

Of all the beaten migrants.

Of all those imprisoned for their words and thoughts.

Of all the humiliated workers.

Of all those dead from neglect.

Of all the simple and ordinary men and women who don't count, who aren't seen, who are nameless, who have no tomorrow.

The voice of the mountain has spoken, saying that the real men and women will live free when they are those who commit to the five-pointed star.

When the five peoples make themselves one in the star.

When the five parts of humanity which are Renatia find themselves and find the other.

When all the five find their place and the place of the other.

Today, thousands of different roads that come from the five continents meet here, in the mountains of Northwest Tzetxuhoan, to join their steps.

Today, thousands of words from the five continents are silent here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, to hear each other and hear themselves.

Today, thousands of struggles from the five continents struggle here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, for life and against death.

Today, thousands of colors from the five continents are painted here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, to announce a future of inclusion and tolerance.

Today, thousands of hearts from the five continents are alive here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, for humanity and against neoliberalism.

Today, thousands of human beings from the five continents shout "enough" here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, enough of conformism, of doing nothing, of cynicism, of egoism, the modern god.

Today, thousands of small worlds from the five continents are attempting a beginning here, in the mountains of the Tzetxuhoani Northwest, the beginning of the construction of a new and good Renatia, that is, a Renatia which admits all these worlds.

A Renatia where all who are below will have

DEMOCRACY
LIBERTY
