New economic plans for the next 4 years

The new coalition that forms the Nentsian government, is the ''Progressive Coalition''. A coalition of the election winners LDPPE and the SDRP of Kovacheva. Together these former arch enemies hold 174 of the 300 seats in the Supreme State Duma. Pyotr Nenetskin, leader of the LDPPE has become premier and Kovacheva is the vice-premier and Commissar of Foreign Affairs.

The Nentsian governments after the Kovacheva administration (33-37Æ) have all created huge budget debts. Therefore, austerity is applied by Nenetskin. He wants to grab this opportunity to give the entrepreneurs more economic freedom and to strip the government from needless costs without having to reduce the budgets of healthcare and education. Nenetskin calls it: Social Privatization. The government will reduce its spending in total with $72 billion this year.

The taxes are cut from 42% to 35%, Nenetskin argues that it will increase the purchasing power, it will decrease unemployment and increase the national income.

The military is the biggest victim of the austerity meassurements. Their budget is literally decimated. The military budget of last year was around $100 billion, this year they will have to do it with $54 billion. Commissar of Defence, Mikhail Alexeev (SDRP), said that the military will drastically be reformed too. Quality has the priority above quantity. Currently, 730 000 men serve the Nentsian military. That should be 400 000 by the end of the year.

The government will also economize on administration (9% last year, 7% this year), social wellfare (15% last year, 8% this year), religion (3% last year, 2% this year) and more things.
