Well, the colour of a hatchling is determined by the basic personality of a character, the quality of the player's posts (not necessarily for just that character), and, if needed, the activity of the player (mostly for golds, sometimes bronzes). Candidates will be sorted into colour groupings. Next, adult sizes are assigned (oh, and we go by the metre system) and colouring (more specific). Some may be named at this stage, some may not. After every hatchling has an adult size, they are put into a random generator, grouped by colour. The candidates will also by grouped by colour and randomly listed. The two lists will be put together to match a candidate to the dragon. After that comes personalities. For the most part, they will be the opposite of their rider, though they may have some qualities in common. Names are finished last. If they haven't been given one already, they will get a name that matches their personality. We don't use real words for names here. And just for fun, some people in every Hatching will get to choose their hatchling's name ahead of time B-) For the Hatching itself, there will be some time for candidates to gather. Once enough have arrived, the first egg will hatch. The order is not quite random; while the list israndomized, preference will go to those already present. Hatchlings may wander about for a while before choosing their rider. Questions? PM me ^^ |
