History

Region (plot) 44, once was a plain desert, with several nomadic tribes, going from one place to another. The first city to emerge was the city of Iram. In Iram, a king ruled this polis with success. His name was Zaman the Great. A great king from the Samara dynasty.

Zaman the Great had built the greatest army in its history, and conquered all the other kingdoms, duchies and poleis. Poleis like Sinbad, Shahrazad and Abdullah fell into Zamani hands. Zaman the Great had this much success, due to his own skills, but also thanks to the gods, who had sent him a lamp with a djinn. The djinn made the Zamani army invincible, and made Zaman the richest man in the kingdom.

Zaman the Great had created an empire, and crowned himself as Shah (emperor). His dynasty, the Samara dynasty, had extinct after ruling almost a 1000 years. When the last Samara emperor died, a war broke out between rivaling aristocrats who claimed to have right on the throne. A succession war with two major factions started: the Nejem dynasty, and the Ajam dynasty, a royal family from Azurbajan.

The succession war took ten years, with Akeem Ibn-al Nejem as the new sovereign emperor of Zaman. Under the Nejem dynasty, the Zamani wealth and power even grew. Two hundred years later, the throne is still in the hands of the Nejem. The current shahbanu (empress) is Minu Nejem. Empress Minu is known for her beauty, but also for her cruel reign.

Zaman developed a culture which is very close to the Arab-Indian culture, the Mughal culture.

First Nejeem ruler in Mughal Zaman.

Language
The Zamani language is old Persian, with strong Marathi and also Urdu influences. During the times of Zaman the Great, the Zamani civilization wrote many documents about Eastern mysticism, folk tales, mathematics and astronomy.

The 1001 Nights is a popular book in Zaman, which contains folk tales of more than 2000 years old.

The Persian language is the result of the domination of Islam in Zaman, what was mostly an Indian empire before Islam came to power.

Religion

Zaman was a Hinduist and Eastern Mysticist empire before Islam. With the rise of Islam, and the Mughal Nejeem dynasty in power, Islam became the state religion. Over the years, religious pluralism was applied to keep the Hindu's, Marathas and others pleased.

Architecture

Zaman had a crappy architecture before Islam, Persian and Mughal influences. But that changed a 1000 years ago when the Nejem dynasty took power. Traditional mysticist and Hindu architecture was combined with Islamic traditions and architecture.
