If anyone had told her that her first official trip to the Houses of Healing would be by way of mass panic and fear for another Gondorian's life. Gwenneth may not have been so full of energy about making it there ever. But life had a way of sneaking up on you and getting things done in round about ways that were never expected or really desired, which was exactly how Gwenneth felt in this moment.

For a long time she had thought about coming to the houses of healing, meeting with the healers and expressing her interest to become one of them some day in the future. To serve Gondor along side some of the finest in history and aid the continued existence of humanity in every way she could.

When a child fell down, she would be there to wipe its knee.
When an old lady fell sick, she would be there to read and keep company.

But when it was a friend that laid across her, as Haeleana did now, Gwenneth wasn't so sure she was as ready as she thought. The whole thing had happened so quickly, that thinking back Gwenneth saw little more than a blur of images and then this reality.

One where thankfully, Haeleana was in no worse condition and asleep in the bed she'd been given. It had only been an hour and Gwenneth had spent that time watching over Haeleana with a devotion that surprised even herself. She'd barely had the opportunity to know Haeleana but Gwenneth had felt compelled to stay. She'd even gone as far as to have Haeleana's family messaged and summoned, though they had yet to arrive in the houses she was certain they were coming.

Every now and again, Gwenneth would check for fever and dab Haeleana's face cool with a cloth. The healers had been able to figure out what was wrong and insisted that Haeleana would pull through. Gwenneth, although respectful of their words of reassurance, wouldn't believe it completely until Haeleana woke up and she'd see it for herself.

The darkness was swirling away from her and she felt a lightness in her chest again. She was free to breath and the smell of the poison was slowly disappearing. She could smell the sweet scent of lavendar, athelas and many of sweet scent. She could feel something soft being placed on her forehead. She shifted to the touch a small smile creeping over her sleeping face. Whoever was doing that to her she didn't want them to stop. They were bringing her back from the terrible place where she had gone to after arrival at the Houses of Healing.

She closed her eyes from the dark and found them opening to bright light. She blinked a few times and looked up and around slowly. She turned her head right and recognised a blurry figure coming into view. Her face broke out into a smile. She reached out and took Gwynneth's hand. She had never been so happy to see her. She looked around and saw that the room was bright and airy. She turned back to Gwynneth.

"Thank you for bringing me here" she said raising her head slightly only to lower it again, her head felt a bit heavy but other than other little things Haeleana felt much better. She noticed that she had a few bandages where the orcs had managed to hurt her. "How long have you waited?" she asked concerned.

When Haeleana's hand took her own, Gwenneths eyes went wide and bright with pure delight. She hadn't expected that Haeleana would wake up so soon but was thrilled by and by that the woman had the strength to pull through sooner than what had been hoped.

"Haeleana. she beamed with a large smile spreading from ear to ear. Coming closer and sitting on the edge of the bed just so Hael wouldn't have to strain much at all to speak or hear.

"I appreciate your gratitude but I did only what you yourself would have if our places had been reversed; pausing then to look more closely into her eyes and nodded in understanding. "You were strong the whole way through, Haeleana. I never doubted you'd be alright."

She took the moment to turn and drop the cool cloth back into the basin that had been used to keep the water cold and turned back, to give Haeleana's hand a little squeeze.

"An hour or so I think, in truth I haven't left since I first arrived with you. Though I've sent for your mother on your behalf. She should be arriving shortly."

Gwenneths appeal came from her eyes, the soft wash of blue were stunning and calming as if staring out into the haven of the sea. It was her nature, the kindness of her soul that peered out from the glossy spires and whispered of her strength and its continuity.

Her air only changed when she leaned in a little closer and dropped the volume of her voice to just above a whisper.

"Haeleana, it might not be my place to ask but what happened to you? When I found you, you were in such a state and speaking of Uruk hai...."

"I appreciate your gratitude but I did only what you yourself would have if our places had been reversed; pausing then to look more closely into her eyes and nodded in understanding. "You were strong the whole way through, Haeleana. I never doubted you'd be alright."

Haeleana nodded with a happy smile. "Still you have shown great kindness to me, a kindness that must be repayed" she said quietly looking up at the ceiling letting her head rest against the pillow. "I did not feel strong. I have never felt so weak in my entire life. That was the worst poison I could ever encounter. Of course I know some people who have strength enough to counter that poison better than I" she added her voice a little stronger.

"An hour or so I think, in truth I haven't left since I first arrived with you. Though I've sent for your mother on your behalf. She should be arriving shortly."

"My mother?" Haeleana asked her eyes narrowing. "Oh no..." she murmured with a small chuckle. She gave a reassurign smile to Gwynneth. "Do not worry you did the right thing...the only problem I shall now have is evading being dragged back to the clan" she laughed a little before coughing. She sat up as the coughing fit took hold for a moment before finally settling down. Haeleana lay back her body now a little weakened from the fit.

"You do not have to stay you know" she whispered hoarsely but with a grateful smile. "Not that I mind you staying of course. Your company is very soothing"

"Haeleana, it might not be my place to ask but what happened to you? When I found you, you were in such a state and speaking of Uruk hai...."

"Of course you have the right to ask. For the kindness you have shown me, I shall answer that by answering your question..." she took a few deep breaths as she prepared to speak

The playful lament over her mother's knowledge on the matter was responded to by a full hearted but low giggle. Gwenneth didn't have a mother to truly understand it, but parents were parents regardless of sex. Her own fathers protective nature was point and fact of that.

"Aye Haeleana, I suspect your mother would want you close after this but more so that a spirit like yours will find away out of her hold after only a few days."

When Haeleana seemed to suggest that Gwenneth had her leave to part, Gwenneth canted her head to one side, gave a spry spirited little smile and then made a point of settling back into her seat as if to say she'd plan on being there awhile longer. She said nothing, her point already clearly made.

Then, more seriously Gwenneth steadied her eyes into Haeleana's stare and focused on her attentively. It wasn't Gwen's place to ask or pry but something inside of her simply had to know. Both to accept the realities and dangers that loomed outside of Gondor and the unspoken threat that was slowly building.

"Yes," she reaffirmed the already mentioned and added onto it.
"You spoke of Uruk hai and then the misty mountains. The details were broken when you gave them, considering your state but I understood that much of it."
