The Supreme State Duma will get elected in 2 days (rl), as the former Duma has been dissolved after constitutional changes. Nentsia has changed from a constitutional monarchy, to a Parliamentary monarchy. This means the powers of the Tsar are expanded, and the power of the people is seriously decreased. For more background info:
Participating parties Left-Coalition Made up of: *Nentsian Communist Party (KPN)[major party] *Nentsian Social Democratic Workers Party (NSDRP)[major party] *Kolkhoz i Yedistva Ideology: Communism, Social Democracy, primitive communism Economic Position: Socialist, Collectivist Social Position: Egalitarian Moral Position: Slight Liberal Statements - Economic: Planned Economy - Trade: Protectionism, Autarkism - Religion: Atheist, Secularized - Minority: Full citizenship - War: Anti military Description: This coalition is expected to become the largest in the Supreme State Duma. The Communist Party is a major party, and with the Social Democrats on its side, it is a massive coalition. The Communists dominate the coalition. The smallest partner in the coalition is the Kolkhoz i Yedinstva party. A minor party that persuades a stateless, classless rural society in which the country is structured in small rural communities that are self-sufficient through farming. The Left Coalition gains support from everybody on the left. Workers, students, peasants, unemployed and moderate socialists from the middle class. Also people who are against the constitutional change will vote for this coalition, simply for its opposition against the new system. Monarchist-Coalition Made up of: *Slavophilia Party [major party] *Nenetskiĭ Pravoslavnaya Katolicheskaya Partiya Ideology: Conservatism, Traditionalism, Statism, Catholic Orthodoxy Economic Position: Capitalism Social Position: Authoritarianism Moral Position: Very Conservative Statements - Economic: Laissez Faire - Trade: Protectionism - Religion: Catholic Orthodox - Minority: Limited Citizenship - War: Pro military Description: This coalition is smaller, as it only has 1 major party: Slavophile. But we should not underestimate its chances. The Slavophiles are proud intellectuals, who want the country to follow its own path, different from the rest of Renatia. The Orthodox Church, the Czar and the Nentsian flag is all that matters to them. The Slavophiles seek to unite all Slavs in one empire under the leadership of the Czar. The party enjoys great support among intellectuals, patriots and also the Orthodox Catholic groups in Nentsia. The combination of nationalism and religion by the Slavophiles has proved to be worth of gold in Nentsia. The party is formed and funded by high officials of the Nentsian Orthodox Catholic Church. The church holds 35 million members, and about 80 million believers, making this party a potentially massive party. The Nentsian Orthodox Chruch was banned during the communist era, but it is on the way back. Nentsians need to believe in something. Whether it is fascism, communism or religion, the Nentsians gotta believe. This party knows that and uses religion as a powerful weapon to gain political influence. Nationalist-Coalition Made up of: *Nenetskiy Soyuza [major party] Ideology: Statism, patriotism, populism Economic Position: Capitalism Social Position: Authoritarianism Moral Position: Slight Conservative Statements - Economic: Planned economy/state capitalism - Trade: Autarkic - Religion: Moralist - Minority: Residence - War: Jingoist Description: This coalition is the smallest. It only consists of 1 party. It is the only non-leftist party that opposes the new political system. This party recently emerged in the Nentsian political arena. Thanks to the hard work of its founder, Volya Efimovich Beshmelnitsyn, the new party gained much publicity. The party wants to unify the people of Nentsia, under a powerful state that will care for the people. The Nentsian Union party is known for its critics about the current government, about the ''elite'' that ruins the nation. The Nentsian Union party seeks to establish a healthy society without olichargs and corrupt politicians that currently rule the country. This party gains support from every part of the society, thanks to the use of populism and charismatic leaders such as Beshmelnitsyn.

The results are in: The Monarchist Coalition has 52% of the votes, and gets 156 of the 300 seats in the Supreme State Duma The Left Coalition became second, with 39% of the votes. They hold 117 seats. The Nationalist coalition received 9% of the votes, and holds 27 seats. Both the nationalists and the leftists, especially those of the Communist Party of Nentsia, claim the elections have been rigged in favor of the Monarchists. Supreme Commissar of the Presidium (premier), Vassily Valenkov, stated that nothing unlawfull happened with the election results. He states it is another attempt by the left to demonize the Tsar-batyushka. |
