Username: wingrider Character Number: 1 Name: Otara Age: 16 Gender: Female Rank: Weyrling Location: Relasun Weyr Sexual Preference: Heterosexual Partner: None Appearance: Otara has soft, black curls, falling in a rippling mass to her lower back. The narrow, twisting strands frame her heart-shaped face and light brown eyes. Her lightly tanned skin is stretched smoothly over a wide-hipped build with plenty of curves. Otara's not afraid to use them, and a gently teasing light is often found in her eye. She has very white, even teeth, and dimples on both sides. All of them are frequently seen. When it comes to clothing, Otara is no slacker. Coming from a wealthy family, she has always enjoyed jewel-bright clothes and detailed, high-quality needlework. As it happens, she has some skill at the craft herself, and, now that she is a Candidate, can occasionally be found embroidering small details into a tunic or dress - which she has plenty of. She has quite the stash of differently coloured threads, and is rather fond of customizing a friend's - or stranger's - clothing. Personality: Otara is kind, fun-loving, and considerably flirtatious. She's not the sort to be tied down to any one man, and could easily be termed a social butterfly - she flits from one group to another. She's been compared to a green firelizard on several occasions. She's not afraid of physical contact, so long as it doesn't go 'too far'. She did have some values instilled in her by her parents, after all! She just likes men and shows it. She isn't so good at taking orders from women - she's used to men always being in charge and she likes things to stay the same. She's still getting used to the idea of possibly becoming a dragonrider herself, in fact, despite having been at the Weyr for a number of sevendays. She greatly enjoys what she considers 'feminine tasks'; embroidery and needlework. History: Otara was born to wealthy parents of Relasun Weyr. She was the fourth in line of five siblings. Her older two older siblings apprenticed to the Dragonhealing craft and left to Journey to the other Weyrs before she was born. She was born when the most recent plague had stopped. And then her younger sibling died, only a few days after being born. Otara apprenticed to the Healer craft at the age of 12 to try and help with the remnants of the plague, and to ease the suffering of others. She did her best to make her foster mother proud of her. She worked very hard at everything. She secretly wished to impress a dragon, a green she preferred. But she never said anything about it to anyone. She stood for the clutch on the sands. She simply waited. When the gold egg hatched, Otara gasped at the most beautiful gold hatchling she had ever seen. But the gold made for another female Candidate. Otara was not happy. She had held hopes of impressing the gold dragonet. But a green dragonet had other plans for Otara. My Otaramine! Your starving Belesseith is waiting for you! This character has been abandoned; the player has not logged in for more than one month (with no warning and absentee announcement), missed a role call, or has not played a newly Impressed character, despite opportunities and warnings, for at least two weeks. Owning player may still reclaim the character, provided that they explain the abandonment adequately (i.e. lost power unexpectedly). |
