Omar Tamir walked in to see the Deltorian Sultan, he shook the mans hand vigorously as it was Waziri morals to be respectful to foreign royalty. "Good to be here, your highness" He told him as he took a seat next to the Sovientese Commisar. |

OOC: lets just start this. remember all Parundor nations should be here if they want to be apart of this. Ali stood up as the last person walked through the door, "Hello fellow Parundor leaders, and welcome to the city of Sinai. I have invited you all here to discuss the important matter of trade within our continent. We Parundorian nations hold greatly diverse resources and cultures, and I believe it is a shame that this is not spread and traded." Ali walked over to the Parundor map on the wall as he said some more words, " I believe that for the growth of not only our nations, but also for the growth of the total Parundor economy. So this is why I propose to you, that we all build a super international highway that links all Parundor nations together." A large screen was then lowered to show the route the highway would take, "I believe the highway should start here in the city of Sinai, and continue to the city of Ostkap Valsir. This highway would zigzag through the entire continent going through all Parundor nations, excluding the ones on the sub-continents, and through the largest trade cities of our nations. This highway would be an enourmous task, taking more than a decade, but this can only be to the benefit of all our nations. So what are your thoughts?" |

"I agree to it. But, i ask that the lay out in Gebeta be changed. The autobahn, not sure what its called out of Gebeta, runs through several bases, and a major bunker complex, for civilians, but still a major one. |

The Minister of Trade in Moranus Vera looked at the map. "I have no problem with this. If the highway goes near enough to the trading city of Avoria, of course. And, of course, one must excuse the lack of cars in my Kingdom." |

"Well, of course, the highway may be rerouted however you wish, it will be going through your country so it is your choice where it goes." Ali looked at the Morani and said, "I will make sure the highway goes through Avoria." |

Amazingly unnoticed until now, a striking man stood up. Muscular and tanned, sporting a gruesome scar down his left cheek, yet wearing a designer suit, the man would look much more at home standing outside a nightclub rahter than in a diplomatic conference. He looked around the room, making sure everyone was paying him attention before he began. "Before I begin, my friends." He said, in strongly Terrosianan (Spanish) accented Renatian (English). "I would just like to say what a pleasure it is to be here with fellow power-holders such as yourselves, and what a shame it is that my High Lord was unable to attend, sending me instead." He paused. "Now, this...this...highway is truly an ambitious project. It will require a very, very large amount of money, which I am doubtful that some nations will be able to provide, never mind provide the money required for the upkeep of the project upon completion. Another problem I see is that it excludes the Parundorian islands, including my own. However, I would like to propose a solution to this problem. We can all see that a bridge across would be impractical due to the restrictions on shipping that would occur. A tunnel would be even less do-able, as it would most likely cost even more than the Parundor Canal, that great folly of excess, even adjusting for inflation. Instead, various Terrosianan companies are willing to charter frequent ferry services to and from the continent, for a nominal fee of course. Terrosiana itself currently has a well kept highway system, maintained by various companies with the blessing of the local Lords. Connections with Vertadoria are not so good, thanks to that nation's years of civil war, coupled with the corrupt regime currently in place. The border Lords, myself included, would be willing to swallow the differences in the name of trade though." |

A man in a green uniform while smoking a cigar in the corner of the room began to speak. ''Vertadoria supports this ambitious project, and we can use the trade.'' he said. ''But el presidente urged me to stay loyal to my principles. And my principles tell me not to drink tea with corrupt criminals that are ruling Terrosiana at the moment. And above that, Vertadoria hasn't got the money to invest in this project. Our government deficit has allready grown to an astronomical size, Escarra tries to conceal it. We need financial support to take part in this project.'' said the man. His facial expression was a mix of arrogance and unpredictability. The Zamani delegate, Firuz Ibn-al Hakim, agreed on every word of Deltoria. Zaman hadn't got the financial means to participate in the project....But in Zaman nobody cared about that. They would just use some slaves and some raw materials they could find....yes everything was gonna be okay. The Nentsian delegates were present, and they agreed to the plan of building the highway. The Nentsians were only a little bit worried about all the foreign transport via Nentsia. Nentsians didn't like foreigners, that would mean people from other nations would get to see the mess within Nentsia. Corruption, decay, poverty and since more recent times...terrorism. |
