Character Number: 3

Name: Belind (Bellind)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Rank: Journeyman Smith
Location: Relasun Weyr
Sexual Preference: Girls
Partner: None

Appearance:

Belind has a pale tannish complexion that offsets his black hair and narrow dark eyes weirdly. His hair is his favorite part of himself, and takes almost as much care of it as a woman does hers, adding products that give it a slightly greasy appearance. Being eighteen, he is attempting to grow facial hair, but somehow its always splotchy and uneven. He thinks it makes him look older, but whatever. He is also pretty short, and most are surprised to find out that he’s a Smith.

Personality: He is extremely laid-back and personable, and not shy at all. His easy manner and playful sarcasm can lead others to think he is vain, but he is unaware of it and just tries harder to be their friend. In this way, he is similar to an orphaned pup.

He hates being tied down, making dragonriding seem like a rotten deal to him. This also caused him to leave home early, nearly running away, when it was quite evident to most that he wasn't ready (including himself). He is very stubborn and sticks to his resolutions, because he doesn't like being wrong or being treated like a child.

History: When he first saw a dragon (he'd never seen them up close until a Search at his hold), he found them awfully strange-looking. Their mind-reading ability startled him. While his older sister was Searched, he was deemed too young and not of the right personality to be a rider. Later on, he became a Smithcraft Apprentice and then journeyman, and was sent to Relasun Weyr to help with repairs and the like. He rarely does any metalwork, but sticks to construction. His opinion of Dragons, however, is starting to change after Impressing the brown flitt Drathe.

Firelizards

Owner: Belind

Name: Drathe
Age: Hatchling
Colour: Brown
Hatching Place: Relasun Weyr

Appearance: Drathe is large, almost the size of a bronze. He certainly looks like one, albeit an extremely dark bronze, but his chocolaty hide lacks the metallic sheen that is seen in all bronzes.

Personality: Drathe is brave, and will some day become known for flying in front of charging bull herd beasts and performing acrobatics in front of a broody queen, but for right now, he is content to eat and sleep. He is quick thinker when in trouble, but is horrible at planning ahead. He is also unrestrained. Drathe does what he wants when he wants to.

This character has been abandoned; the player has not logged in for more than one month (with no warning and absentee announcement), missed a role call, or has not played a newly Impressed character, despite opportunities and warnings, for at least two weeks.

Owning player may still reclaim the character, provided that they explain the abandonment adequately (i.e. lost power unexpectedly).
