Empress Minu.

Region (plot) 44, once was a plain desert, with several nomadic tribes, going from one place to another. The first city to emerge was the city of Iram. In Iram, a king ruled this polis with success. His name was Zaman the Great. A great king from the Samara dynasty.

Zaman the Great had built the greatest army in its history, and conquered all the other kingdoms, duchies and poleis. Poleis like Sinbad, Shahrazad and Abdullah fell into Zamani hands. Zaman the Great had this much success, due to his own skills, but also thanks to the gods, who had sent him a lamp with a djinn. The djinn made the Zamani army invincible, and made Zaman the richest man in the kingdom.

Zaman the Great had created an empire, and crowned himself as Shah (emperor). His dynasty, the Samara dynasty, had extinct after ruling almost a 1000 years. When the last Samara emperor died, a war broke out between rivaling aristocrats who claimed to have right on the throne. A succession war with two major factions started: the Nejem dynasty, and the Ajam dynasty, a royal family from Azurbajan.

The succession war took ten years, with Akeem Ibn-al Nejem as the new sovereign emperor of Zaman. Under the Nejem dynasty, the Zamani wealth and power even grew. Two hundred years later, the throne is still in the hands of the Nejem. The current shahbanu (empress) is Minu Nejem. Empress Minu is known for her beauty, but also for her cruel reign. Although she doesn’t care about politics (she leaves that to Grand Vizier Firuz Ibn-al Hakim), Minu is very popular. She thanks her popularity to the prestigious name she carries. Nothing more. She hardly ever leaves her palace, which she calls Persepolis. Persepolis is a small town on its own, made of marble, gold, mosaic and gemstones. It is a small town, close to the Zaman jungle, an oasis in the desert. Persepolis houses five different palaces, huge swimming pools, a private zoo and many gardens.

The young empress Minu (23 yrs) is known for her cruelty and sexual practices. Every night she picks a slave to sleep with, that can be either a man or a woman. After that night, the slave she slept with will be decapitated. Her advisors are worried about the future of the Zaman empire, as the empress is not showing any interest in finding a heir to the throne. Some say she cannot get pregnant…ssssh…you did not get that from me. There are also rumours about Minu having entire orgies and sexual parties....ssshh.

Zaman is also known for its morbid sense of humor. In the capital, Shahrazad, lies a replica of an old roman amphitheatre. It is called: Amphitheatrum Nejeem, or in short: Nejeem Arena. The arena has a capacity of 60 400 spectators. It shows gladiator fights, Venationes, executions, chariot racing and much more. The only reason for empress Minu to leave the palace, is to watch the atrocities in the Arena.
