The wind ripped through the graceful elven face as she road steadfast towards Rivendell. Her horse Ariya, with hair soft white in color and eyes that match the evergreen leaves in the summer, one of her many faithful companions. Ariya slowed as they reach the majestic place of Rivendell, a place Aewien had once lived at, now abandoned. Rivendell held so much history of her people and that of the battle for middle, with Lord Elrond gone this place seemed dismal and yet full of hope. Aewien gracefully dismounted Ariya her dress flowing like the wind behind her, her sun kissed golden locks surrounding her face as her soft bark colored irises gazed around.

The ground softly crunched beneath her light footsteps as she walked into the Rivendell palace. The tapestries hung told stories of amazing battles, heartless killings, and even soft romance. A soft smile graced her features as she delicately traced the stitching within each tapestry learning the story, wanting to bring it back to the Silvan elves at home, fill their thoughts with happiness.

Walking through the palace her footsteps echoed, such a loneliness filled this place and Aewien's heart as she thought of the place that was once filled with graceful elves, and the council of Elrond. Problems always arising and being solved, laughter and seriousness all located in the same place.

Yet here she was alone, learning the history something she thoroughly enjoyed, but the laughter was something she always would miss.

Haeleana had been riding across Eriador for about two weeks now. She knew that the Misty Mountains were the next step on the journey for her but her heart filled with dread as she imagined going through those perilous mountains once more. But she knew she had to to get to her destination. But at least she took some comfort in that there was no rush. She decided that perhaps it would be worth her while to visit Imladris for a while as it had been a while since she took a little time off from her travelling and Imladris seemed to be the perfect place.

She guided Athelas across the Fords of Bruinen and headed up to the small collection of homely houses entwined with the natural world. She smiled as Athelas carried her up the path down which the elves had gone for the last time to Valinor. She smiled sadly at the thought of those beautiful beings gone from Middle Earth forever. She was grateful that some had stayed though even if it did sound selfish.

She rode into the centre of Rivendell and dismounted. She looked at the beautiful things around her and felt out of place like she was spoiling the view in her plain green and brown clothes.

Aewien continued to walk the beautiful halls at a gentle glide, her eyes taking in the scenery around her, it had been a long time since she had seen these walls not since well the last meeting of the ambassadors had she been here and that seemed like many eons ago. The trees seemed grander and all the more wise with knowledge gained. The houses were now mere memento's of the beautiful beings that had graced middle earth probably far beyond even her elfling years.

The sound of a restless Ariya pricked the ears of Aewien who speed up her leisurely walk to see what had caused her dear friend distress. Moving quietly through the forest, her cool white cotton dress flew behind her, as she grabbed Ariya's main and looked her in the eyes to calm her friends rapidly beating heart. A splash of fiery red caught her eye, as she looked she stood and lead her stead out in the open, speaking words in her native tongue loud and clear.

" Mára aurë...
Heniach nin?"

Her words slipped easily off of her elven tongue, a brave face, as she looked at the back of her mysterious visitor.

Heniach nin?- do you understand me?
Mára aurë-Hello

"Mára aurë...
Heniach nin?"

Haeleana turned around to see an elf watching her. A smile graced Haeleana's small mouth as she turned around properly recognising the elvish that she spoke. She took a few steps away from Athelas and towards the stranger. Her movement was calm and graceful matching the mood of Rivendell. "Mae Govannen....Tancave...." she said answering both the elf's greetings with her own in a tongue that was almost as natural as her tongue of men.

"Gîl síla na lû govaded, Heryn-en-Imladris" she spoke smoothly whilst looking around sadly at the empty village. She felt sad that none of elves dwelt here anymore. It was a shame and it seemed that autumn seemed to freeze on this place. There was no laughter no singing anymore. She turned her attention back to the elf.

"Man eneth lín?" she asked politely waiting for an answer from the elf. She almost bit her tongue in shame as she realised she ought to introduce herself first. "Estannen Haeleana in Dunedain" she said calmly.

"Mae Govannen....Tancave....

The young women before her, spoke these words with elegance and grace, not giving off any feeling of an enemy, much to Aewiens surprise. A soft gentle smile graced her features and she patted down on Ariya's flank in a way to tell that she, this Haeleana was of no threat to them. Aewien stepped away from her friend and towards this new mysterious person. Aewien had always been a little curious, but curiousity nowadays could result in death. Taking a few steps closer towards Haeleana she offered a smile,

"Aewien eneth nîn...Findesselya vanya," Aewien finished offering a compliment about the young woman's beautiful fire kissed hair, something not often seen in Eryn Lasgalen. " I am from Eryn Lasgalen, friend..." she spoke of the high praise that Haeleana had given her, to be a lady of Rivendell was just as grand as being the queen of Gondor in her eyes. It had been many years since Aewien had seen the gates of Gondor or traveled anywhere farther than Rivendell itself. Aewien touched a nearby tree, feeling lonliness radiate..." It is quiet now..." she stated towards Haeleana. Her eyes flickered as she heard the snap of a nearby branch and whispered, "No veren..."

ooc-translation

"Aewien eneth nîn...Findesselya vanya,"

Haeleana smiled knowingly looking upwards at the strand of red hair that had fallen in her face. She pushed it aside with a soft stroke and bowed her head towards the elf. "Gen hannon" she said quietly. "Hendesselya vanya" she said in return. ((ooc: i hope that means what i want it to i substituted hair for eyes))

" I am from Eryn Lasgalen, friend..."

"Ah goheno nin...my assumptions have failed me it seems" Haeleana said with a smile at the elf. She was very comfortable with speaking elvish, that much was obvious. She loved her own tongue but there was something meaningful about elvish.

..." It is quiet now..."

Haeleana nodded as her ears pricked at the sound of something. "Indeed Rivendell is deserted..or so it would seem" she said cautiously not moving yet hearing something move in some nearby trees/ Slowly Haeleana's hand reached for her sword. It wasn't a large sword nor was it small. It was good enough to defend herself and this elf with if she had to.

"Avo 'osto!" she said quietly. "Lasto! Tiro!" she gestured her head to some moving bushes. "Hain ú-'rogon"

ooc translation

Gen hannon - I thank you
Goheno nin - Forgive me
Avo 'osto! - Fear not
Lasto - Listen
Tiro - Look
Hain ú-'rogon - I do not fear them

Aewien saw Haeleana jump quickly into battle mode while not even yet spying a threat, but there was a mystery within the air of Rivendell, all was to quiet around. Even in an abandoned place there was to be the sound of something. Aewien slowly walked to the right side of Ariya leisurely not wanting to cause a trigger that would start this more a less unfair battle for the attacker that is.

Aewien easliy took out her favored bow and a quiver from the pack that was on Ariya's right side hidden from most view, an element of surprise she liked to have amongst those who thought they could take her. Sliding the quiver over her head she moved closer towards Haeleana.

" They should fear us should they not?" she joked stringing up an arrow on her bow ready for any sudden attack.

"No galu govad gen..."

ooc translation
No galu govad gen- May Blessings be with you...[meant in good luck form
