This is a meeting between President Demi Horta and Earl Mbawe Otokini of the CU, and Prime Minister Alan Beith of Drake Dragon, to discuss green energy and space station plans. The plane landed in Elbrooke Airport, which showed some of the Elvini architecture. The glass walls, marble floors and carvings of past Elvini heroes also showed it's nationality. Demi Horta and Alan Beith passed by many beautiful buildings. The Spiral Towers, the Adu Kahir, were just parts of Elvinio's style. The building they were going to was completely carbon free. One could compare it to a space ship. Three spires soared from the top and enclosed around a golden orb. The sides were made of glass and concrete. As the limo pulled up outside it, even Demi gasped. She had never been to Elbrooke... ![]() Mbawe Otokini came towards them with open arms, a kind smile on his dark face. "Welcome to Elbrooke, friends." Edited by Eleben, 10 Apr 2010, 08:20 PM.

Mbawe took them to a very large room that took up two floors. Below them was the entrance lobby. The room was round with six maps on the walls: each of the Cambrian nations. On them were spots or markings of green. This indicated green plants. "Each of the Cambrian nations is powered by something different," explained Mbawe, gesturing Beith and Horta to a round oak table, "Eleben relies on hydroelectricity. Rondora on air. Sarmana on heated water and so on. What we need to do, Mister Beith, is first work out this. How to power your capital city, major cities, and then large-scale provincial projects. Take Eleben for example. "Morunda is powered by the wave turbines build on the sides of the northern cliffs. Haelo is powered by, as you saw it, the waterfall. Uran-Solón has hot baths, so there is volcanic activity deep beneath the earth. Uran Solón and Meridian are powered by geothermal power. Then we have wind turbines that power the rest of the nation. "As you can see, we use the natural resources. For Morunda we use the wave battered cliffs. In Haelo, the Falls. In Uran-Solón, the geothermal capabilities. Could you tell us about some of the natural occurring landmarks in your nation?" |

"In the north easten coast of my nation there is a vast desert, which we are currentally useing for a large solar panels to collect from the sun, that powers the entire of the north coastal area. The east coast has a large supply of cliffs and natural rock areas. Inland there is a large fresh water lake that speads out into rivers that go the length of the nation. The lake is fed by rain water and from mountain steams. But most of the inland is currentally powered by coal, and gas power stations. However Gem city the nations capital is powered by a nucleur power plant. This same power plant supplies smaller towns near the city. I have been told that my desert part of my nation the furthest inland has a poteniol geothermal energy source. But I have yet to have it checked out completely as I don't know if it can supply the amount of power to the westen area of my nation" |

Demi horta looked at Mbawe, who loved a challenge. "Well your east coast sounds like it can benefit hugely from water power. The cliffs, like Morunda's wave power stations, can power your coastal cities and maybe more. If I'm right, the waves are mighty fierce in Isrenia. "This lake of yours... it sounds very interesting. Would you ever think of making it a large reservoir? Think about it. It could still have tourists. The rivers coming out of it could become waterfalls with dam walls, powering turbines. And to top it, you could take the Sarmish approach." Enthusiastically, Mbawe tapped on a large map of Sarmana on the wall. "The Sarmish government got heaters for their reservoirs and used placed 'heat absorbers' underneath. The heat energy powered cities close to it, and the hydroelectricity powered small towns for miles." "And I'm sure the Elebeneese can spare a scientist or two to help you with possible geothermal energy," added Demi Horta, "Not to mention build some wind turbines on your coasts too." "But don't forget costs, Demi," said Otokini, "Mister Beith. It would take a while to have your nation fully green. We were lucky. Eleben was already green when Elvinio joined it's Empire. Thank their religion for that. But we'd like to help you on that note. "We'll send Elvini engineers over to the Dragon Republic, along with some spare supplies I'm sure we have. This could reduce the cost. All we need is an agreement that you'll open trade with our nation in future times to help our economy." |

"The coast can be largely rough but the Dragonese have become good sailors, on the subject of trade, my nation has always been willing to trade with others, what is it you require trade wise, we have many resouces metals, food, water, wood, gas and oil. Also I'm sure that my nation could possibly provide access for your citzens to come and work, and send money back here, I forgot to mention we have 4 such lakes, 2 on the east coast side and another one just a bit towards the center of the nation" alan said as he looked other the map Edited by Drake, 11 Apr 2010, 12:14 PM.

Mbawe Otokini smiled, "Thank you Mister Beith. The only thing we really need is fruit, our people can't seem to get enough. As you have probably guessed, we can't grow it here in Vaaryn. If we could get fruit, and maybe some metal ore as well, then Cambria will provide you with trade also. "We are a very varying nation. From Elvinio we can send engineers and timber. Sarmana can provide a lot of water and some crops. Rondora, I'm sorry to say, doesn't have a lot to offer with its climate, but Eleben has a fascinating gemstone quarry. Thresia has fish and Peroshia simply has jobs, being the biggest port city in Renatia." |

"Well, I believe that my nation could grow your fruit, we will also provide you with the metal ore we have, mainly my nation is self suffient but I believe from trade we can be better off, we will happily supply you with these goods for the plans. The only resouce we don't have is the gems and by importing your gems we realistise the jewelry industy within my nation" Replied Alan |

Demi Horta smiled at the man, "Sounds like a deal. When Barita Teban gets back we'll work out costs. She has a way with numbers..." she trailed off, "If there isn't anything else, Mister Beith, we shall call it a day. If you have anything to add, do so now." |

"If I remember correctally you have a space station in orbit, my nation has become interested in space recentally and we would like to have a look at your plans, so we can possibly build our own, in a effort to learn more about space" alan asked demi |

Mbawe clicked a switch and began typing on a laptop. At once the map of Rondora became a picture of a space station. It occured to Demi that all the maps must be screens/![]() "This is yet another feat of Elvini Engineering," the Earl said proudly, "The Gaia I. If I remember correctly, it's because of this bugger we're in Cold War. But, how and ever, here is our latest plan for a space station:" The screen showing Peroshia also changed to a second space station. ![]() "Now, I'm sure we could collaborate... there are more plans we have with some other space station ideas. However we scrapped them because we voted on this, the Tethis I. But here are some we could help you with..." The screens of Eleben, Sarmana and Thresia also changed into three other space stations. Neither had been built, and each were just a CGI of what it may look like. ![]() ![]() ![]() "Bear in mind you don't have to choose one of them. The Elvini people just like showing off," Demi said. Mbawe laughed. "Also, you can draw up your own plans. The Elvini people will be happy to assist. Just remember the cost. The Tethis I will take at least eight to ten years to build at the economy we're at. And we may not be able to start construction anytime soon. But we will help you build yours. For a small fee of course. Again, we'll work out the costs once President Teban is back from Aus'tiana." |
