((When posting this, please delete anything in parentheses)) Aldesia Weyr A non-canon DRoP RP forum, mid-advanced. We welcome RPers of all levels and you don't have to know anything about DRoP to join! ----------- Established in the Southern Continent by Riders outcast by the Northern Weyrs, Aldesia Weyr was the first Southern Weyr to be established, but as Turns passed, it was quickly forgotten. Built within a valley, Aldesia Weyr as had to suffer through mysterious plaques and diseases, voracious felines attacking their herdbeasts and other dangers the untamed Southern Continent had to offer them, yet the Weyr held and it's forces grew in number, rising to meet the menace of Thread when it threatened both Weyr and it's holds. Just as Aldesia Weyr reached the peak of its power, a lethal disease of unknown origin swept through, crippling the weyr and all of the surrounding holdings. The Weyr even losts both Weyrwoman and Weyrleader, and yet, it survived, just barely, but broken and hopes dashed as Threadfall destroyed the lands they were to protect. In this time of weakness, discontent holdfolk formed a sort of 'resistance', to overthrow and chase off the dragonriders, disappointed and outraged at the weyr's sudden fall into near ruin. They did not want the riders and would do anything to get rid of them.... Yet, hope remained for the weyr in the from of the Gold Caseth's last clutch, bearing 2 queen eggs. The clutch successfully hatched and all the dragons Impressed, starting Aldesia Weyr anew with the promise of revival and new-found hope. Yet more trouble stirs.... Tension between Cerosia Hold and Aldesia Weyr have been strained as the current Lord Holder throws blame at the riders for vanishing livestock and other goods. Could this be the work of the Renegades that have sworn an ultimatum to rid Pern of the dragonriders? Are you one of the sworn protectors of Pern... or the one to help bring down the Dragonriders once and for all?
