"I beleive we can now start nominations, if so I would like to nominate Drake for the position of the seceratary of the AFUNP. I nominate him because Drake was a colonel in the millitary so he has knowledge about armed forces and so he would know how to run the AF of the UNP and as a former leader of a nation which had contracts with facist nations so he would know how to deal with their leaders such as the sultan of deltoria. Drake is also a very good tactician and in my eyes would be a very strong canidate for the position of secretary of the AFUNP" said Mr Blows |

Baltar Sha'krios stood and read his nation's nominations off of a prepared sheet of paper. "The Democratic Republic of Aus'tiana nominates Gerard Bal'hass for the position of Chairman and Kaihl Ver'nek for Secretary of Foreign Affairs." "Mr. Bal'hass has been a valuable advisor in the Unity Party's structure since its conception, and has been a valuable leader in the founding of our great country. We believe wholeheartedly that his leadership skills will be used to their full potential in directing the UNP." "Mr. Ver'nek has been a National Justice for over 10 years, even preceding the creation of Aus'tiana, who has shown in countless examples his prowess at impartial and fair judgment in all cases small or large." OOC if in the highly unlikely case that both of them are voted in then I'm giving someone else RP rights to one of the characters Edited by Freeman, 13 Mar 2010, 10:31 PM.

OOC: You may still post nominations for the UNP positions, but I'm moving on to the next subject. IC Subject 2; Establish a standard protocol on how we react on the occurrence of violence in Renatia. The Nentsian minister of foreign affairs, Roman Bogdanin, stepped on stage to speak. He was a short, round man, his clothes a size too big and an awful tie. Violence is very common in Renatia. We could almost say the region has been in constant war since a few decades. It all started with the downfall of the RASCAL alliance, the fall of Communist Nentsia, Communist Diddly Squitt and the rise of Karvu Hecktash in Eleben. The League of Fasces was just a small league during those times, but very underestimated. After a terrible World War 2, in which Bolshinist Nentsia and Hecktash Eleben played horrible roles, Nentsia knew it was time for change. The UNP was to prevent wars, and to defend the innocent nations against imperialism. But we should have a standard protocol on how we deal with war seeking nations. We need a procedure to deal with situations in which countries are being threatened by imperialism, or situations where war seems inevitable. We suggest, that put every, and we mean every, conflict into discussion here in the UNP. Or at least the UNP councellors of foreign affairs, military and the chairman have a look at every military conflict. They must then decide wether they will intervene or not. (of course the decision is based on what type of conflict we have). Then we have certain stages of intervention: -Diplomatic negotiation (we try to get both sides of the conflict to make or want to maintain the peace) -Diplomatic sanctions (More suitable for aggressors that don't want to cooperate in making peace) -AFUNP intervention (If the conflict becomes really nasty, and sanctions don't work) We would like to hear what you think, and if there are suggestions to improve the UNP procedures? |
