Scyne stepped out of her small house and marvelled at the view from Edoras this day. It was a peaceful calm morning with a hint of a breeze. The sun had not yet risen to its highest point so she knew it was not yet midday. She looked around at her neighbours who were getting ready to greet the day. She sat down on the steps with a smile, her face lighting up as she heard the pitter patter of her daughter's footsteps as she saw the little girl jump off the steps, stand still taking in the morning around her. She turned to her mother who pulled her onto her knees and kissed the side of her head. "What is it that you wish to do today, Meawyn?" she asked cuddling her daughter close. She felt her daughter turn and hug her, a hug which she returned. "Do you wish to learn more of Edoras' songs?" she suggested a small smile on her lips. Meawyn shook her head slowly and Scyne couldn't help but stare at her beautiful daughter. She had brown hair that cascaded down her back beautifully in long flowing waves. Her skin was as pale as her mother's but her eyes were most definitely her father's. Even her facial structure mirrored that of her father. She had a strong jaw and her eyes were as grey as iron but there was a gentleness in Meawyn's face that she seemed to have come up with all on her own. Perhaps it was childhood but even so Meawyn seemed more relaxed and at peace than other children . "I wish to ride, Mama! Father said he would take me later!" Scyne raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Really? Where does he plan to take you?" she asked looking up as her husband came out the house. She smiled as he sat next to her and shifted Meawyn onto his lap. He put one arm around Scyne and another around Meawyn. Scyne placed her hands on her growing stomach. Soon she would be a mother of two. She only had a few months until she had the baby. |

Faramir had some business in Minas Tirith, for while Eowyn had went with him. But it seemed that the business was going to take a little longer than first thought. Fancying a visit to her old home, Eowyn was allowed to travel to Edoras with a company of course. Stepping out onto the familiar stone of the Golden Halls, Eowyn closed her eyes and let the wind blow over her. Being back here. . visiting her brother and his wife. . It was just bringing back to so many memories. Walking through the halls it had almost been like she had seen herself and her brother and her cousin running through the halls. . Or when they got older, she watching her brother and cousin leave for battle. Walking down the steps and away from the palace, she watched the goingings on of Edoras. People smiling and talking, working around their homes. She saw a particular little girl that was hugging her mother. Eowyn smiled faintly. . She had not had much time with her mother nor her father. Seeing the love between the two made her heart happy. That was what they had fought the war for. . |

Scyne smiled as her husband placed Meawyn back on her lap gently so as not to hurt the baby. She wrapped her arms around Meawyn holding her as the little girl looked around Edoras as some of the other children were coming out to play. Looking away from her daughter Scyen spotted someone she did not expect to see in this city for a long time. She had left for Gondor quite a while ago although it was nice to see her again. "Lady Eowyn, good morning!" she greeted rising and placing Meawyn on the ground on her feet. Meawyn followed her mother's gaze and curtsied. "Lady Eowyn!" she squealed excitedly. Scyne had told her tales of the bravery of the White Lady of Rohan and now she could see Meawyn was delighted to meet her. The little girl ran up to the White Lady jumping up and down excitedly. Scyne's eyes widened but she laughed as she watched her daughter. "How do you do?" Meawyn asked in a tiny polite voice curtsying again. |

Hearing her name, Eowyn looked in the direction. Smiling, she took a few steps towards the little family. "And a good morning to you as well." As good of a morning as she had had in a long while. Waking up here, in Edoras, it was familiar and wonderful. Not that she wasn't getting used to Ithilien. Looking down she had to stop walking or risk running into the little girl. Bending down Eowyn got to eye level with the girl. It was deffinatly not the first time someone had been excited like this around her. But she didn't see herself as any different. She was a woman that had been raised in Rohan and was now living in Ithilien. "I am doing very well thank you." Standing Eowyn did a little curtsy of her own. "And might I ask how you are doing this morning?" |

"And a good morning to you as well." Scyne nodded with a smile. "It is nice to see you back in Rohan, Lady Eowyn" she said warmly. "It is also good to see you are well because you are still loved and sorely missed by all of us" she said with a smile as her husband came out and nodded. She stood next to him and he put an arm around her turning to Eowyn. Scyne smiled up at him. "May I introduce my husband Eolystan" she said as Eolystan bowed to Lady Eowyn with a quiet. "My Lady" "I am doing very well thank you." Standing Eowyn did a little curtsy of her own. "And might I ask how you are doing this morning?" Meawyn jumped up and down excitedly. "I'm going riding with Papa!" she said her cheeks rosy with delight. "I get to see the Riddermark today!" she squealed and Scyne sighed. "Not all of it young lady" she laughed |

"It is deffinatly good to be back." Even if it was just for a visit. She sorely missed the land where she had grown up. "And I dare say that I miss it greatly around here. . Though Ithilien is a wonderful place." It was a surprise really. Sure the tale of what had transpired on the Fields of battle probably got around, but that they missed her so much. . . "Nice to meet you Eolystan" The little girl grabbed her attention again. "You're mother is right. The Riddermark is very large. One day I'm sure you'll see it all, but I think you should probably start small." Though it was good that peace was still over the parts so that this young girl could see the lands where she was being raised instead of kept caged up in Edoras. |

"And I dare say that I miss it greatly around here. . Though Ithilien is a wonderful place." Scyne smiled appreciatively. "I have been told it is. One of my sisters resides there I believe" she said. "I know at least one of them dwells in Ithilien I am uncertain which one" she smiled wryly. "It must be so much more beautiful now Gondor has been restored to its natural Numeronean might" she said calmly. Eolystan nodded and went inside briefly to sort out a few books. Meawyn looked around her at Edoras then back at Lady Eowyn. "Mama's idea of small and my idea of small are very strange things, Lady Eowyn" Meawyn said making Scyne laugh. She shook her head at her daughter. "Meawyn that is a rude thing to say and don't speak in that tone" she chuckled. "You will see enough today and with the way your father rides you will be tired out by the end of it" "The way Papa rides I will miss all of it" Meawyn smiled. "He goes so fast" |

"They have certainly outdone themselves with the rebuilding." Eowyn could only go by what she had seen in books, and what the tales had told. Gondor was not a realm that she had ever went to before the war. But the way that it was rebuilt, made her wish that she would had seen it. Then again, she would have seen it when there had been no king. . And she had head tell of the madness of her husbands father. "I am sure that is the case. But you have your whole life ahead of you to see the wide world now that there is peace." And, knowing her brother well, Rohan would be well protected. "The way Papa rides I will miss all of it" Meawyn smiled. "He goes so fast" Eowyn couldn't contain her laughter. "I'm sure he does ride swiftly. One day when you are big enough to ride alone, with your parents permission of course, you could come ridding with me and I will show you the Mark." |
